I always wanted a Seiko watch but had no money to speak of. I sent all but a small amount to my new wife in an allotment. I was able to smuggle a K bar and a 2 qt soft canteen home. Later on I used the canteen as a pillow during Desert Storm and then I gave it to a son in law to use during Iraqi Freedom. I finally got a Seiko about 2002 for Christmas. It is powered by sunlight!

Great interview. Awesome content. Have you ever thought of interviewing any of the indigenous to Vietnam soldiers who interpreted and fought hand in hand most times running point on all these missions. Some of these men spent numerous years running these missions with many different attachments. Many MACV SOG members say they are a good reason why they are alive today.

Reading.........? I'm about as interested in reading as BIG DUKE was in reading Capt. Willards orders from Natrang. My generation grew up watching your generation fight a War on T.V and grateful I don't have to READ about it , thanks to the like's of Terry and this platform.
