Don't worry, nothing of value was lost. When you triggered the ending, you didn't die. So there was no body. I was hoping you'd hit the market for the capacity upgrades. Since you didn't die and load in, you basically got back in the same state as you did before the first fight.
I noticed that you checked "Equipped chips" which only shows equipped chips... (Chat should have paid attention, lol) It doesn't display things you haven't on and would also hide the ones you would unequip.
I'm pretty sure you still have all the chips that you applied, but they show under "All chips" or specific chip types (support, attack, defense, hacking). It might be worth checking out how the chip upgrading works. The goal is to get a combination of more powerful chips using the least amount of capacity, and adapt to your playstyle.
Also, try and practice some of the basic combos. X is the light attack (top weapon), Y is the heavy attack (bottom weapon). The Combo number on the weapon shows how many hits you can chain for that weapon on that attack (which extend with upgrades). There's a few good ones that are hidden, like jump and immediately going into a heavy attack. Try it with a great sword, it's very handy when overrun by weaker mobs.
