I tried getting this trophy with my brothers help. We must have played for over an hour and only got past 9000 pts twice. I started feeling bad for taking up his time and said I'd do it myself. Took me another hour but I finally got it. What a stupid trophy.
Tip: In the first wave, go right up to the doorway from where they first start coming out and while moving from left to right around that area, shoot your blaster till you finish the wave. Your blaster won't heat up for the blast and this process would normally get you to a good start with over 1000 points. My highest was 1700 from just that first wave, so it works! Good Luck!
Yep do this, THE SPIDER ROBOTS CANT HURT YOU, that was huge when I figured that out, Try to keep your blaster 3/4th before the next wave starts, shoot bombs first, it might seem impossible for you but if you make it to the tank rounds you only need to survive 1-2 of them and you will hit 10K points. it's very RNG with power up drops in the later rounds, a couple good ones and it's easy at that point.
For anyone struggling. Wave 1 stand at the top and wiggle left right while holding up and permanently fire. You should get at least 1000. If you don’t get 1000 restart. Until wave 5 you should stand at either entrance and do the level 1 strat. From level 5 onwards your main plan is to shoot the bombs to get big combos and to save civilians. From 10 onwards you are simply playing to survive. If you did everything right, surviving a few waves will get you to 10000.
I just got the trophy and found a new interesting way to earn easy points. Right when the game starts, make your way into the first opening and melee every robot before they leave (catching civilians in the process) This will easily earn you 1000 points in an instant. Meleeing helps a lot when dealing with the short harmless bots and kill combos. You can also use this on blaster bots too, but it can be risky at times, especially with bombs around. Still, it helped me out a lot.
I finally got this trophy... I screamed and almost passed out because I was so damn happy... I almost woke up my family too since it was 3:30 in the morning... xD
I platinumed all the games in the franchise that don't have an online trophy and this is without a doubt the hardest trophy to get, I tried the day before for about three hours straight but I could barely get 8000 points, but today 10/12/2024 I finally did it. and the tips here in the comments helped me a lot. Just don't give up and follow the instructions guys, if I can do it, you can too.
You guys can do it! I have come back to this game at 22 years old in 2022 after 12 years since when I was just 10 in 2010! I gave up then, but easily got it now after 30 mins. Remember: The training is nothing! WILL IS EVERYTHING. Plat is all mine now 🏆

A good tip is that if you feel that you need to take a break, then pause the game and wait it out for a little bit, then get back in the game. It might help.
To anyone still trying to get this trophy. There is a little trick to get points fast at the start. If you stand up againt the lasers and shoot through them before the enemies come out, it will multiply score each enemy you kill. This is really handy up untill the bombs come out (wave 5) as the explosions will kill you.

ok. this trohpey isnt all that hard. i know it might seem that hard but here are some tips. -save as much civilians as u can (they will give you extra lives sometimes) -shoot at the ones that are shooting at you(dont waste your time on those spider looking enemys because they cant hurt you) -always back away and shoot at the bombs -when you have your blue blaster shot, try to line up a bunch of ememies into one shot because it will increase your multiplyer and good luck : )
Thank you for posting this video....I got this trophy today after watching this video! A hint: do it one player as you can score more mutliple points and save more people. This allows you to build up to 10,000 points very quickly.
You have to beat the game and do all the depot missions, theres also a mission similar to a depot mission on a moon in the third sector you unlock. Every single one of the moons/depots have to be grayed out and say completed when you select them on your galactic map.
Another tip for anyone else stuck. Avoid using the blue laser on the tanks as they may bounce off the wall and smack into you, (happened to me several times), unless you know they're about to die.
me and my brother got a great way , i go face the upper gate , my brother the lower gate and keep using the melee attack until wave 5 , when someone dies other runs into him to heal him without losing any life hope that helps people who play 2 players :D
I tried this for 2 hours on hard mode then I lowered the difficulty to causal and beat it just 2 tries after doing so. It seemed to make it much easier but maybe that was just mental because I'm not sure whether or not your difficulty setting has an effect on this minigame.
You have to do a new game to get any of the trophies for completing the game on a certain difficulty level. There is no trophy for completing the game on Hardcore difficulty.
wow, i think this trophy is messed up for me, unless you need to kill the boss. I bot 10010 points and got to the boss and died. Then i did it again and got 11030 points then died on the boss and didnt get the trophy either times, can someone help.
you got three extra lives, the most i've ever got is one. in the end i found the best thing for me was to not let my blaster overheat but keep it in the top portion so that it deals the most damage.
If you're unsure, then change the difficulty to Casual and give it another go. Unless you don't have the trophies for completing it on the different difficulty settings, it won't hurt, and even then, you can back your save game up before hand so you don't screw up your existing file.

Even changing the difficulty to Casual didn't help... Gosh I've done platinums like COD Classic, GTA IV, some Guitar Hero games so I never thought this SOAB of a trophy would be so damn hard, this should have been a GOLD TROPHY, it's the hardest trophy of the game no doubts. It has a lot of luck involved and skill too. My advice is simple and short (sorry): PRACTICE. (Do not break your controller over this, it's not worth it)
I borrowed my retro savvy friend for a co-op game attempt and we got to wave 30 totaling a score of 23,710. The trick is when your partner is down get next to him and shoot him to revive and when your on the boss stay close to each other so you CAN revive. Happy gaming!!
Actually no, I play on hard difficulty to start on most games and this was no exception. I just beat the game and I received the other two trophies for Medium and Easy difficulties. And there is a Trophy for Challenge mode if that's what you mean by 'Hardcore' and you do get the 'Glutton for Punishment' Trophy.
Okay, I just wasn't sure if they were talking about Challenge when they were saying Hardcore. My main point was that they do get the other two trophies for getting done with Hard mode.
I got to 7800+ with not knowing I had a HUGE FRIGGIN LASER to use. That should help a bit. A free life or two, which I didn't know about either...would be nice. :^/
you seem to be getting a lot of extra lives. I think it must have something to do w/ they way u line up the overheat shot in conjunction w/ saving the citizens, cause my hi score is 9200 saving many citizens & got no extra lives during that playthru, most I've ever gotten is 1 extra life & that only drops occasionally
This trophy is harder than all of the other ones combined. Got it with 10900, if I remember correctly. Lost my last life at the boss, I was like: "HOLY F*#¤, IT CAN MOVE?!"
Guys, all this is basically is luck of the draw. I found myself with 10000 at like wave 13, and after that I kept going and made it to wave 21. I got a score of 16800. Once you get it, you'll get it. Just keep going at it, that's what worked for me Also there's an exploit on lvl 1. As soon as it starts run up close to the top entry and fire while moving quark around appropriately. You should be able to rack up an 1000-1500 point combo. That boost could very well be what most of you need
I got the trophy just a few moments ago. My gf had to calm me down because I was screaming and throwing my controller lol. After I got the trophy I felt much better.

I finally got it after like 3 hours. What a horribly designed mini-game. Why are you one shot and they are all bullet sponges? Why do their dead bodies stay on screen and block only your bullets? Why are there only 12 directions you can shoot with an analog stick? Why not let your bullets block incoming projectiles? It wouldn't matter if there wasn't a trophy for it or if the trophy was easier. It's just not a fun mini-game or trophy.
I realized what the problem was haha, it was that everyones PSN was screwing up therefore i didnt get the trophy, but i did later...........except all of my other trophys that i already got for this game got deleted.....did that happen to anyone else?
For anyone trying to do this trophy do 2 player. You don't need someone else to play with you. Took me two attempts to get the trophy, first I got 8k points second attempt I got 11k
@tapion567 Yeah its much easier to get this trophy in 2 player. You can get a massive head start on points tho if you go right up to the gate the first group comes through, shoot at them not allowing them in to the room and you get lots of bonus points =)
Beating the game on hard is really not difficult at all, especially if you played Ratchet & Clank during the good ol PS2 days. I recommend leveling your weapons up to level 5 and not just one or two and rely on those. There is a certain planet (forgot the name) where a shit ton of enemies spawn while theres a weapon/ammo npc nearby aswell. You can grind your weapons on them and its really fast and easy, you will have to die a couple times to make sure you wont progress too far but its worth it
Ridiculous, it doesn't deserve to be a bronze trophy for Ps3, it should be at least silver or gold

I had 9,990 points. My hands were shaky, and bullets perfectly tracked me. I was so mad.
This was the hardest part of the game. I even beat the damn game on hard the first time around...

I noticed that I did get a lot of lives, strange but helpful. You do have to be a bit lucky to beat this anyway.

one tip on how to do it: when the line of the multiplayer is red dont use the blue blaster thingy just keep going then u ca kill enemies easily
