Great video. It brings back lots of memories. A mate and I used to travel from Cheshire to Tinsley by train, get the bus from Sheffield Station to "The Three Magpies" for just 2p (10p once we were over 16), and then walk over the bridge to the depot, before climbing up the embankment to watch the goings-on. Thank you.

Well those would have been the days as I imagine would have been a very interesting depot and yard in those days!

I went there in the 2p bus days, found a fiver (fortune then) on the path on the bank up around the back, paid for my whole day from Bristol

Being a secondman at Sheffield Midland we use to catch a bus in middle of night in 70s to Tinsley to bring locos down to station for workings in the mornings great times.

@@paekokstationmaster5032 There were constant loco movements. The sights, sounds and smells were brilliant.

Well fancy that you were the famous name writer for which Tinsley Locos were known for!
      Glad you enjoyed my video!

Great video. Brings back memories for me when train spotting in the 70s 80s. We used to seek inside the sheds and round the great locos. Naughty naughty.
