Before even watching I just want to take a second to thank this man. Has done so much for NA CS, especially at a time where the profits just aren't there, he's still pulling through.
@@conorcarrigan5543 Surely, but for me personally, he's brought a lot more excitement and happiness seeing Complexity grow at a time when Liquid went EU and all seemed lost.
@@turkeyman631 No doubt, but there is a bigger history of COL and esports that you might have missed. They were one of the driving factors. And Liquid even going to EU I get that it sucked, but they did a ton for the beginning of the rise that isn't spoken of either. Got to remember both teams come from trying to do good things when there was ZERO benefit for doing so.
@@conorcarrigan5543 Yeah, I've only really been watching pretty much right when n0thing left CoL. So beginning of GO and prior to that I dont know too much.
He tried forcing an inferior game on the community back in the day because of his EGO and stupidity of pretending to know esports. (CGS/CSS) he is a bit of a wanker and it shines right through every interview he has
I remember back in 2009 as an amateur blogger flying from Australia and interviewing him at MLG Anaheim. Dude got me a VIP Media pass and gave me an hour of his time. Super generous and encouraging guy. So glad to see him back.
Most people are fans of teams because of the players in the team, myself included. Jason Lake is the reason why i am a fan of Complexity, it's so hard to hate this man. An absolute gem
As someone playing CS since 99, Jason Lake is just epic. I like to imagine him playing some games with the team in MM. He just seems like he still plays, anyway
dude, if you love counter strike, you love jason lake. no matter the age or region you are from. he has done so much for this game, that you can only support him.
jason lake is such a like able guy, so hard not to root for him and complexity. passion and genuine care for esports from an owner should not be taken for granted. ❤
This is a topman for the business and you can tell that he gives it his all. Love how genuine Jason Lake has always been and rooting for more complexity success!
Jason lake is a legend. He helped this sport grow just like previous teams from the past have. The entire history and achievements of every organization counts like in any sport. Love that he is still around. 🎉
I got into CS in 2004 and so clearly remember looking up to the Complexity team at the time. It’s amazing to see Jason Lake still around and pouring his soul (and money) into the game - so happy for him and appreciative.
God damn, love this man! This is the sort of leadership e-sport teams and organistations so badly need! We need more of this power to the Scandinavian scene hats off to you, mr. lake!
Absolute legend and amazing human. CoL flair through good times and bad. To add, man what grace to be thankful for the opportunity just to be there even when doing media after a brutal loss. Class act.
One of my fav moments from complexity and Jason was CS Eleague season 1 where Jason made a bet with thorin that if complexity beat gambit, Thorin would have to wear a complexity shirt on the broadcast and Complexity pulled of the upset
i dont know much about this guy (i like the col cs team though :)) but the fact he talks about his employees and how his org is run by multiple people for like 3 minutes is so respectable
Before even watching I just want to take a second to thank this man. Has done so much for NA CS, especially at a time where the profits just aren't there, he's still pulling through.
has done so much for esports* not limited to NA fully not limited to one game.

Met Jason in 2005 at CPL for CSS, class act. 2008 when the pro league crashed he persisted, hero of CS.

I used to watch the old COL documentaries in 2004 as a kid. Still supporting CoL. Jason Lake is the goat and an esports pioneer

Thanks for everything you have done coL.1. U deserve to be in the esports hall of fame
What a fucking legend of the scene. I could never take these crazy risks like Jason has done his entire career.

Jason Lake is the only man that can save NA CS
What an amazing man, God bless ya Jason Lake!
What a nutter! I'll be watching Complexity more closely now, and hope they can continue for another 20 years.
Humble man. Hope they bring back the OG Complexity Logo and get rid of the cowboys star.
Contrast this guy to any of Astralis or NIP HQ
I want a biopic movie about Jason Lake! He's gotta be played by David Harbour and it can be about the whole history of esports!
We fans love you for you passion Jason Lake. Wish you all the succes.
The legend himself. Mad respect.
Great interview, hoping to see the org do well

Nah recording anamorphic (crop or not) is fire
What was the sponsor Jason was talking about 17:45
Just guessing... Complexity beat Pain which is sponsored by to American companies - Subway and JBL. One of those is my educated guess.
Red Bull, most likely
oh man 🥺🥺
Might as well add, too stubborn to fail too

He looks a bit like professor's older brother.
Wish you would published this sooner
28:46 ropes lulw
Noeth make sure to keep hyping up seriously rich but passionless orgs outside of NA
Astralis Liquid Spirit VP need your help
why you keep looking off to the side. its not professional
Too stubborn to change his dogshit roster too apparently
he probably doesn't have the money to upgrade the roster at the moment.
bro you're so ignorant lmfao
Post-Major is the time to look for changes, that's when the opportunities pop up and make sense
