I first heard this song at my first church youth camp. Our guest speaker was talking about leaving our sins behind (or with God for the Christians) He then took us all down to the beach, told us to pick a stone/rock to represent our sins and throw our stone into the ocean - an example of us throwing away our sins, forgetting them and being clean for our Lord. This song was our theme song for that week

Years ago when I was being baptised in a tank at the church. I know it only took a moment when the pastor ducked me under the water and back up. My experience was I was being pushed thousands of feet down to the ocean floor, I could feel my back bounce on the sand down there. It sounds weird but in spiritual time, anything is possible. This song that would come out many years later is very special to me as it speaks of my sins now lay on the bottom of the ocean floor. Powerful song.

When I was a little girl my grandmother had a shell just like the big seashell in this video. I used to pick it up to heart the ocean in a superb of Buffalo New York. I was so fortunate to come to Florida on my senior trip to the beach. Now she has passed and I have moved the seashell to Florida. Great song.

When you feel unwanted, unneeded, unloved, etc. Know that Jesus has His hand on your shoulder, He understands all too well those feelings... Look around, God's own children turn their backs on Him, rejecting Him, making Him second to everything else. They are so busy stuck on themselves that they cannot hear Jesus telling them how much He LOVES and understands what they are going through, His love is a deeper than any love you have ever felt. That hurt that comes with rejection, Jesus know it.
And God did these things to meet us where we are. He is not a God that cannot be approached. He is not a god that stands afar. He does not demand we appease him with offerings or sacrifices. He came to US. He did this so He could sympathize with us. He was tempted in everyway we were yet did not sin. He instead took our sins upon himself and died for our sakes. We cannot repay his gift or even come close. God wants an intimate relationship because he loves all of his children so much.

We must be reading our Bible and pray for help in our Sin. You're not alone. Many times, we must learn to trust in the grace of our Sovereign God, even when we get confused or depressed.
Many Christians in the writings of the OT and NT were just as we are today. Constant changing, indecisive, foolish, and rebellious. We must not think anything new is taking place. It is God that is faithful to us and keeps every promise. Stand firm in our Lord Jesus Christ! He will hold you fast! To God Alone Be the glory! Hebrews 4:12-16

Years ago when I was being baptised in a tank at the church. I know it only took a moment when the pastor ducked me under the water and back up. My experience was I was being pushed thousands of feet down to the ocean floor, I could feel my back bounce on the sand down there. It sounds weird but in spiritual time, anything is possible. This song that would come out many years later is very special to me as it speaks of my sins now lay on the bottom of the ocean floor. Powerful song.

This song 'Ocean Floor' was written by Gianna Jessen, a young woman who, at 7 mos. in the womb, survived a saline abortion! She was adopted, and lives to tell her her life. She has testified before congress, and around the world, that her life mattered and she deserved life!!
Gianna did write and record a song called Ocean Floor, but this isn't it. This is a totally different song.
When I was a little girl my grandmother had a shell just like the big seashell in this video. I used to pick it up to heart the ocean in a superb of Buffalo New York. I was so fortunate to come to Florida on my senior trip to the beach. Now she has passed and I have moved the seashell to Florida. Great song.

When you feel unwanted, unneeded, unloved, etc. Know that Jesus has His hand on your shoulder, He understands all too well those feelings... Look around, God's own children turn their backs on Him, rejecting Him, making Him second to everything else. They are so busy stuck on themselves that they cannot hear Jesus telling them how much He LOVES and understands what they are going through, His love is a deeper than any love you have ever felt. That hurt that comes with rejection, Jesus know it.
And God did these things to meet us where we are. He is not a God that cannot be approached. He is not a god that stands afar. He does not demand we appease him with offerings or sacrifices. He came to US. He did this so He could sympathize with us. He was tempted in everyway we were yet did not sin. He instead took our sins upon himself and died for our sakes. We cannot repay his gift or even come close. God wants an intimate relationship because he loves all of his children so much.

I first heard this song on KLOVE. I just got it on ITunes. I absolutlely love this video...I love how they used sea shells to represent our sins, and that when we come to Christ, He casts those shells into the depths of the deepest ocean.
