Ford Maverick - Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering Explained

- In this video I tried to explain how the Adaptive cruise control (ACC) and the lane centering (LC) operate in the new Ford Maverick. The highway I filmed this on is mainly empty and I had ACC and LC turned on most of the time.
As the saying goes “Do as I say, not as I do”, no matter what technology your vehicle has always be aware and alert when driving.

Very helpful video. I just got my Maverick Lariat a few days ago so I'm just learning a lot of the safety features. I didn't realize the ACC can also make the vehicle come to a complete stop. That's fantastic!
Thank you so much. Did a test drive yesterday and the salesperson didn't even tell me about the adaptive cruise on off button. No wonder I was underwhelmed by the cruise capabilities. He knew very little about the vehicle although. he admited they hardly have had any on the lot.
Great video Nomnom, very informative
Awesome Grid!
Omg just figured out this is why my truck won't center right. I thought it was alignment issue.
I bought a 2023 Maverick Lariat with co pilot 360 package and was trying to figure out how these options work and was having trouble. Come to find out I don’t even have the correct steering wheel to perform those functions. Not sure what’s going out mistake from factory or what
I’m hoping to find a local dealer that has this in the Lariat trim.
I got one, but mine doesn't have the adaptive cruise. I wish!!
Can you turn in lane centering without cruise control on?
I’m not sure I fully understand your question.. you can turn with both lane centering and lane keep, you will always be able to take control of the steering wheel above any automation.
@@nomnomtech4070 I have my lane centering on without cruise control all the time.
But that feature is for lariat modelo only?
Correct, it’s part of the Lariat Lux package
Getting the copilot 360 will give you these features also
@@TheBstakz all 360 gets you on lower trims is BLIS and lane keeping aids. No radar cruise control.
In fact on the XL you get blis and lane keeping aids but no cruise control at all.
@@TheBstakz only the Lariat trim with the Luxury package will get you lane CENTERING and Adaptive cruise control.. the other trims don’t get either of those options.
@@nick112207 2023 model years all trims including XL include cruise control regardless if you get the 360 copilot safety feature package.
I wonder why Ford loves to have ON/OFF cruise button and then another button to turn cruise ON.
It seems they want to make your daily driving as annoying as possible.
It is one of the most disgusting features, should be removed.
I would pay money to remove it.
Mercedes has the best logic, a cruise stick, simply one push and you are ON. No extra activation, no BS.
Thanks for this one. I can't decide whether I want the XL or Lariat. I only care about the adaptive cruise. For me that's as good as self-driving, only part of self driving that I'd ever care about. The rest of the Lariat trim they could keep, I even prefer steel wheels. Right now I'm thinking XL and then if Toyota comes out with a compact pickup to switch up. Toyota gives you adaptive cruise on even their bottom end trims...
I know right! Options options!
Yeah I was very disappointed in ford and what comes with what. You can only get the ACC on the lariat while most car manufacturers offer it on their base models 🙃
@@probation2propagation420 I even gave them a shot to sell me a Lariat too.. but reviews say the value isn't there at all on that trim. It sucks. They just don't really upgrade it enough to warrant it. Or I may have gone for it.
Toyota is the company that could probably get away with this, given their reliability. Instead you get it all from them. Reliability and AAC on base models! They actually want to sell cars.
I'm probably buying within 1 year (in order of preference and what I can get ahold of), Toyota Tacoma > Toyota Stout (their Mav) > Toyota Tundra.
