- Metal Detecting Ghost Town's Riverbed for lost Treasures!
This week my wife and I take our Garrett Metal detectors to a local ghost towns river where Saloons and Hotels once stood along the bank. We make a few awesome discoveries and clean some litter up while we're at it!

Great video after today I'm not ashamed to break out my shorts nothing like the ole winter white legs looking forward to Friday video thanks from WNC
On the carbide lamp; the carbide went in the bottom tank, the water in the top, the lever on the top regulated how fast the water dripped down on the carbide and how big the flame would be. As a kid I did a lot of caving in the 50s with a carbide lamp and still have the same lamp in my shop.
You are right! You can tell I never used one 🤦♂️
That was too big for a shoe buckle. It was probably a woman's decorative belt or sash buckle. 🤔😎👍
There’s a bug in my shoe 😂😂😂😂
Not gonna lie creeped me out a bit haha
Looked like a June bug.
I’d wear better shoes!
Thanks for the walk in the creek...such fun...great video...🥰🥰
You never know what you will find in these creek walks, but i know they are always fun. 😉
We have those bugs in Mn- water beetle. Our water is too cold right now and I can’t wait to jump in and metal detect❤❤ nice finds! 😎😎
First
I have seen similar lead weights used in window curtains.
I have you beat on the white legs bro! Need sunglasses if I wear shorts!😎😂 Also I have a huge stash of pieces of glass of all colors! If it stands out I pick it up! One day I'm gonna do something with all the broken glass and China and pottery. I especially love finding uranium glass! I really enjoy all your videos! Thanks! 😎
That weight was also used to hold curtains down .
Enjoyed it, fun to see detecting video that ain't all about coins or military...just neat relics from past
Do you have some Clearwater up there in Birmingham? The water down below Marion is dirty, looking how to find bottles.
It's pretty wild that you find so many pocket watches in one stretch of creek. 🤔 very unusual. I bet there has to be a logical reason for that but I would love to know why...🤔👍😎
I enjoyed your video Thanks for sharing more awesome video s
Those miners lamps are bright actually and the top gets water the bottom unscrewed and that's where the carbide was put in
What is that on your face!!!! Hutch beard appears again!!!!😂
Hew eights were often used as fishing weights when they could not afford tackle.
Awesome relics, Brandon! I love the miner's lamp and the buckle!❤
All those bugs and things were drawn like moths to the flame by those glaring white legs, lol.
Hi, I'm upstate NY. If I had a place like that to hunt I would definitely be back. Nice finds.
Thumbs up buddy 😎👍
Good video and finds. Take care
Rusty treasure!
Nice hunt thank you for sharing 👍👍❤️
Nothing like looking for treasures
I got a spider in my shoe once and ended up with webbed toes 😞🍻
I had a spider on my junk. Now I’m a freaky Spiderman shooting webs.
I never noticed the legs, but those shoes caught my eye right away!
They float and if they fall off in the river the brighter the color the easier to find haha!
Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada . 😊
Good day! Wonderful work finding things. Have a fantastic week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Wonderful video as always.😊
Awesome video y'all 😎👊!!!! That carbide lamp is in pretty good shape✌🍀
Some cool finds ya'll 😃
I wish I had a bunch of extra time to do this type of stuff!
Some people like to watch TV lol that’s where I get my time from. I just quit watching lol
I like that you try to repurpose your finds and get rid of the trash, too. Good job. ❤
Glad your channels finally getting the recognition it deserves! 19k in a day is really good, been subbed since around 7k
Great content as always
👍🙏>>>💚~~~ THANK YOU
Great finds!! Thank you!!!❤❤😊😊
I like how the Apex is so clear especially with the high tone and it is really good at finding tiny objects I use my Apex all the time 😊 I really like my ATPro and Max but since I picked up the APEX i haven’t used them much but they are my go to. Nice little head lamp and buckle. Remember every adventure is different even if you have been to the same place before you never know what you might find or what might find you like little creepy crawling water spiders or baby worms 😂💪keep up the good work.
Cool video.! As a former coal miner I find that carbide light very interesting! Thanks !
Nice video, on a carbide light, water goes in the top tank and the carbide in the bottom. Water drips down to produce acetylene gas. Used them a lot in my caving days. Common names were Justrite, Premier and Guy’s dropper. Occasionally you see a butterfly brand which is a foreign copy of an American brand but I don’t remember which one.
Thanks for taking us along!!
Thank you Brandon and wife for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery and nice finds !
Thanks for cleaning up after modern-day people. "Remember people you pack it in pack it out"!!
Is that the creek you pulled the jug from.
Yep!
Im’telling you, Miranda…Wind Chime’s would be cool.
Keep searching for truth old stuff relics .. he who searches the absolute truth shall find it our treasures are found on earth as is in heaven .. or hold on been a while .. what's the correct saying?
Good video.
That was fun!
Fun!
There was a really nice trout swimming by your left leg on your intro!! Great video as well. 👍
Old coal towns had company stores, they didn't pay you in cash but in store credit.
❤
That was hilarious, sorry Brandon, awesome video!
Cool
Good thing your viewers have never seen my legs; they'd need eclipse glasses.
That spoon bent in like that was more than likely used as one in a set of playing spoons, instrumental!
How can you tell the age of a whiskey jug that has no markings
Glaze color and type.
Ok thank you for the info, keep hunting ! I love your videos
I'm so sorry. I would have lost my s*** when you found that spider or maybe giant waterbug, but 😮😮😮!!!
😂 I kept it together for the camera but was freaked out a bit
Interesting finds as usual mate! Pocket watches were usually worn on a chain that hooked onto a button on the persons vest(which was the style back in the day). I’d guess that if the wearer leaned over a rail or similar, the pocket watch could slip out of the pocket and if not secured properly fall below into the creek, it’s likely this happened a lot with people throwing up after drinking too much over the railings of saloons and homes into the creek, relieving themselves into the creek or getting into fights and ending up in the creek and losing their watch 🤔
I’ve got my grandfathers old carbide lantern. Puts out a beautiful white flame. He used to hunt raccoons with it. He said that one night the light ran out of water and I had to pee in it to get it back going 😂😂. Great vid!
lol now that’s funny
Would that be McDowell WV?
