@@herbertmuschette7303 Instead of just quoting from Wikipedia, (which suggests the entertainer had a similiar MO with the animated character,) I would share that Buju got the name when he was younger because someone thought he facially resembled Gargamel from Smurfs. He disagreed, but in Jamaican culture, the more you reject a nickname, the more it sticks and that's what happened.
