    Well at least hubby will be able to get this new type of lenses when he needs cataract surgery. I had mine done in 2008 when we lived in the Houston area, Dr. Slade and Baker were my doctors back then, wow I was only 54, thank goodness your our doctor. Who knows what they will come up with next, maybe something for me.❤

    Great video. A couple of questions: How many former RK patients have you done and what were the outcomes? What pupil size is a suitable candidate for this procedure?

    Hello Doctor I recently had a distortion of vision, as if water was in my eye only on the left side of my vision. There was a zig zag like pattern at the end of the distortion. Also I closed my eyes i could also see a red and blue single arc ( also when i was trying to read something upclose it was distorted. I laid down and closed my eyes and the episode lasted about 30 minutes. Im going to the VA on Wednesday for my optometrist but im just wondering if this could be a retinal detachment or a PVD?

    How does this affect a patient with amblyopia? What lense should they consider given the condition?

    • @theeyesurgeon2842
      @theeyesurgeon2842  Год назад +3

      These lenses can be implanted in patients with amblyopia but your best vision after surgery may not be 20/20 because of the limitations of the visual pathway in your brain. Other lenses that may be used in amblyopic patients include the standard monofocal lenses and the toric lenses. Personally, I would not implant multifocal lenses in amblyopic patients. Hope this helps!

    I’m going to need a macular pucker procedure following cataract surgery. Will the Light Adjustable lens be OK in his case ?

    Do you bill Medicare for the usual cataract fee and then charge the patient for the upcharge? Do you buy or lease the light delivery device?

    ⭐Doctor, I see small white dots that move randomly on the snow, a white sheet of paper, a blue sky, and even on the white screen of my monitor. I searched all the articles on the internet and found no information on this issue. These points move at different speeds. I see them constantly in the daytime on a bright background. I need your help in solving this problem.

    I was diagnosed with epiretinal membrane. Am a candidate for LAL surgery? The ERM has not progressed since 2016.

    I thought you had to wear special glasses at all times between treatments.

    • @theeyesurgeon2842
      @theeyesurgeon2842  Год назад +3

      You have to wear special sunglasses when outside, but not 24/7. The older version of this lens required 24/7 glasses, but not the most recent version.

    are there longer Term side effects of Silicone lens?

    • @--2455
      @--2455 Год назад

      Retinal detachments come with age, high myopia or trauma. They require silicone injections in the posterior segment. If the two silicone layers come into contact it'a real mess. This is a very simplified reply. Hope more people can add or correct or explain better.

      Compare that with 3300 for a Panoptix. If in your country they ask more for the Panoptix than 3300, expect to pay more than 4300 for lal.
