Agreed. I liked the announcements during the early 2010s until August 2015. The new announcements are cringe.

8:18 On the Canada Line, why is there no double chime before the announcement "This train is for Richmond-Brighouse" the way there is prior to such announcements on the Expo and Millennium Lines?

@@christophermcdonald1122 The Canada Line is operated by ProTransBC than of BC Rapid Transit Company for the Expo and Millennium Lines. Therefore, it is natural that announcement interpretation is different between companies.
