Thank you for the practical styling tips! I love your vibe and your methodology. I have a couple pairs of Aquatalia waterproof boots that have lasted over a decade, and are still going strong. Beauty and function, a worthwhile investment for sure! Keep up the good work!
I am so so envious of people who are lucky enough to be able to easily buy footwear that fits them. I am a size 42.5 to size 43 and I have to make numerous orders of shoes and boots and just keep trying on until I finally find something to fit me. The manufacturers often seem to assume that if your foot is long it must be wide too and often shoes that are long enough are just far too wide. And the boots in the bigger sizes are often ridiculously big around the calf so you could almost fit your arm in too! I mostly just wear mens trainers but my feet do get really cold in the winter. A lot is written about size inclusivity but it never seems to extend to shoes! And more and more brands seem now to only stock up to size 41. Whereas in the old days they always used to stock a size 42 and I had half a chance of squeezing into them if they came up big.
Classic style black boots never go out of style. I’ve had mine for about 8 years now. Last winter I didn’t wear them, but this winter I will definitely reach for them again😊

I'm contemplating a trip to Croatia in April, which I think will still be chilly(?). I want some footwear that will be functional, yet cute (of course!). Worried about all day sightseeing, so think walking around in skimmers is out. Was contemplating Blundstone's (black --or pearl white for fun), tennis shoes and then just not sure what else. I know you've done capsule wardrobes for summer, but this is a shoulder season, and I am stumped. Helllllllpppp.
Love this video! I’ve started thinking about the length of my pants and height of my boots a lot. So many cropped pants that just feel super impractical in winter. I’m in Colorado, so I need to be ready for the cold and snow. I have a pair of winter hiking boots, with a great textured sole and faux fur lining. I also love your new boots!

Yes I learned something new! Buying black boots has been my goal for sometime (I live in sunny CA though, sorry not Canada, (my grandma grew up there). I liked how you said you wanted your boots to disappear under your pants/denim, that's exactly what I want for me. I wouldn't need the "winter" boots but I loved seeing yours, and your story of them, which will help me decide on my next purchase. (love seeing your cat too).
I'll add that even though I've successfully bought boots online, they're one purchase I think is best made trying on in a store. Being a great walker = great calf muscles!

Me too I have that colour type of boot but they are laceups and the colour given for it is PEWTER. It's quite rare to see people wearing this colour but I love it

You really went rogue on finally getting those boot that I had mention years ago that were lacking from your closet, but you still might have to bite the bullet and find a rugged flat lug sole combat black boot style to finish this off. But the moto style boot is a good substitute for non-slick weather. You are loving the gun metal boot and you going to love something in black that bring both worlds together of the moto with a lug sole. Has it already snowed there? Brrrrrrrrr! I have the UGG snow boots like that the ones shown here, I got them second hand but mine is in olive and just so darn cute and utilitarian boot.
