I'm currently in the same situation in Hungary. Mother is Hungarian and I'm Indian national. After the baby born she took away my son. Now I have filed court case for to finilise child visitation and child support other ancillary dispute with the girl. She is forbidden to visit my son since 1 month.
In Hungary living relationship cannot claim ailmony. Only married woman depending on who's fault was break up happened.
In this way, I will also become a judge by passing remarks on several people of society. Although I will be missing some technical formalities then. I swear Indian Judiciary is evolving, just backwards.

Gf is very amorphous term. By very liberal interpretation, a lady will live for month with someone and then claim maintenance; and as there is no concept of adultery or remarriage in dv act - a complete anamoly with someone abusing the law in completely legal way by entering relationship every month at choice. Even if this is in nature of marriage, it is still prone to abuse of digging gold.
If we accept the loose interpretation, even rea chakraborty is entitled to Maintainence from SSR property; in rajesh khanna case, this again was issue.
There are qualifying words in phrase itself - in the nature of marriage, which is more then mere intimacy, else these words were not necessary.
Most of women who enter such relationship are working, educated, thus why they need Maintainence, that too, when in recent LGBT case before Apex court, it was highlighted, why marriage was necessary to claim certain rights, else why was the fight, they were already sharing food, shelter and intimacy. There is no right of inheritance, no divorce-thus living or leaving at will. In effect, it should be treated like pure partnership in convenience, nothing else. It cannot be ruled out, that they were living together to share, save cost of living separately, that too, when they were earning.
Have more than 1 citizenship. Argentina offers it in 2 years. Or simply flee to Nepal when shit kicks in.

In mentioned 2 cases court has said its not a marriage like relationship, its a relationship of convenience or just a physical relationship.

How can she be "made a wife" if there is no legal marriage certificate? By that logic all women in India can be your mistress. Live in doesn't qualify as partner or marriage. Public can't work as witness. Marriage needs to be validated in courts by mutual agreement.

Look at the effects: the only way out is to have an arranged marriage where your family is richer than the girl (so she prefers staying with you rather than leaving), but you live separately from the parents (so that your family property is not lost in case of divorce), whom your family has selected for being sweet and docile (any hint of unstable behaviour, divorce or mental illness in her family or anyone who is 'strong and independent' is filtered out). Live-in relationships are out. The only way to ascertain the girls' antecedents is from close friends and relatives who have known her since childhood - goodbye intercaste marriages. Only get married when you are ready to have a baby immediately, so that there's an added incentive for her to stay and any maintenance in case of a divorce would go primarily towards your own child. This also reduces her chances of running away because let's face it, nobody wants to bear the expenses of someone else's child and she would lose maintenance from you if she did. As for divorce/maintenance, if she's coming with a dowry, then it is in everyone's best interests to make things work because if anyone is unhappy, then it's a lose-lose for everyone. The whole thing is beautifully orchestrated.

I am in middle of divorce, few months after my marriage I found out my wife lied about her education in matrimonial profile
She said MBA in her profile but she didnt have any certificate or degree .. also she failed 12th 2-3 times ..
I also found that she has made fake 12th certificate from MP Board & UP Board for same year 2013, while her 10th was done in 2008, Also she had business debts that she didnt tell me before marraige and after marriage she wanted me to sell the jewellery, I didnt agree.
