We travelled to London 2 weeks ago to get enough BA footage for an anniversary film :)
On August 25, 1919 the first scheduled international service of Air Transport and Travel - a company that later merged into BA - flew from Hounslow to Paris. Over the years several other airlines have merged into each other and finally into British Airways.
0:40 to 1:37 are some of BA's events in chronological order, with the merge of BOAC and BEA into British Airways at 0:48 or the joining to oneworld at 1:11.

To Fly To Serve. This is an illustration of a breathtaking airline which has had its highs and lows and has come out on top for over 100 years over my house. I absolutely can not begin in telling the world how this video literally leaves me speachless to the point that i can only say that this is a true illustration of the incredible brains behind such an incredible airline which for me will always be my first choice having flown on virtually all the fleet and arrived back home in such amazing colours. Long live BA and the engineers who make it happen along with all the crew too.

One of your best performances yet! That was spectacular! It's great to see that you got all of the retro liveries and the BA A35K; they really look fantastic don't they? Lucky you to have gotten a ride on the BEA A319 back home as well! Is it just me or has the camera quality also gone up as well? If so, it's a very noticeable difference. Beautiful camera work and crisp image quality made this film really stand out! Do come back soon, Virgin's A35K is almost here at Heathrow as well! Alles gute! :-)
Thank you very much Hao, we are very happy to hear that you like this film so much :) That A35k was pure luck, we were already through the security and looking for some magazines in T5 when I received the flight alert for XWBA. So we ran across the terminal (from the very south to the northern end) to record at least some footage of the A35k. I think it's not that bad :D
We upgraded our camera about half a year ago, however we noticed a very large difference compared to our other films as well. Especially the morning arrivals like BOAC blew our mind. I think the Eos R could really show off all her capabilities on that trip ;)
Flying BEA was great even though you can't really tell the difference from inside :D The pilots told us after landing that the automated guidance system for the parking stands in Hanover struggled with the black nose, so we had to wait for ground staff. Have a great day! ~ Ole ✈

Great to hear you love it! Short background story for the moonshot: We decided to eat something at the Tower of London and after we got out of the tube station we saw that moon with aircraft flying over it. We searched for a location where we can lean against (we had no tripod with us) and found a wall where we could put the camera on. We waited for a plane, pressed recording and hold our breath for 20s or so to get as least shakes as possible :D ~ Ole ✈

I have a Gemini200 British Airways Boeing 747-400 in the Landor color scheme, love this model.
Saw that one in the store at LHR... Really love the livery but sadly the Gemini200 Models are so expensive... ~ Ole ✈

Ein unglaubliches Video, welches unglaublich aufwändig produziert ist. Man merkt einfach, wie sehr ihr euch hierbei Mühe gegeben habt! Ganz klasse! Wie lebt es sich eigentlich so mit Abi? Ich brauche noch n paar Monate :)
Vielen Dank Daniel! Freut uns wirklich sehr dass es dir gefallen hat :) Wie es sich mit Abi lebt? Also zumindest bei mir war es so, dass ich Entscheidungen fürs Leben bei denen ich mir eigentlich sicher war wieder angezweifelt habe... Hab also viel nachgedacht und so richtig zufrieden bin ich immer noch nicht... Ansonsten wünsche ich dir schonmal ganz ganz viel Erfolg fürs Abi aber jetzt auch erstmal fürs Vorabi (wenns das bei euch auch gibt). Kleiner Tipp, nimm dir ganz viel Essen mit in die Prüfungen, das tut wahnsinnig gut xD ~ Ole ✈
How do you get such amazing video out of the cabin windows (Looking at 1:46 in this video)?
Is this also a wide-angle lens?

All inflight footage is shot using a GoPro Hero 7 Black with a suction cup. Thats where the wide FOV is from. To avoid reflections we hold a black jacket or something similar against the window.

I've wondered about using a suction mount on the cabin window before. Just not too sure how the cabin crew would react.

Normally the cabin crew doesn't really care, we had one time they asked that that is and after we told it's a camera they were fine. ~ Ole ✈
