Dio is a vampire, so he should've been immortal, but when your stand dies, the user dies as well. So the reason Dio died was because of his stand, which he declared to be his power.

For one. DIO wasn't dead. And the characters knew as much.
Secondly, vampires can be made unconcious by destroying vital parts of their biology. Unless until it is reformed. That is what happened.
It happened before in Part 1 and even with Straizo.
Straizo's body was completely destroyed and he was unable to act until he reformed himself.

With The World utterly destroyed, DIO’s life energy and soul was completely destroyed.
And if that’s not enough for you, the head (where locates the brain, a vampires weakness other than rays of the sun and Hamon) was completely obliterated.
For all intensive purposes, DIO had fully died (They even narrate to us that DIO has died). All they had to left is disintegrate the body when the Sun comes up.

No, the Stand is a immortal as the person using it. Meaning that once DIO has reformed so will The World.
I don't think that's how it works. The World is technically Dio's spirit, so when destroyed, he would succumb as well, regardless of how immortal his body is.

I was once told of a case where the person remained in a state of clinical death for 2 whole hours and was revived. Very low air temperature contributes to that apparently.

An interesting detail… In the last ending you can actually know who dies at the end of part 3 “Last Train home”, the clues are that Joseph only has 3 tickets in his hand when they are on the train and there’s a scene with a water canal and you can see Abdul, Iggy and Kakyoin on the other side 🥲 they crossed the river to the world of the dead 💔

@@BriThi oh you're gonna love DIU, Diamond is Unbreakable... easily the best animated part.... In my opinion
So like, Stands are in a way your soul and etc. Already by itself, Stands users die when the Stand gets fucked up, but The World literally broke down in a bazillion pieces, and so did his soul/whatever.
On another note, the whole Dio and Jotaro fight mostly took place in time stop, and irl, in very specific cases, people can live quite a long time without blood.

A majority of the fight between Dio and Jotaro involved spamming time stop which means that not a lot time was wasted after Dio turned Joseph into a raisin

Considering people have been brought back to life with worse time, and that the blood that was transfused was vampiric and/or hamon blood, I'd say it's not too far outside the realm of possibility that Joseph could be brought back.

Looking forward to your reaction to Part 4, one of my favorite parts. It might feel kind of underwhelming at first compared to the craziness we've just seen in Egypt, but the further you get into it the more it would feel really well woven together.
