this aged really well. the french couldnt handle the physicality of the south africans, as usual. Some players looked scared to tackle or run against the boks. At this level they cant be scared, specially against the boks. They will hurt you good, as they did. The Etzebeth try is a good example. Three guys could not tackle him. Loved how the crowd was silenced.

Outside South Africa I think Kenya has the potential in terms of natural talent and athleticism to become good rugby playing nation . This French team was a whole new beast to the one we faced in the opening pool game, and I’m glad it wasn’t us facing them in quarter-finals. @@1991Mrcricketit's not a random draw, it's very much planned. Google it and there is a lot of info on it with people talking about why the draw is unfair. Draw was based on rankings 3 years ago because they wanted to be able to sell tickets early before people started buying tickets for things like the Olympics etc coming up next year. So basically the rankings in 2020 are not current. The draw would have been much different (and more balanced) if they had left it until late 2022.

The last two games with Ireland and the All Blacks, France and SA have been the most intense brutal battles I've ever seen in my life, such great games of rugby to watch. From a neutral it's been sublime to watch, these breaks have made the game better imo. The precision from the great teams have been jaw dropping at times, long may this continue
The French made a major mistake playing their most talismanic and key player in a game they were never going to lose (Namibia 96-nil). There is no way his cheek fracture had healed by the time he played the Boks and even a modest impact on his game would affect the outcome in a contest as close as this. It was poor man management by Fabien Galthie.

This French team was a whole new beast to the one we faced in the opening pool game, and I’m glad it wasn’t us facing them in quarter-finals. This match elevated Rugby as a sport. As fans, we will never be satisfied with waiting 4 years for Rugby of this level again. The bloodlust is real 😂. I felt alive during that match! It was exhilarating.
As a South African rugby fan my entire life, I went into this game not expecting us to win. But the Springboks are so much greater than their individual parts. And we play our best when our country needs us to. This was a magnificent game and both teams played their heart out. France was exceptional and it could have gone either way. That's the truth of it. The final we all deserved. It's a beautiful game. I'm overjoyed for my country. We needed this and have very little else at the moment. But France played beautifully too and deserve much praise.

Draw was based on rankings 3 years ago because they wanted to be able to sell tickets early before people started buying tickets for things like the Olympics etc coming up next year. So basically the rankings in 2020 are not current. The draw would have been much different (and more balanced) if they had left it until late 2022.

From a neutral it's been sublime to watch, these breaks have made the game better imo. The precision from the great teams have been jaw dropping at times, long may this continue
The French made a major mistake playing their most talismanic and key player in a game they were never going to lose (Namibia 96-nil). There is no way his cheek fracture had healed by the time he played the Boks and even a modest impact on his game would affect the outcome in a contest as close as this.
