I use gradients all the time but never thought to use them as a filter, I know they are but you never think on them that way. Thanks Colin
glad to stimulate ideas
Never thought about combining Masks.... Thanks for the interesting lesson.
Glad to help
I really like the masks!
I love LR masks
Thought I knew about masking subjects, but didn't catch the people options. Thanks!
Glad to help
Not got my head around the masks in ACR yet so this is so useful. Thank you
My new favorite tool both in Ps and LrC
Thanks Colin, this was great. You also know a lot about hair which is cool. 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for this. I’m going to try it right now. Not for color, but to fade in a blurred background.
Excellent tutorial. Thanks!! I didn't realize you could do this type of mask overlapping in Lightroom.
thank you , I have not tried before but will do that now
Your'e welcome
Terrific tutorial Colin. Thank you.
Hi Colin haven't used it before I definitely see some potential
I didn't know this thanks for this tutorial, I will try it out
Thanks Colin, always fun to learn!
Wow!! Great, great tututorial !!!!
Thanks mate, as an Aussie I can detect a wee bit of kiwi in there. Nice work. I hope when LRC does next up grade masking out clothing to change colour would be included. Nice work. Thank you again
Really nice tutorial, Colin. Thank you!
thanks
Well explained. Thanks. Very helpful.
Thanks for a great video. Love the new masking tools in LR.
Very creative and fun way to use a variety of the masking tools. Thanks Colin. I'll now be able to drive my Granddaughter crazy by constantly giving her 'mermaid' locks Next challenge will be to turn my dog into a Neapolitan chunk of ice cream 🙂
I have not changed hair yet. Will be trying this.
Great lesson!
thanks
Nice!
Thanks for the video!
Very nice tutorial. Thanks
Brilliant! Thank you!!
Thanks
Thanks!
First !!! Great Tut!!!!!
Thx
Thank you
Excellent !
Colin, has the new PS update 24.1.1 fixed the "delete and fill" issue using the lasso tool? Version 24.1.0 removed that function which was a real pain in the arse and nobody actually addressed it.
Not something I have tried yet. My question is if changing the hair color would you also change the color of the eyebrows except with the bubblegum-colored hair? Nce video.
No, you can select the eyebrows on another ai mask if you want to change those. The selection isn't based on color, its ai.
❤👍👍 excellent
I still haven't wrapped my brain around the idea that adjustments like this can now be made in LR or RAW. I always default automatically to PS! This is a great tutorial, thanks for the reminder.
Glad to help
I just updated to 12.1 but I'm mot seeing the "People" or tools after you select ?
Sorry, posted too soon, found it.
Is Lightroom the same what CameraRaw is?
The develop module in LR is camera raw
Great tutorial. I work with models and they're always asking me would I change their hair color for them.
Now you have 1 more way to do it
👍
Excellent explanation of color manipulation, but ACR and Lightroom masks are inaccurate for quality work.
They will get better
Interesting, but I got a little lost. It's hard to follow where you are when you use pronouns. I have been wondering if something like this is possible with textures.
You got lost because he used pronouns? Oh dear god. Seriously? Get over yourself.
I don’t understand the first part of the comment? Can you explain? Yes, it works for textures or anything really.
@@photoshopcafe If you mean the part were I got a little lost, that was due to my watching this on my phone which has a much smaller screen and it is hard to see where your cursor is. It you would say, for instance, something like "the mask" instead of "it" I could better infer where to look.
@@WanderFeetChronicles Sorry to have offended you, but I have a valid point.
@@suechoate5414 Thanks for the clarification, good suggestion!
