Whoa! The ambisonics with the fireworks was incredible! I only wish I could feel the explosions reverberate through my chest like the real thing. Then I want to feel the heat and the wind. All of this should be possible with today's technology. Mobile VR/AR/MR is going to be huge!
Yeah, or binaural audio. You basically have a device with 2 ears made out of rubber or something with a microphone in each of it. The way the sound reflects from the different parts of the rubber ear makes your brain think that you actually listen through your ears and not directly with headphones
This video have binaural audio but it only records from one perspective, it uses two microphones. Ambiosonic uses 4 mics to record sound in 360 degrees, there are few ambiosonic vr videos on youtube. Look for : sennheiser ambeo vr microphone

Nice 360 video
10/10 how is this possible? Thankyou for makes good this :D
Fascinating technology!
Amazing!!!!!!
This was probably not the best content to bring home the full effect of true binairal audio. Now an airshow or car race might deliver that impact.
The problem is, you can't record audio in 360.
Oops, you can. It's called Ambisonics.
