The Jimny is so fun to drive and own. I know the new/used prices look high, because of demand, but I can still tell you that even paying over the RRP it’s great value if you can appreciate a characterful car like this. There are far worse cars you can spend that kind of money on 🙂
@@cannygrowabeard and the prices will rise in future, since they are not allowed to build them anymore due to emissions etc... and since in 8 years time there will no patrol car anymore build all the desirable cars will keep climbing
@@pnsp33 thanks, and also that they have sold it as a two seat commercial vehicle to get round that in some ways. Had Suzuki tried a bit harder to fully electrify their other cars this could have been their ICE money-making 'treat'. In a similar way to how the Taycan will prolog the 911 (don't @ me about synthetic fuels)
I concur: I'm a big fan of detail lettering and full on whitewalls... The only thing that could have improved these improvements would have been to have some small and subtle silver or grey pinstriping on the bonnet and tailgate. Maybe not to Chops's taste, though!
Thanks so much for entrusting us to work on your Jimny Jonny. It was a real pleasure detailing it for you! The results speak for themselves. We love the wheels and tyres too! So glad the cars protected throughout for the winter months now. We should do a recap video when it’s dirty again to show how easy it is to clean up with all the coatings on it? 😁👌
@@TheLateBrakeShow New rims certainly an improvement on the factory set, rustproofing the underside and chassis box sections I would say on the new Jimny is very important, looked underneath mine a few weeks ago and was horrified, rust everywhere, even inside the chassis, doesn't appear to be any cavity wax applied at the factory and quite a few areas just have primer on, no body colour topcoat, very poor if you ask me!!
As long time fans of your content we were excited to get involved in this project, it was a long 16-hour detail but the before and after transformation makes it all worthwhile, we love the look on the new wheels. We look forward to following the progress, we should do a re-cap video to show how the coatings work when it comes to repelling road grime, salt and mud.
That looks hench now!!! The wheels, the white lettering, all those roof bits and the thorough detailing job, all contribute to a stunning little car. Well done Jonny and Nuovo Detailing!!!
Great video, and selection of products on the Jimny. Listening to the plastic wipe chat with that lad did make me think I was listening in on a conversation at a make-up counter....
Am I the only one who cant stand the term “detailing”… we’re not American 😆 There is cleaning, there is polishing… where did they get “detailing” from?
I'm impressed how, on two occasions, the process of bringing the car inside was highlighted as if we 1, couldn't see that for ourselves, 2, think that it should attract some kind of adulation for the skill and judgement required.
I took the plunge in the spring and decided to machine polish and ceramic coat my car. I used the carbon collective pro ceramic range in this vid and I have to say even for non professional, these products are a dream. Comes with plenty of cloths to apply the coating, sturdy bottles and easy to follow instructions on the packaging. I’d also recommend their hybrid shampoo as it helps to protect the coating and improves the already crazy beading/sheeting. Great stuff, really well portrayed in this vid 👍
Ever since I so the new Jimmy model. I fell for it instantly. This is my dream car. I love the detail you put into the car. The original Tyres I appreciate but I love the new set of Tyres you installed. Great Job! You pushed me one step closer to making sure I achieve my goal of owning a Suzuki Jimmy one day! Thank You.
Massive fan of The Late Brake Show, and also love Carbon Collective products. So easy to use and have been using them for years! Keep up the great content Jonny, the wheels look so much better than the standard ones! Looking forward to the next project Jimny update
Absolutely loved this, just what I needed. Such depth and care, great background on the products too. So, so interesting every episode. Top man, top job.
Best thing I’ve ever done to protect my car. I’ve had three cars ceramic coated now. I also protected the underside of my current car with Lanoguard… peace of mind that it should look as fresh in years to come, as the day I took delivery. Highly recommended and great video!
I’m a little (ok, a lot) obsessed with cleaning/detailing and looking after my cars, and it takes me yonks to give them their regular clean, nevermind when it comes to their quarterly decontamination, polish and wax… Yet here I am, watching this, wanting to do more, go even further. I think I have a problem. Would love the money (and time and space) to be able to do such a detailed job. Another great video Jonny, as always. Love the diversity of content ❤️
If anyone finds themselves thinking about buying a new car, the best thing you can do is go have the shit detailed out of your old car first, and give it some fresh tires (or even just make sure they’re properly inflated lol)! If you don’t fall in love with it again (you probably will), it’ll look ace AF for the next owner and bring a good resale value. A few hundred (okay thousand if you go nuts with ceramic coating your wheels lol), is always a great investment - especially if it saves you thousands by not buying a new one!!
I did white highlight lettering on my first car ... When my dad looked at it he asked why I had painted "remould" .. I should have taken more notice of what I was painting lol .. I think your white lettering looks cool on the Jimny ..
And this is one of the interesting things about this channel. I wouldn’t normally go for those wheels with white lettering. And yet - making a slightly less popularised choice as you have makes so much sense! It really does look like a toy car and I love that!
