I'm a small farm, farmer listening to your podcast at 330 am. At minute 26, I'm thinking there's about a dozen little shorts you could have created that I would have reposted all over. I agree with your thinking in this segment 110%. Keep up the good work.
Bravo. If I were in the audience you would get a standing ovation. I applaud you for saying what needs to be said by the people who only talk in small circles and whisper the conversation. Things are getting out of hand.
All I can think about is the scene in Braveheart when Mel Gibson walks out of the meeting because all anyone there was thing about themselves and what scraps they were going to get. And Mel says to the young man, "UNITE US! UNITE US!" The American people need to be united not for what we gain but to keep our FREEDOM our own way of life. Amen. God help us.

Love the podcast, been subbed for a bit. I'm on the opposite end of the political spectrum of you guys, but I watch to gain insight/have a better understanding of your views.
One note though, I think it's a bit unfair to state that one end can "vote with their wallets" (example conservatives w/Disney), but someone else is "on the wrong side of history" when voting with their own (example dems w/Elon+X). Sometimes I think you guys get a little too matter-of-fact with your views, which closes doors for those conversations we should want to encourage.

Consumers voting with their wallets is not the same as huge corporations throwing their weight around to limit people’s access to information and viewpoints, or to the expression of their opinions.
@@LtColDaddy71 There were 500 companies that pulled advertising from Twitter. None of them did it to limit peoples access to information or to limit their ability to speak.
People need to stop with this nonsense that what an unknown, random account says on Twitter is 'the town square' or 'free speach' or any of that nonsense. Its Twitter, ffs. It could stop tomorrow and the world would not only continue, it would probably be better.
A comment on the Walter Cronkite bit. A Vietnam vet once told me that during the war him and a bunch of his buddies started calling him Walter Crack Pipe because they saw what he was seeing and then they saw how he reported it.
I've never heard that. Crack didn't come about till the 80s.

in a future Barn Talk can you comment on all of the Utah hog farm contracts that were cancelled. Why are hogs grown in Utah? I wouldn't have thought Utah would have been a hog producing state.

I personally think a farming buisness should essentially be a tax free buisness model to allow the most amount of people to have a healthy and fairly priced product locally
I signed up to twitter to follow NFL. No matter the settings, no matter what I followed, no matter how many accounts I blocked, it was just full of political nonsense. Every morning I would wake up, and they would send me tweets, from some f***stick nobodies, that I dont care about, and have no interest in their opinion. I wanted to follow football, and speak about football. Even in the football tweets, it would take no more than 3-4 tweets before someone would hijack it, just to troll. And it was just trolling too, saying racist shit, brining up BLM for no reason, brining up Trump, for no reason, saying some sexist shit, for no reason. It is just a cesspool of trolls.
500 companies have boycotted Twitter, it isn't just Disney. Twitter useage has gone done and they have lost 50% of its value in a year. He can blame what he wants, but twtiter has only made money for two quarters in their history and it has always had a small amount of people compared to the rest of society, and has always been a bit of a waste of space. Elon talks a lot of "free speech" but he also took the Tesla factories to China and sucks Xi's knob like it gives him life. Happy to sh!t on America and American's but won't say anything but praise and love for the CCP.
Social media, for the most part is just trash. RUclips can be a little different, because you have long form stuff - like you guys - but Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, they are all just mind rotting swill, and people screaming at each other. First thing to boycott is social media!
I am in Australia, I don't always agree with you guys politically, but I like listening to the farm talk (city slicker so I find it interesting) and I do like to hear why people are feeling shitty. My advice though, get off social media, its all garbage.

I've been following the beef trade and there are talking a lot about only 4 main beef processors.. do you guys have the same problem with big business/ processor that the beef farmers are complaining about?
