........”buried alive but I’m still breathing”....wow ....love it! Going to hear that again!

This man always makes me proud to be Jamaican. He's the Bob Marley of our generation... a true legend
Mellowing with age. Up, up Buju. Makes me feel you're surpassing Bob's level. May God guide & protect you brother. What a Jamaican treasure!
I’m so glad you said that. I was getting a Bob Marley vibe but I didn’t know if it was appropriate to say that. I only know Buju from the grimier hits. This is mellow and a refreshing surprise for me!
Big ups, salute and love to the Bobcat Marley, may he rise in power. ✊🏾⚡️ And much love and respect to Sir Buju🙏🏾💌
Real talk man
Yeah, I certainly don't mean to diminish Bob's legacy but I personally feel like Buju has surpassed Bob Marley. Truth be told I personally think he is greater than Bob. For one, he's a betterr in interviews, and so eloquent. He can speak for the whole world to understand. And he is fighting to keep Marley inspired reggae music alive and relevant.
Buju is in a different level of consciousness now . If you agree hit the like button
Good for him and I wish him luck, but his music has gone shite.
Agreed! 100 !!
@@user-kq2we1ex3h see this is where you are wrong and right. I think it's wrong calling for their death, but he does not have to support LGBT people and their lifestyles. Why should he become an advocate for something he does not support? One must be allowed to have their opinions and not be crucified for this. Having said that, I don't believe that people's rights should be limited because of what they choose to do/be (unless it's breaking the law of course😏). I do believe in mutual respect and appreciation for all people irregardless of who or what you are and that is something he should really teach.
@@user-kq2we1ex3h I believe he did apologize for that song and removed it from his catalog. I'm not 100% sure though but I think he did acknowledge the wrong and apologize.
Oh please, he wrote the song when he was 15 years old. Get over it.
The man Buju Banton, buried alive for 10 years and still breathing. Came back with powerful truths and inspiration through his music. True legend!! Bless up!!

felt this big up 💯
Buju Banton is one of those rare, at least nowadays, artists whose live performances are better than the studio ones! The recorded version of this song is amazing, but this...!!! I don't have the words to articulate what he makes me feel!!!
HELP MY!!! My muscles are too big! I am a big tall man and my muscles are even BIGGER! I use them to get views but they HURT so much!!! Because they are heavy. Do you have any advice, dear fue
Experience 😉
Just looking at the Gargamel live then his voice, ooooooh 🔥🔥
@@user-kq2we1ex3h What you want from Buju ? Blood? Just leave him now, let him live and go find an artist you can support.
@@user-kq2we1ex3h I'm so sorry his words have hurt you and so many in the LGBTQ society. Buju Banton seems to be sorry, too, which I guess is part of the message of redemption, the message of being buried alive but still breathing. Except for Jesus, every one of my heroes is flawed. Yet each one has done at least one great thing. Their imperfect stories give me hope that one day perhaps I'll do something great in spite of my own sins and flaws. In the meantime I'll repent when I'm led to do so, I'll forgive as well, and I'll pray that there is a place in the hearts of people I've hurt for their forgiveness. I can understand why you choose not to forgive, and I hope one day you'll reconsider. I also wish you peace regardless!
This was a wonderful and powerful performance by our Great Buju! He is such a pioneer for good reggae music. One love 🇯🇲
Buju is back, my heart is full.
“Buju always delivers. What can I say about this man? “ He is simply the best! Keep going bro, loft your voices, and head up.💪🙏🏽❤️
This song has uplifted my heart, "I survived the worst of times" ✊🏿✊🏿
Yes, Trevor. Yes. Truly a legend, conscious music
I love this song. They can't keep a good man down. Buju God knows what He was doing when they buried you a alive and God had you still breathing. Only few people will understand the true meaning of this song. ...
This was my first exposure to Buju Banton. He's very charismatic - I get how he sold out that venue only Marley sold out before.
He’s great. I’ve been a fan since 94. You will find many more songs of his to like!
I was at a John Legend concert about 11 years ago. India Arie performed, and then came Buju, this tall dark skin dude on stage. He moved so eloquently. It’s a bit spiritual how he does this. The crowd at the Garden went nuts.
Never heard of him before .
get his album 'Til Shiloh' and have a listen.... his music was pure greatness from way back then til now and will be for years to come
If you want a better understanding of his music you can start with his album 'voices of Jamaica' then listen to 'til Shiloh' to see where the transition was made
🇯🇲❤💚💛 absolutely amazing. What a journey. From Sting days to now, I am beyond proud of where Buju is today and what he represents. Light it up Mr. Myrie....dem a listen! Jah know..Jamaica to di world #wilikklebutwitallawah
This performance really touched my soul his voice is so amazing... lord knows I’m buried alive ❤️❤️❤️ but my hearts still beating thank you lord
He is truly free he do not need title the most high has truly bring him back he truly raise
Reggae music is the music for the downtrodden. It's not just a feelgood thing, it's revolutionary, it's inspirational, insightful and it's threatening to the oppressors.
This man has been reborn from the 🔥. May everyone be this blessed.
I feel his passion in this song! Brings tears to my eyes I loveeeee this song ! Buju in full force! Absolutely love him💕💕💕💕💕
Soo amazing the live is just as the recording. The comeback is always stronger. Buju I give you millions of likes for this boss song. Blessings 🙏

Years ago, I saw Buju performing live. He had a broken leg - I think from a car accident, and was casted up in a wheel chair and he STILL performed like nothing was the matter. Hemoved on stage in that chair like it was nothing. He's been through so much and is still here. He is by far one of the greatest artists our there. Welcome back Buju 🙌.
Today I cried, 10 years in prison his spirit is still high. That living legend his spirit is still alive and well
This is that soul cleansing, level rising music.
We have missed you Gargamel‼️
Buju Banton A Servant of Our music as he clearly says. Love you Buju you are amazing
I've never heard of him.

I have not heard of this man before and this is not my style of music but goddamn that was amazing. Thank you for exposing me to this.

Buju Banton has an Indomitable spirit!
I recall my first time beholding him on stage, it was at Steeplechase Park in Brooklyn, the year was 1994 & oh what a performance it was!
Exhilarating is an understatement!
That day N.Y.& the world also saw & was introduced to Garnett Silk.
Buju was born to create a Shift in the Paradigm of our consciousness, where we are catapulted as the true catalyst of change, to be brought closer to the mighty man who brings eternal peace, God. To hear Buju is to know Mark Myrie, to know Mr. Myrie is to understand his plight & fight as the man who will never be broken by the struggles, yet he redefines & is Redeemed through this cycle of earth & the many passages leading to the passageway of divine greatness, he's a musical Enoch, Moses, & Abraham wrapped in another shell of flesh!
I was there around 50k people at that show. Never forget.
Him and Capleton and di place gun salute and people start running, bless up uself.
Shysta30 The first show was in Biltmore Ballroom. Police brought dogs to control the crowd, More than half the people couldn’t get in. People came from Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania...all over. We have been supporting the DJ from day one.

I only got to know about Buju Banton in 1992 and i immediately fell in love with his spiritual consciousness and love music compositions. This man was made to make music. God bless you Gargamel!
Greetings from Lusaka, Zambia

Wow! Technology 2020 - Buju able to perform in the US without actually being there 😄😍
😂
The people that disliked this vidéo dont know good music
For sure
Not everyone has the same taste in music
Still I see no thumbs down. BUJU is the best
He has music that is very offensive toward the LGBTQ community that he has never apologized for. Not everyone may be aware, but until he addresses those songs, I cannot like or support him. That may be why he has thumbs down.
@@amynotley8929 then why are you watching a video where he's the vocal point and comment surfing on top of it? I really don't get that.
1. Lots of gay people actually like the bum bye bye song.
2. He may never apologise because it doesn't align with his belief.
Just like how you want to stand in your truth and oppose him, he can stand in his truth as well.
What we are witnessing here is the mighty hand of Yah (Jah) Most High. My people are a strong people. We have been downtrodden some 500 years and yet the world cannot help but be moved by the mighty spirit that flows through us. Buju was target from his early days in the music. Some demons were out to get him from then and so they thought they would bury him alive, but the fools buried a living seed and must now face a giant tree with abundant fruit. Yah is Mighty! Blessed love, my people!
Buju you really stole my heart with thing song. The moment I heard it I cried like a baby. You came with avengence. We need more of this time. We are enduring al much at the moment. God is definitely the answer. Clinging on to him more the ever. I'm so grateful he is still guiding our steps. Thank you Buji for using your platform for something that is so needed at this moment. May you continue dropping these type of lyrics. This pierced into my heart. I can't get enough of this song. ❤❤🙏🙏
saw him in concert live. the energy was amazing. one of my best nights
I had the reggae and international music sections in a music store, once upon a time! This is GREAT!
Those were the days, record stores. We had the "Sounds of Market" and the "Sounds of Germantown" here in Philly. Miss them, you can walk in and hum a few notes across any genre and somebody could always find what you were looking for. Had to be great in the Caribbean and World music section. You on to afrobeat?
Buju is Champion. Very wise man on reggae artist history. Maximum Respect. 💚💛❤️
Voice of Jamaica is 100% back. When he came out of prison, his voice is 70% Buju. Now this is BUJU BANTON performing and dancing like a Champion as he normally does. It was "not an easy road" for BUJU but the narrow road is now wide and open for him (CHAMPION) to ARISE again. They made him to be more famous again, not only in Jamaica but whole wide world. BUJU MY MAN.! Fan from Nigeria. I praise jah you are still alive. Much love Jamaica
It’s like the hair on the back of my neck was swaying with the music. I needed this right now, I think a lot of us do.
Get the album, has some hidden gems. I like “Lovely State of Mind” from the album and “Good Time Girl”. His has a song with a John Legend and Pharrell Williams. All good tracks with different flavor. Check it out Upside Down 2020

Buju, you have matured and mellowed spiritually and you are so much more potent. May Almighty God continue to shield, protect and bless you as you speak to our people and encourage them to evaluate themselves and their interactions with others and with our Heavenly Father.
