- Join us for a fireside chat! This month we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe! We've had some amazing adventures, our share of ups and downs, and have two wonderful kids. I just found your videos like a week ago and it has been ALL I watch. As someone who has never even gone camping, I have been telling everyone who will listen that I could probably build a cabin. That’s because of you and how inspiring your life is. This is the best content to watch after a long day of working in the city. Can’t wait to save up for camping materials and start my journey of being more in touch with nature. Thank you Brooke.
I did the same when I found Girl in the Woods. I watched them all and look forward to all new episodes. I watch Dave's channel and now Mickey's as well. I would watch Maisy Daisy and Moose too if they had a channel.

Happy Anniversary Dave and Brooke! Love this fireside story hour. I agree and it is scientific, not just hippy dippy, basically our neurological system is electric and electric energy is something that you can feel. Animals, babies and young children pick up on the mood or energy of what is around them. As we get older we either tune things out, reason our instincts away or learn to tune into them and listen to them. It's scientific as a study was done, they hooked up EEG's to a number of people to measure brain waves and put them in a room together. After about 20 minutes there brain waves had synced up. Even without this study, you know when you're around someone fun and funny you get lifted up or if you're around someone going through some things, your heart cries with them. I listen as my instincts have literally saved my life more than once. I was in danger and there was no way of me knowing it, yet I listened and found out pretty quick that my action in response to "feeling" the danger was absolutely the right call. Take care, stay safe and keep walking your talk better than most ever do. God bless you and yours.

I live out away from other houses and you never realize how noisy a house is until you lose power. It becomes so quiet and peaceful. No frig kicking on and so dark.
I can’t imagine anyone in bear country not carrying a good firearm. A couple in Alaska both died from a grizzly a few weeks ago. They had bear spray and used all of it.

I am deaf! Have those hearing aids that help with conversation but not directional noises. I was born and raised on ranch in Texas which we still have. Use to camp out when we could run cows and goats they were your greatest threats, waking you up before I I lost my hearing. Wild hogs eliminated the goats and I could no longer run cattle by myself and I haven’t camped since. In my mid 70s now but still miss the excitement which I am reliving thru yall. Thank you!
Moose looked at them like a kid,whuut, I just wanted to catch a fish,I'm a dog, I can swim,I got da dog paddle down pat yall. Woof.

I remember my 25 th like it was yesterday. Unfortunately my X left 4 months shy of our 40th for someone younger. This bought back beautiful but sad memories. I love you and Dave and I know your a lifetime family. God bless you all and thank you for the memories.

Congratulations on 25 years of a wonderful marriage, we built a house in the woods before our 25th, it was just beautiful to be there before everything was developed, I miss the quiet, but must admit our first few nights we felt it was just too quiet at first.
