i saw Elvis around this time, on May 24, '77, in Augusta, Maine. THE Most Thrilling Experience of my lifetime!! He did a GREAT show! Love seeing these clips! Elvis in the '70s is my favorite Elvis. His voice got Better & Better - from starting at The Greatest!
you people that judge Elvis, if you realy knew about him you would know he started with upers and downers in the army!!! they gave them to the men when they did nite maneuvers, elvis had a lot of medical problems not realated to the use, back them they all thought it was ok because it was prescribed just let it go!!! look at the good that man was so kind and generous to so many, he drove himself in the ground for his fans, to this day no one can perform like him, thats why to this day hes still so loved, no one else has the popularty he does, thats why hes the KING!!!! and the world is a better place with him in it, maybe you should listen to if i could dream, i mean really listen to the words!!! Elvis was our Bright star that burned out far too soon!!! R.I.P Elvis your loved and missed by so many!!
Wow, just the way people reacted when he came out, screaming & hollering & couldn't wait to see him is phenomenal. They're reaction is mind boggling. Cameras flashing looked like strobe lights. More Elvis impersonators, than any other celebrity, more people to imitate him than any other, more movies made about him, more songs sung about him, most talked about celebrity ever to live. He wanted to be a big star but never dreamed where it would end & would quiet this big--just a small town country boy.
HE WAS VERY TALENTED, GOD GIVEN TALENT, A MAN WITH ALL THE SHORT COMINGS WE ALL HAVE. NEVER TOOK AWAY FROM HOW WONDERFUL HE WAS!!!! I DON'T THINK PEOPLE WILL EVER FORGET HIS TALENT!!!!! I WON'T!!!
ELVIS STARTED OUT WITH A PAPER WITH THE WORDS AT THE BEGINNING OF"MY WAY." THEN JUST DROPPED IT AND DID MOST WITHOUT THE PAPER!!!! THAT'S WHEN I SAY HIM, BUT I PROMISE YOU THIS, WHEN HE SANG "HURT." NO PAPER, JUST THAT STRONG, AND POWERFUL VOICE. IT NEVER LET HIM DOWN!!!
Elvis's voice has never let him down. Even when he was sick his voice was strong. Elvis has the most beautiful voice in the world. Nobody compares to. Elvis. His everything. Singing. Looks smile. His e u es are so daring. Beautiful. Elvis is everything. Love and miss. Elvis so bad. Wish he was still here. When. I listen to his music. It's like he is right there with you
The Version Of Bridge is nothing short of amazing. Most certainly given the not too good state his health was clearly at this point (May 1977 as he is wearing the mexican sundial suit). It still shows that he could still have what it takes when the right motivation was there. Nothing but respect.
I SAW HIM TWICE IN 1977, ONCE IN COLUMBIA, S.C. AND ONCE IN JACKSONVILLE, FLA. I NEVER EVER WAS DISAPOINDTED! MY 9 YR. SON, AND MY HUSBAND IN COLUMBIA, AND MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND IN FLA. MY SON IS BASSIST, AND STATES TO THIS DAY, IF YOU DON'T AKNOWLEDGE ELVIS TALENT, THEN YOU DON'T MUSIC!!! WE SO EXCITED!! AND TRULY ENJOYED!!!

I love you Elvis and will til I die. You were and are still the greatest ever no one can compare to your gorgeous presents on stage, your fabulous voice and the magic that propells you to the greatest entertainer ever in this world. R I P dear Elvis you are the KING
Me TOO! I actually listen to Elvis ALL day and way into the night when my husband turns off my player. But I've been doing this for just about my entire life, and I will keep in doing it until my last breath. GEE, after 66+ yrs you'd think I'd had enough, but I really can't get enough of that man.
@UCvyuNzpP86m6bj3y_yBt3Ww I know bcuz I was there. It was the first time my husband and kids went back to Alabama with me to visit my family out there. We had just gotten into Elvis Presley Blvd when the news broke thru and announced that Elvis had died. My dorky husband said, "Well there's no reason to try and visit him now", and he turned around and took us back to California. After one of ht concerts in Long Beach, CA in '72 that we had just left, we stopped at the red light 4 blks from the Long Beach Arena, where the concert was, and I looked to make sure no one was crossing the street and Elvis was in the car next to us, on my side of the car. I was screaming and trying to get out thru the window of my VW Bug. I was 8 most pregnant and couldn't reach the limo, but Elvis and Joe we're cracking up, and the light turned green and my husband flipped a U-turn as the limo went straight. Gee I love my husband but he spoiled my chance to maybe party with Elvis and his Mafia friends. I just love him, I have since I was a little kid and he was just starting his career. I just can't get enough of ELVIS PRESLEY!!!!!! Thanks for sharing, I'd love to keep ELVIS alive, at least as long as I can, and you guys are doing a great job trying. Thank you thank you very much uh huh.
When Elvis Presley came to Cincinnati,Ohio on June 25,1977 was the 8:30 show at the riverfront coliseum I was lucky enough to had been there watching him perform live in concert R.I.P. Mr.songman♥!*;)A+and thanks for sharing this music video as I throughly enjoyed it very much!!! Love you Elvis!!!
You are almost completely right, Georgia, Dr. Shepherd said every organ in EP's body was at least twice the size it should have been and yes, the liver was shutting down and yes, he was more bloated than fat. One side of his heart was almost 3 times its normal size and though he did have access to all those drugs, the autopsy showed the only pain med in his system was Demerol given to him by his dentist from the late night visit on the 15th. Dr. Shepherd says #1 the drugs in his system that were abnormally high was 3 different kinds of sleeping meds, strong ones, because the man had severe insomnia since he was a kid; #2 EP always had a problem with constipation but this time he had not been able to relieve it, I'm sure largely because of the meds, but when he got out of bed and went to the bathroom he sat there reading and trying to relieve the constipation; the strain and pressure of his efforts was too much for his heart. He felt the pain, got up trying to get to the bedroom, took 2-3 steps before he fell to the floor still breathing for about 15 minutes before he died. I'd be stupid trying to deny EP took prescribed drugs but I can tell anyone from my own experience about severe insomnia that affects your whole body draining it of the strength you should have if able to sleep normally and allow the body to heal itself and I can tell you about the constipation that causes bloating; I looked as if I was about 4 months pregnant and hurt like hell until I finally took enough OTC stuff to get some relief.......................most people want to simplify Elvis' death by believing and saying he took too many drugs and it was an overdose..........they don't want to believe he grew from a kid to a teenager starting a career then to a man taking the whole world by storm unhealthy. His love of music and performing for all of us who fought to see him as much as possible made him do whatever he had to do to fight off the pain, get on that stage and be Elvis Presley singing his heart out to us, moving around as was his signature...............all to make his audiences happy. However all the years of health issues that got worse bringing on all the medications he got thinking it would ease the pain or make him sleep with "rest", at least trying to make his body more normal than his life could ever be.........AND to be fair one must factor in the colonel who took 50% of his earnings, 1000 or more people who depended on his performances to have their families living comfortably and like it or not, his own generosity to over 50 organizations, as well as individuals, less fortunate than himself. I'm sad that, as a fan, yearning for more and more from him, he pushed himself past the limits of what was healthy for him physically and emotionally until he just couldn't go anymore.
+Bo Forsyth Good grief man, Elvis was addicted to prescription drugs. He was a just a man with the same frailties and vices as any other human has. The drug abuse is what caused all of his health problems, nothing else. I know Elvis was the greatest performer ever and a good man, but the drugs are what killed him. Elvis did not want help, he wanted more prescription drugs and lot's of them. That's classic addiction and that is what took him away from this Earth. The human body cannot take but so much.
+Bo Forsyth - I agree with some of the facts you have stated but - His audience/fans did not make him do it - you also say he took them only because of health issues (YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS) everybody has various medical issues through their life - Elvis' insomnia was caused initially in the early days by the excitement of being "Elvis Presley" and thereafter hopelessly exacabated by the stimulants he took to necessary counter and give an energetic/charismatic performance, and there you have a terribly vicious circle. I have no doubt that the demerol he received from the dentist on the eve of his death was not to relieve accute dental pain but for Elvis' comfort as he was habituated to such medications
Not everybody's body was riddled with all the health issues this man had. The insomnia began around age 7, not because he was Elvis Presley but a young kid whose parents literally took door knobs off doors because of his sleepwalking, he inherited his mom's issue with a bad liver and heart, unhealthy before the meds began..........during his career Elvis had 3 heart attacks, found out he had bone cancer for which he had to take pain meds just to get on a stage and do WHAT HE LOVED TO DO FOR ALL THE PEOPLE HE ENTERTAINED.....he had a portion of his intestines removed at one time but it didn't help...his constipation became worse, his liver became enlarged and one side of his heart was 3 times the normal size. As I said many many times, I DO NOT DENY the medications he took however I will deny the reasons why he took them because I searched and searched, watched & listened to Dr. Shepherd's conclusions of the 3rd autopsy done and continued to watch or listen to interviews by his true and loyal friends who knew the truth. One cannot maintain such a grueling schedule with the pain that enveloped his body from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet without taking medication necessary to ease the pain that helped him with 2 shows a night........60-90 mins long......he blamed no one, I blame no one, but I do understand why he did what he did
Amazing! With all his health problems, he put on a great show! Who else would do that? Just him! Amazing all around, from a teen ,then still going at 42!
No one can say that Elvis ever lost his ability to entertain his audience and is amazing voice never went away, he could sing with the best of them til the very end! had he lived I think he would have done even bigger things in the future, he knew how to adapt to newer styles and Elvis would have easily sailed into the 80s on top.
I wish these shows were taped by CBS instead,he seems more alert and relaxed than he seems in the taped special.I know he must of been worried how people would react since his last tv special was 1973 and he looked awesome..Too bad he never knew his fans would never judge him no matter what..We love you E.
Sivle Aaron, I hear what you say but i don't think that would had change much as Elvis became very nervous being infront of the cameras again, hence his increased intake of drugs trying to come down which only made him look puffy. it was a catch 22
Sometimes the only words that comes to mind in regards to this GOD sent global gift is….. exquisitely offered love… from an exquisite soul. Ty LORD … Ty EP for your obedience. Well done good and faithful servant.
Elvis's voice was the greatest voice on stage, and he had a great ear for music. If he wasn't on key he would stop the band and start over. I am still listening in 2019
People, stop trying to tarnish the King's legacy by just blaming the drugs for his poor health..Geez,did you ever think what a twisted colon that was untreated might have done to this poor man.Everybody's a DEA expert now.Enjoy the video and stop judging him.Thank you:)
hahacentralia6491 Oh ok so you must have been one of his doctors that was treating him at the time, right? He inhereted a bad heart from his mom so she must have been a junkie too.Judge yourself first.
John Sherman No doubt that the drugs had a impact but its so much more then drugs its probably more so his diet buy like you said nobody is a doctor on here and outside of people being attention whores they know nothing. I will say no matter how much people try to tarnish his legacy they never will and they have tried and failed. He's no different them Jim Morrison of the doors who died at the much younger age of 28 to r any other rock star who abused there bodies with unhealthy living. PERIOD!
Brandon Vandine Thanks Brandon, you're so right,E's diet was terrible. But what people don't realize is that his mom died at 42 also and Elvis inherited an enlarged heart from her side of the family..From what I have seen nobody on his mom's side lived a long, healthy life.I'm not making excuses for him I just think he was predisposed to some of his problems and we all know his addiction didn't help him any.He was a very special human being besides being the greatest entertainer in the world and some comments I read are outrageous.Just saying!
GREAT FOOTAGE. Taken from two different shows, I believe the first is from Kansas City, june 18th, 1977. Not sure about the second one, probably from spring 1977. Despite his failing health he gives his fans a 100 percent!
Actually taken from several shows during 1977. And I believe a couple of them have soundboard overdubs from a different show on them. you are correct about the kansas city show. I think Madison, Wi is there, and a bunch of others from the spring of 77.
I think and recall (but would Have to confirm) that “Bridge Over Troubled Water” & “Polk Salad Annie” are from the city of Binghamton in central upstate New York in May of ‘77.
I NEVER knew or will believe that prescribed drugs can do that, w/ exception to anti depressants! Yes , he took a lot, but breathing cole miners dust doesn't get you UNTIL your old. Ask Loretta Lynn. I believe her dad really did work in the mines and her husband Manny? He worked there also for a short time. I just don't believe the simple good life can kill a person. I need more proof than what has been said. Love you Elvis RIP
He just doesn't just sound great He's Fourty day & Fourty Nights including 20 days 20nights on planet saturn in space where his gravestone memphis U.S.A planet Saturn & the ghost of the moon Exelent Singer Elvis Aron Presley
I hate to sound negative I love the man. Overall I really don't think anyone could sing nearly as good as Elvis. with that being said I watched the other day that's the way it is concert on 1970 and listened to his 69 international show and the 68 comeback special. Hell I even played my 2 CD set of his performance in Memphis his hone town. All great performances and to see this obviously such a huge difference. He just had no energy or life. His appearance I can deal with but the electric is completely gone. It really is a shock. I mean no disrespect. He still entertained the hell out of the crowd.
What happened on June 18th and the difference on June 19th. Elvis seems in much better form on the 18th before the CBS cameras were on him. Not so dopped up but then again he doesnt seem too 100% here either, out of it I mean. Although his voice is still there.
Elvis is not fat; he is bloated, effects of the drugs on the liver. His liver is clearly not functioning well now at this point. Soon the drugs effect will attack his heart. I can only feel sorry and sad.
Georgia Morena I never minded him being over weight. Hell he was older and when you get older its more of a struggle and people are to judgmental of him in that area. His health was and should of been the only concern from people not whether he put on some pounds
I wish we would know where these concerts are and what dates and times. From what I know, there are venues where he performs two shows in a day - afternoon and evening. And not all of his concerts are professionally recorded. Many perhaps are personal recording of fans, that is why images and audios are not polished.
i saw Elvis around this time, on May 24, '77, in Augusta, Maine. THE Most Thrilling Experience of my lifetime!! He did a GREAT show! Love seeing these clips! Elvis in the '70s is my favorite Elvis. His voice got Better & Better - from starting at The Greatest!
Hi Jim,
I agree and his voice was very rich as he got older. Gives me goosebumps to this day!!!
His vocal quality definitely peaked from 1961-65. No doubt.

Sivle Aaron, I hear what you say but i don't think that would had change much as Elvis became very nervous being infront of the cameras again, hence his increased intake of drugs trying to come down which only made him look puffy. it was a catch 22
Elvis The King forver
Thanks so much! I´m an Elvis fan from Peru!
Sometimes the only words that comes to mind in regards to this GOD sent global gift is….. exquisitely offered love… from an exquisite soul. Ty LORD … Ty EP for your obedience. Well done good and faithful servant.
The first portion was from his Kansas City, MO concert on June 18, 1977
Awesome as always, his voice never failed him,, he gave 100% always. He'll always be the king.❤❤❤
pandemonium when he came out! thanks for the uploading! love Elvis greetings from Peru!
You are the king rest in peace angel
Elvis a toujours tout donné elvis forever
Meraviglioso sempre...♡♥♡♥♡
Elvis's voice was the greatest voice on stage, and he had a great ear for music. If he wasn't on key he would stop the band and start over. I am still listening in 2019
♥!A+* Elvis Presley!!!
Элвис Пресли. Появился на сцене и пошла магическая сила. Супер. Неподражаемый и неповторимый. Талант. Звезда.
You found yourself pulling for him. Wow what a performance. Even in sickness. He was simply the best entertainer we will ever see. M J included.
The one and only!
O melhor de todos. Elvis The King
Wise men know when its time to go!
I well always love you Elvis ❤
People, stop trying to tarnish the King's legacy by just blaming the drugs for his poor health..Geez,did you ever think what a twisted colon that was untreated might have done to this poor man.Everybody's a DEA expert now.Enjoy the video and stop judging him.Thank you:)
John Sherman hah hah. He was a drug addict of epic proportions. All of his "health problems" were a result of his heavy drug abuse.
hahacentralia6491 Oh ok so you must have been one of his doctors that was treating him at the time, right?
Sivle Aaron absolutely
Thanks for this unvaluable posting! Awesome! Greetings from Peru!

Dá pra traduzir os vídeos em português ? Obrigada
I think and recall (but would
Have to confirm) that “Bridge Over Troubled Water” & “Polk Salad Annie” are from the city of Binghamton in central upstate New York in May of ‘77.
He just doesn't just sound great
He's Fourty day & Fourty Nights including 20 days 20nights on planet saturn in space where his gravestone memphis U.S.A planet Saturn

Poor Elvis, high as a ghost here unbelievable
You can tell he was in poor health. RIP King Elvis.....
+David Grimm well you arent dying either jackass
I TOTALLY AGREE JOHN SHERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
