It’s good skiing in alpe but the town is too spread out especially if you’re staying in a chalet in les Bergers - we stayed there and never went into town in the evening as it was a hassle to walk down and back up. La sarenne is a great run first thing in the morning to beat the crowds. Nice skiing down into the smaller villages as well.
Not bad for you, I heard alot of good things about Beaver creek. I am a bum myself, but luckily closer to France. The thing these videos don't show is the real price of staying there. Beer in those Aprés ski bars is around €8, other drinks are more expensive (exept wine - it's France afterall). Cheaper bars sell burgers for €10-15, more xpensive restaurants for €25-40. Other activities apart from skiing are anywhere from €30 up to that €75 for that helli ride. And this resort is considered to be on the cheap side.
The good part is that you can get a cheap studio with a kitchen and a fridge and stockpile food and drinks from cheap supermarkets on your way to the vilage. Accomodation and ski pass will set you back €300 if you can find a good deal on the internet and 4 people to share a room with. If you don't mind focusing on skiing and spend a little more time in your room it can be afordable. If you decide to visit Europe for skiing, but still want to do it on a budget, Italy may be a nicer option, Sestriere in particular.
These videos are so good please keep them coming! Next time I'm taking the girlfriend skiing I'll make an Excel list of your scores and tell her to pick the favourite. xD
In 2021/2022 season *Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes will be connected!!* creating the 3rd largest ski area in France after 3 valleys and Portes du Soleil.
@@dimitrilovsky502 agreed southern alps are in new zealand. Alpe d'huez cannot be the courchevel of the southern alps because it is not in new zealand, and hence, it is not in the southern alps...
@@dimitrilovsky502 no no, I completely agree with what you're saying. My point is Courchevel and ADH are very near to each other, so saying that one is the southern counterpart of the other does not quite make sense.
@@angedeclinand4767 Is it like Les Deux Alpes? I found LDA a bit disappointing, but it was good that we could go high up. The snow nearer the bottom was pretty much all melted, but the lift pass was still the same price. Worse still, it cost more than the Portes du Soleil pass and had only a fraction of the terrain. 😶
1Flyingfist les deux alpes is not the same resort, and I don’t like it either. Our resort is suite larger and I’m sure you’d love it. 😂 I realise I probably sound like selling the resort I go to but it is sincerely great
we hope to film in Avoriaz this winter, so, portes du Soleil will be covered. regards to les duex alpes and Morzine, we will film after vaccination when the bars and nightlife will be back
This is a very disapointing resort. You cannot chain pists one with the other, simply because there is flat killing your speed after a good descent. And also the chairlifts are wrongly setup and very damn slow.
Hi Kyla, sorry for the late reply. Alpes D'Huez is certainly a good option. you can save money, and go to bansko. Most ski resorts we reviewd are good also for beginners. the advantage of being a beginner is that you don't need a big area and therefore save money. Passo Tonale is kind of a mid way between Bansko and the top ski resorts. like alpes d'huez, Tignes also can be free ski pas for the first 2 days.( in both places you will need a skipass for the 3rd day and own. If I am too late, which place you've been, and how was it?
The longest, so called Black run in the world, is a joke. The last kilometre or two you'll be pushing as its as good as flat, even worse if it's either wet spring snow or fresh powder. Disappointing to say the least!
like always, the best ski resorts videos!! thank you

did not happen yet?
Didn’t happen I’m afraid, not planned for a couple more years yet- but a few new lifts have gone in the new email ADH ski area for winter 2021-22
I read in a ski magazine several years ago that Alpe D'Huez was regarded as THE COURCHEVEL OF THE SOUTHERN ALPS
Jeremy Slaney courchevel is in the southern Alps

La meilleure station de ski 🎿💚🇫🇷
Oui
Il y a d autres stations plus sympa ...
Clairement !
Most disappointing thing was the expanse of piste. After skiing 3 Valleys and Arlberg i found it very limited.
still 250 km...
@@allezchosetruc We did all of it in less than 3 days. The snowpark is cool bit too long (no specific chairlift for the snowpark).

Fantastic resort!
this long black run looks not so steep? is it hard black or easy one?
it is one of the easiest blacks
I am a local
The fact is that even though it’s not that complicated, once you’re engaged, you have to go through the 20km
