    Reliability was at the top of my list when I purchased my X-Rider and it has not disappointed………I will definitely upgrade to the V-Cross, the blue 1 in colour………..for me peace of mind supersedes everything else and for me Isuzu gives me exactly that.

    Isuzu for you! Simple, reliable, tough, and straight to the point. No funny gimmicks.

    Don't get me wrong Tata, it's a beauty of a thing and well engineered I'm sure. But I feel Isuzu is playing catch up to the leaders in this segment. I think it compares very well to the current/outgoing Ranger, Amarok, Hilux etc. but will be outclassed in a few months when those refreshed models arrive spotting more torquey powerplants and better refinement. Isuzu should have released this bakkie two or three years ago to compete against the outgoing models

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад +6

      That may be true tata, however their core customer base is welcoming to these developments, and they lnow quite well how to please a brand loyal base

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад +4

      And amazingly they have been the 2nd best selling bakkie since since with that old tech.

    • @eliasRUNs
      @eliasRUNs 2 года назад +2

      I agree with you on the spec is more like 3 years old tech on others but the pricing is so right that it will sell well when the competition you mention releases the new models.

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад +1

      And it's a good thing it's locally made so they should not encounter glitches to persue sales

    Please clarify on the ability to change gearbox, are you referring to auto / manual? Also, did you say he lid comes standard?

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад

      Has manual and Auto Box, and one can change up by maneuvering the throttle, Yeah I think that cover is standard on the V-Cross

      Tata, finance deals calculations are not my speciality, most of these new car sites have built in systems, or you can consult Muzi Sambo, he specializes in those.

      No so much a head up display more than a reflective warning in cluster and on dash via windscreen to warn of pending danger

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад +1

      Am doing my best to get that one as well tata, judging from the previous gen 2.5, that 1.9 may be starch of sales for the brand.

    Very nice. Very attractive. It's just unfortunate Isuzu, as usual, made what seems like a half-hearted attempt at an all-new car instead of going all out. The result? Ford Ranger is coming to squash it like a fly. The upcoming Ranger is light-years ahead of this.

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  2 года назад +3

      South Africa is brand loyalty driven nation, to the Isuzu diehard customers its exactly what they need to keep them, they have been in 3rd position for years and in the 1st and 2nd quarter of this year they were 2nd with old product, while the Ranger may boast all the tech, the Isuzu customer still wants what they have come to love from the brand, reliability, the tech has been updated albeit old but it works.

      @@wezilebonani you're absolutely right Tata. Isuzu has nailed the department of understanding what their customers want. Still wouldn't hurt to give it something a lil more interesting tech wise. Thanks for the very informative review by the way.

    I test drove it, but hey, that Engine is very very noisy for a vehicle in 2023! We want refinement ngoku

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  11 месяцев назад

      It's a common rail diesel engine, plus it's a bakkie Tata, albeit with some luxuries, it's probably why they have managed to keep below the 1bar mark that all other have gone over.

    • @mzwandilejanuary4222
      @mzwandilejanuary4222 11 месяцев назад +1

      @wezilebonani you make a good point. Lots of outdated technology on the Dmax though. Having said that, I travel high speeds and long distance. That bakkie is very comfortable. And it sticks to the road. But ke, one has to buy what one can live with daily. I'll make my decision after Toyota releases its bakkie. I couldn't live with that engine noise though, they could've done better

    • @wezilebonani
      @wezilebonani  11 месяцев назад +1

      Ndima nawe Tata, happiness is key on such purchases, yeah she behaves very well laDMax, lemme check when Toyota will Wil rewrite history again, Kuba they are under no pressure due to impressive and leading sales.
