Born in JA, left 35 years ago. I use to
go back every couple of years on vacation. I was at the Secrets Wild Orchid Resort in Montego Bay just relaxing, half asleep, by a tree and someone (a black worker) came over and said, Rasta, wha u doing here, you cant be here. Looked up at him and said go away, leave me alone. He left. But its sad, all the beach front property has been sold out to foreigners, walls and fenced in Resorts, locals are locked out of there own country.
I've forsaken jamaica. I changed the white mans name off me. I tell people back in jamaica, start learning manderin and prepare to bow and serve thier new chinese masters.

Thank you Buju. It's not just Jamaica that's on sale. The entire African continent is on sale to the new masters. Our countries fail to capacitate their citizens with skills and opt to be open for non beneficial unilateral political economic agreements. I.e if u enter into a trade agreement with China, what are u likely to get from them than being flooded with by their dumped goods, their companies which comes with their uneducated workforce. There's nothing we can actually export to their shores. So I do concur with this song. U've written it with a very deep pain down your heart. Politicians take citizenry for granted after being put into the office/s. That need to change. Citizens need to converge and speak in unison against all these modern atrocities we are being subjected to by our own people. Politicians creates a partisan mentality by making us loyal to their doctrines so that we can't say no even when we are supposed to.
Here in Africa we still can't take crucial decisions that can change the face of the continent. We still romanticize with our colonial pasts. I.e I can't veto with Anglo when I'm a Francophone. All these negativities still needs to be eradicated.
Here in SA, former president "Thabo Mbeki" was removed by his own combrates for pushing a pure African agenda aimed at capacitating and enhancing Africans.
So the issues you highlighted on this ensemble are so relevant to the decaying moral fibre our leaders have.

@@LamFidel It's very true what u've commented on. I.e In Brazil and other countries along the Amazon forest (lungs of the earth). It's alleged that they enabled continual deforestation of that forest on daily. The deforestation done on daily basis is in the magnitude of 3 football pitches. All this done under the name of modern civilisation and investments by these multinationals and big cooperations. That's being selfish of them. They are only pursuing a financial gains agenda at the expense of universal life.
As a result of such a huge amount of deforestation, it envisaged that in few years to come, Amazon "lungs of the earth" will become a Savannah. The question now, when will we get oxygen, how is the entire ecosystem going to complement each other.
I'm so worried that the universe is being degraded all under the name of modernisation. The corporations in cahoots with the political arena are working very hard for the extinction of life.
The Aborigines of that forest are being forcefully evacuated to the cites. They change their lives and then deprives them of the opportunities when they are in the cites. They rather objectify them.and make them a tourism showpiece . That's a degradation and relegation from your former self into nothingness.
Same is happening in India. They evacuated Aborigines (Janwara tribe), a black tribe that had been in occupation of that island from the inception of life. They did that in order to pursue a pure economic agenda. That's selfish and criminal of the Indian government.

Deep message that brings tears to my eyes. That's exactly what's happening here in Cameroon. The country is being sold out by the ruling minority while the majority of the people live in total misery.
