Santos Dumont is probably one of my favourite airports in the world. And I've never even been to Brazil before. Gonna have to get out there and deliberately book a Congonhas - Santos Dumont flight just 'cos some day.

Sinceramente não entendo como o rádio altímetro não se confunde com a diferença de terreno, mas acho que percebi isso quando ele sai do terreno que tem os prédios e sobrevoa o mar.
Actually I have some questions: it looks like a cool day as not many on the beach? I assume this was filmed in July - looks like late morning or around midday judging by the shadows and northerly aspect of the sun. Is the Pilot left handed? I notice no wrist watch on the left hand. And here is the real question: how do right handed pilots cope with using the "joy stick" with their left hand? I guess it is like left handed persons using a mouse with their right hand. But watching the pilot move the joy stick with large movements indicates that he is using his sense of balance to guide the aircraft. I wouldn't trust my right hand to do that if the position were reversed. I assume that in fact he is using other instrument/visual aids to keep the aircraft on the correct line down the runway. Its Rio de Janeiro, never gets cold Lol in aircraft with yoke instead sidestick the person seated on the left still have to fly the aircraft with the left hand and mange throttle with right hand, with a little time you get used to
Andrew B Watch 737 captains fly with a yoke. Left hand on yoke, Right hand on THROTTLES to control speed! None of this "Left hand sitting idle, Right hand on yoke and "The force" controlling the throttles like a jedi telekenesis" stuff.
Charles Marrouche Maybe they can sit on each others lap and use the force instead of their hands on the thrust levers, MCP, Overhead, Radio tuning, MCDU, CDU, light switches, door lock, flap handle, gear lever etc. The "off" hand is quite happy sitting, grasping 1 object and moving that 1 object around. It's the hand that runs "everything else" that needs the co-ordination.

Fcom recomended to set trust to idle below 20 feet. In movie we had seen signal master caution.
vpDimon Search "santos dumont airport - RJ" and you will understand why he backs the thrust levers before 20ft.
Esdras Souza never forget, that only captains should land these planes on Santos Dumont, the first officer are not allowed doing it.
