Hi Yasmin! Thank you VERY much for your kinds words and your blessing - it means a lot to me. I looked up Calypso cookies - what a wonderful suggestion! I will definitely make them. I really appreciate your recommendation. Many blessings and good health to you and your family!
Hi Tra! Peanut butter seems to be an ingredient that many different cultures love and use - I am glad that you like the recipe. I think that the white chocolate really makes it special. Let me know what you think when you make it. Have a great day!
Hi Eman! A very good question. To try to answer your question, here are my thoughts: There are two types of molasses, regular (quite sweet) and blackstrap (darker and a bit more bitter). I use VERY little of it, because the blackstrap molasses has a wonderful taste, and it enhances the flavor of the recipe. I always leave ingredients that might be problematic for people as optional, because you have to decide for yourself what your personal parameters and goals are. I am a T2D and have been completely diet-controlled for seven years. For all of the recipes that I make, I include all of the ingredients in the macro and carb calculations, unless explicitly stated that I have not included an optional ingredient. I find that in order to stay on my keto lifestyle, and have rich and varied food options, I need a variety of tastes and textures, but I do research everything and test everything on myself and my family before posting. Sorry for the long answer, but I hope that this answers your question. Enjoy the weekend!
@Keto Meals and Recipes Thank you very much for your response and explanation I appreciate that ,my husband is T2D too and I try to find recipes suits him and I am also pre-diabetic and I understand your opinion thanks again
Hi Eman! As I mention from time to time in my videos, all of my recipes are ones that I make and test on myself and my family, before posting. When I include an ingredient that may be difficult for some people, I always say that it is an optional ingredient and also indicate whether I include it in the macros or not. I include the macro chart as a guide, to help you determine whether the recipe will suit your dietary needs, including total (for diabetics) and net (for weight loss for others) carbs. I hope that my recipes will be useful to you and your husband, and I hope that both of you have a wonderful weekend!
