- The Lionel 1991 Video Catalog. This video shows many of Lionel's train items that were offered that year. This video was produced by Tom McComas, James Tuohy, and former Lionel Trains Inc owner Richard Kughn. Together briefly forming TMK Books & Video, the team produced this video, as well as the first Toy Train Revue video magazine before McComas and Touhy went their separate ways in film and video production.
This video catalog is one of only two video catalogs for Lionel Trains by TM.
Much of the footage shot for this video was reused for a video in 1993 by Tom McComas for his son Jeffrey, who was very energetic and would only sit down whenever his father edited train videos. Realizing this, Tom produced a video for Jeff that featured toy trains, real trains, animals, and other things Jeff liked. Charyl McComas, Jeff's mother and Tom's Wife suggested to Tom that if Jeff liked it, other kids might and the popular show "I Love Toy Trains" was created. 30 years later, the show continues to thrill children and adults who love trains and introduced many people to the amazing hobby of toy trains.
Today, TM is still going on strong producing toy train videos and also operate the "I Love Toy Trains" store at their HQ in Michigan City, Indiana.
Because this was a video catalog for products made in 1991, this video has been out of print and is difficult to find. Because of its rarity, we at Worden Entertainment uploaded it for historic, entertainment, and preservation purposes only. If TM or Lionel wishes for this video to be taken down, we at Worden Entertainment greatly understand as this is their copyrighted property. All rights of this video belong to TM Books and Video @tmbooks and Lionel Trains LLC @LionelModelTrains

One of the Lionel videos I used to have.
15:50 I love how the lights from the suspension bridge reflect from the shiny crone surface of the Santa Fe F3 and its matching passenger cars.
Pretty cool this was made the year I was born.
I wish we could get a full-length clear audio of Fred Holstein's background guitar music without anyone talking over it. I find it very relaxing.
There is an edited video that I helped put together. This is the closest anyone will get of Holstein's song. ruclips.net/video/W5q-EL19S-Y/видео.htmlsi=J0c19kqMv8DoRQ1P
Have you tried using AI vocal remover? It can work
Much better restoration Nikolas.
Is it sad that this catalog is more exciting and varied than the present Lionel catalog?
Not to me. I think Lionel is making a huge variety of great products today. Especially compared to 1991 and 92.

I would respectfully disagree. The present selection of Lionel leaves a lot to be desired, at least in my opinion.
Just not that nuts about all the movie and tv stuff, and what isn't going for $1000+ a pop that's actually new has been lifted from MTH.
90's Large Scale trumps today's HO & Ready to Play in my book, and there was more in the way of operating accessories then vs now brand new.
One of the coolest things about these catalog videos is that some of the trains featured are actually prototypes or mock-ups. Some of these items didnt make it into production, like the UP fire car.
Right on! In fact Tom McComas nearly destroyed the Santa Fe Super Chief set. He was filming it next to a stairway and didn't realize after the shot that the prototype was about to fall off. Luckily he was able to stop it in time.
Lionel should put the products that didn't make it into their future product lines.
Gotta get outta here😮
Oh boy! I think this video should go be great enough to be a DVD Bonus Feature of the Original 1991 Toy Train Revue 2 in TM's next edition. Don't you think? 😉
Oh yeah.
Didn't you already upload this?
Yes, but my laptop made some notifications that disrupted the first upload. I try to record these as best as possible.
@@wordenentertainment1997 ah I see what you mean by the way how do you convert your videos to DVDs and then how do you upload them digitally to your computer
@@TheTexasTrainMaster I actually recorded right off the VCR.
@@wordenentertainment1997 onto your computer?
@@TheTexasTrainMaster Here's how I did it. Not my video btw.

Think you’ll get anything from here Nikolas?
If I could, everything. I do have the flip billboard, but a wire got disconnected so it doesn't work at this time. Eventually I'll wire it back and get it working again.
