ہوئے آقا فرنگیوں کے غلام
شبِ آلام ہو سکی نہ تمام
حکمراں ہو گئے کمینے لوگ
خاک میں مل گئے نگینے لوگ
ہر محبِ وطن ذلیل ہوا
رات کا فاصلہ طویل ہوا
بے حیائی کو جس نے اپنایا
وہی عزتِ مآب کہلایا
آمروں کے جو گیت گاتے رہے
وہی انعام و داد پاتے رہے
رہزنوں نے جو رہزنی کی تھی
رہبروں نے بھی کیا کمی کی تھی
ایک بار اور ہم ہوئے تقسیم
ایک بار اور دل ہوا دو نیم
یہ فسانہ ہے پاسبانوں کا
چاق و چوبند نوجوانوں کا
سرحدوں کی نہ پاسبانی کی
