Thank you Brien . I take my 93 yr old mom out to the Tides every other week or so. There always playing the movie out there. My Mom wanted to say hi. You are always one of my mom's favorite. She would tell me when you would come on and say I really like him. Lol Best to you, Dave
My husband and I went up to inverness California for our honeymoon. We love that area and just wanted to get away and spend a quiet time together. I picked that spot because it was close to two movie locations. One was Point Reyes Light's house, where The Fog was filmed, and the other was Bodega and Bodega Bay for The Birds. Going to these two locations made me realize the tricks of Hollywood Movie editing. Things are neverxas they seem. Both were absolutely beautiful places. However, my favorite time was spent in Bodega in front of the building that's supposed to be the school. Before going on our honeymoon, I bought 2 fake ravens at a craft store so that I could take pictures of my husband in front of the school. He was great taking pictures pretending he was being attacked. Suddenly, I noticed people around us laughing. One was a father and son of Indian descent. They asked if they could use these fake birds to take pictures, too. We said sure, as long as i can take pictures of them too. Well, I have to say these two gentlemen were so funny, and they took great pics. They were great! We let other people around us borrow them, and they were funny too. Who would have thought that pair of craft birds tgat cost $6.00 would make such a great time and memories. I hope people visit these two locations and the two Bodegas. Finally, when we were at Bodega Bay we had clam chowder at the Tides. It was the best outside of Bew England, and when were at the same place this man was standing at overlooking the water, a seagull landed right next to us and stared at us until we left. It was a little disconcerting 😬😳
I worked on the house right below the school house a few years ago. Was surprised so many people coming by every day to see it. A few people came by the school house and asked me if I would join them running down the hill screaming while they filmed it. I believe the were from Europe. I said sure, so there was about ten of us running down the hill screaming looking over our shoulders. Lol It was nice fixing up the old house that use to be the town store I believe.
A weekend birthday dinner in the 1980's, found me at Drake's School House Inn. Roaring wood stove, pianist playing great music, duck ala orange for dinner. Blackboards on all the walls. I suddenly realized where I was, jumped up, rushed to the window (to see the monkey bars outside) the owner came over and told me they were removed decades ago, the monkey bars! Next thing I know, her husband (the chef -owner) rushes out of the kitchen with a fake seagull attached to his shoulder. Hysterical! The best birthday, the best meal ever! Thanks Hitch.
OMGoodness! It’s been many many …Too many years since I saw The Birds, I think it’s time to rewatch it and introduce it to my youngest daughter who just turned 16 in the middle of January I think it’s going to be in que for this Halloween season with her 😂
Well done Brian! Love the clips and the ode to The Bird's. If anyone is interested, my segments were shot in celebration of the release of the book "Footsteps In The Fog: Alfred Hitchcock's San Francisco," co-authored by Jeff Kraft and Aaron Leventhal.

It also needs to be said that Hitchcock was a sexual deviant and should not be celebrated. "During the six months the actress spent making the 1963 movie - her big break - Hedren suffered constant sexual harassment, intimidation and cruelty at the hands of director Alfred Hitchcock, she writes in her memoir, “Tippi” (William Morrow, out Tuesday). It’s the first time she’s written about the experiences, which inspired the 2012 HBO film “The Girl.”
Great job on this report Brian Hackney
My favorite movie of all time....watch it at least once a year...🐦🐔
Great story, Brian Hackney! Excellent film and local history. Well-edited, too.
I lost count of how many times I've seen The Birds. It remains as fresh and suspenseful as the first time I saw it at age 12. I'm 63 now.
Excellent news piece for an excellent film.

The Birds made bodega bay famous

Oh please. I took a trip there last summer. Of course there is creative license needed when cutting scenes together.

Interesting 🧐
Cool
Crows and ravens are smart. Hope they don’t decide to take us out.
Oh pigeon poo. That wasn't that scary. Just kidding, I was terrified.
Can’t stand H ever since I heard how he abused Tippi!
Jeez, do you have a clue on how to drive that MG?
While it was a classic movie, but it was so unfair for the smart crows.
Is that a crow and a seagull lurking behind you ? 😂😂😂😂😂
OH YOU SHUT UP, PAUL THE TRUMPSTER FREAK AND THAT IS SO NOT FUNNY!!!!!
