Why Toy Story 5 Will Ruin Everything

- Why make this movie? Seriously? Come on now, they've had like two films end as if it's the end of the franchise, to try and play up our sympathy and nostalgia. We've had them openly advertise these films as the end of the franchise to bring back parents and whatnot who grew up on these films, only to walk back on them. How long until the franchise is ruined? We'll see.

Disney or Pixar or whoever should have just stopped at 3.

Yup
I get Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2, but Toy Story 5 feels like they're pushing it. I'd rather Pixar (or Disney) makes a film with the INTENTION of continuing it, rather than saying "hey, this movie was planned to be one and done, but massive success leads us to add more installments that feel like extra content."
@@OpticalSorcerer exactly
I disagree. While TS3 was about Andy growing up and giving his toys to Bonnie, we didn’t exactly get a conclusion to Woody's character arc. TS4 gave us just that… until TS5 was announced.
My one biggest problem with Toy Story is Woody goes through the same story arc every film:
Gets lost, learns a lesson, returns
Edit: for everyone arguing about the specifics, here's a small edit:
gets lost/stolen/donated (4 counts as lost for saving Forky), learns some kind of life lesson or moral, returns to friends/Andy
And they forgot to make him return in the last film so they need to make another one for him to return again😂
He didn’t rlly learn anything in toy story 3, just made a tough decision in the end
Dear Lord. You're right.
Why is that bad?
@@auroraSLAPbecause nobody wants to see the same thing over and over again, otherwise it becomes predictable and boring.
Toy Story 4 just felt like fanfiction. Toy Story 5 is gonna be fanfiction done badly.
I agree
Toy Story 4 was already horrendous
Agreed
A badly written fan fiction. Yes, it's that much of a horrible film!
Fan fiction writers could probably write something much better than that trash.
I especially didn't like how they butchered the characters (especially Woody, Buzz & Bo), have panic attack-inducing scenes (the voice box ripping out & the surgery scenes made me feel nauseated), & I couldn't stand Ducky & Bunny (they're just bullies) or Forky (annoying & makes a mockery of people who actually have gone & done suey-side).
It feels like a badly written creepypasta than a sequel.
Toy Story 4 doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned.
They were already pushing it at number 4. C’mon Pixar.

If I see Andy and Woody somehow talking to each other in Toy Story 5, I'm gonna go insane.
What if they did a story about Bonnie catching a glimpse of the toys coming to life, then it would add a lot more stakes. Then a new conflict emerges. Toys lose their sanity and break outta line. Maybe a villain emerges saying they shouldn’t need to hide their identity and pretend to be lifeless in front of humans. Just an idea.
They should've finished the films at Toy story 3.
And in my opinion the Halloween and Christmas specials and the three shorts were fine as extra stuff and acting as mini epilogue stories.
We didn't need a 4th film let alone a 5th film.
The worst part is the end of Toy Story 3 made it out that Bonnie loved Woody and was visibly upset when Andy was hesitant to give him away. The film happens because woody decided bonnie didn't need him anymore because he hadn't been played with for 3 days which literally was part of the 1st film except for months and he still stayed with Andy. Toy Story 4 literally exists because someone decided there needed to be another film.
The 3 and the specials you talked about are all that’s needed. The saga ends with the Christmas special going full circle to the first movies message.
I really like characters as Forky Bunny Ducky and Duke Caboom but they could have just been characters in shorts or specials.
Absolutely agreed.
@@justinmclanson7924 there was a Christmas special?
Next thing you know they're gonna make a live action version of Toy Story after this comes out.
there’s already a live action version of toy story made by fans on youtube.
They've gotten close already.
But lol ohh... You guys would hate that
A live-action horror movie about toys which come to life to torment a kid who dreams of becoming a surgeon actually sounds pretty cool.
And it could end with him giving up on his dreams and becoming a garbage worker - partly because he hopes to help families dispose of their toys.
Oh God no
Yeah and Andy is Angelica
Honestly, if they want to keep Toy Story alive, I’d suggest them doing a tv show. Sort of like the Toy Story shorts, but longer. It would just be a light-hearted show about the toys and their wacky adventure. Wether those adventures be when Bonnie leaves the room, or when Bonnie is playing with the toys (sort of like the beginning of Toy Story 3). I feel these characters could work really well in a tv show format.
I agree or a prequel since it wouldn’t effect the ending of the 3rd or well 4th one 🙄
That's a great idea! Sadly though, Pixar are more concerned about even bigger buck buck bucks from a film.

They can make the storyline from Star Command just like in Disney Infinity
In Toy Story 3, it is suggested that the toys including Woody had moved on from Andy. But in Toy Story 4, it's like he hasn't moved on from Andy, according to the scene where he accidentally said 'Andy' instead of 'Bonnie'.
I couldn't help but to think that he choose to be a childless toy because Andy is irreplaceable and he couldn't adapt to new changes with a new owner so he seek comfort from an old love, where most of their sweet memories were being played and loved by Andy.
That might not be the actual meaning of the 4th movie but that's how I interpret it. I have no expectation of the fifth movie but I will not be surprised if they bring Andy back for nostalgia and further proved that Woody had never moved on from Andy.
(I joked with my friends that 5th movie may ended with Woody showing that he's alive to Andy which sounds ridiculous but I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to do that)

They could make woody into a serial killer, or buzz into a sex offender. Those would be the one of the few ways you could destroy these characters more so than 4.
I also think it can't be worst than the Toy Story 4.
I completely agree with you.
I’m it’s not impossible for Toy Story 5 to be worse than 4. Disney Ice age adventures of buck wild proved they could make a worse sequel than Collision course.
4 already killed it. 5 is just defiling its grave. The series ended at 3 FILMS.
Exactly
I would rather them try to make Woodys round up as a movie or a series
Thats.. Actually not a bad idea, because Woody's Round-Up is an already established series for Woody so there is a lot of potential for it to become a movie or tv show.
They can make a good compelling story, introduce new characters, learn more about woody and the gang and best of all, Finish the finale of Woody's finest hour from the "cancelled" show (I mean Toy Story 2 kinda already did that, but I can dream 😌)
Either that or this will just be another Lighteryear.. T_T

Toy Story 3 had the perfect ending to the Franchise There shouldn’t have been another toy story after that.
Facts
You know what they say "it doesn't matter if you're weak, what matters is you don't give up." Same goes for the bad movies.
I really liked how after 3, we saw Toy Story resurface many times in Pixar shorts and promos, like "Toy Story of Terror" and "Toy Story that Time Forgot". We got some bite-sized glimpses into how the toys are doing, and an expanded look at the toy world. And they sold plenty of real toys and merch based on these shorts!
With this format, the franchise never dies yet the main story plots are kept valid.
Yeah, the toons and specials were great. Should had stayed there
I don't mind 3+ films in a franchise if they're set up that way on purpose and leading to something, but each TS installment feels independent and each ending final, thus making TS5 feel unnecessary.
TS5 is NOT unnecessary.

My kids love watching the first 3 Toy Story movies. I think my son has watched 4 once or twice, and never again. But he will watch the shorts, which are fun. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that the Forky subplot started out as a short that they decided to shove into a dumb movie.
Pixar of today is not the Pixar we grew up with. The creative people who built the studio to begin with are no longer there, or they are in roles they are unsuited for. All that’s there is people who are trying to copy the Pixar formula - be cute and funny, tug at the heartstrings, make people cry. With new Pixar, it’s cheap and forced. None of it feels organic. None of it is earned. It’s sad, but that’s where we are.
Your son has good taste cuase Toy Story 4 sucks
Elemental is the only one in a decade which felt like it came from a place of love and care.
Most of the others?
Garbage.
The only other ones I'd save are Luca (which was just ok), Coco and Inside Out.
But that doesn’t mean we should give up.
Pixar right now is like an F-1 race car that was sold to some kid with a learner’s permit. You will never see the quality and performance from that car with its current owner that you saw with its past driver.
Spot on!
I still think that Toy Story 3’s ending is a very beautiful ending, even if it isn’t the ending to the franchise anymore. And while I do agree that they should have stopped there (even though TS4 was a guilty pleasure of mine), since everyone hated the ending to 4 and proclaimed that Woody “betrayed and abandoned his friends”, so if they reunite, no harm will be done in these peoples’ eyes.
My guess is that the movie starts with Bo and Woody, they find a child that looks exactly like young boy Andy and Woody goes crazy hunting him down. Bo and Woody track the boy to his home and realize that the boy is Andy’s son, or maybe grandson if they want to make the audience feel old. Woody and Bo stick around to discover that the boy is bullied in school and depressed with no friends and his parents are working all the time so don’t really notice. Woody and Bo go to track down the rest of the gang and they work together to cheer up the boy and give him confidence to stand up for himself and not be afraid to meet new people.
This would be the only way I could really think of doing TS5 and giving the story a reason to bring back all of the characters where it doesn’t undermine the story of the last movie.

Toy Story 5
Bonnie being older at this point decides to give the toys back to Andy on the account of him having his first child. Realizing Woody is missing Bonnie holds off on giving the toys back and frantically retraces her steps to find him. Andy becoming a father for the first time could give us flashbacks of when his father used to be around and being the one who gave Woody to him in the first place (a nice cameo they could add is Andy at one point watching Lightyear and asking his dad to get him a Buzz Lightyear toy before having gone missing never being able too) We later know the mom ends up being the one giving the Buzz toy to Andy.
The movie could be about having Woody and Bo come back into the group after having done their thing for a while but come across someone new or old that causes a bump along the way. While also seeing the sides of not only the toys but Andy’s connection with his own dad as he’s becoming one himself and Bonnie who at this point is finishing things up at Elementary compared to her entering Kindergarten in Toy Story 4. The main focus being the toys as they’re trying to reconnect with Woody but can’t seem to find him or Bo anywhere and are racing against the clock with a new threat of the possible new toys/old toys and Andy’s child from being born as Bonnie would see it as the perfect present for Andy to give all the toys back.
I’d like to think this is a really nice way to finally wrap things up while leaving things open for side projects making Toy Story 5 the official ending. Bonnie realizing just how special Woody really is to later giving the toys back to Andy and her new baby girl, I’d like Andy to have a girl idk why. To the toys reuniting for the last time as they visit the park and other places the toys have possibly been, maybe even the daycare with Barbie and Ken again who knows. To keep it wholesome, funny moments, moments that make you cry, moments that are serious, character development, coming into fatherhood etc. this is how I would possibly do Toy Story 5.

Growing up with Toy Story, Toy Story 3 felt like a great conclusion to the franchise, as well as a great goodbye to my childhood/teen years, as I entered post-high school life and adulthood.

IMO, 3 is the best of the Toy Story movies, because it's both heartwarming and tearjerking. 4 contrasted too much from 3, namely Bonnie's relationship with Woody. Andy was actually reluctant to give Woody to Bonnie and only did so because she loved him so much. In 4, Bonnie abandons Woody in favor of Forky, and Woody ends up leaving many of his longtime friends just to be with Bo Peep. 4 wasn't necessary, and I don't think 5 will be, either.
3 is my favourite too

And I was like shut up with your bullsh!t, Bonnie was still around the same age so she wouldn't have immediately forgotten a Toy she found which she thought was for free and had a blast playing with him and even more fun with Andy (You'd think that would make an awesome childhood memory)
and also in the previous movies Woody wasn't that much of a Simp to give up his friends and owner because "BO PEEP IS DUMMY THICC" If Woody was Woody, he would've at least invited Bo Peep (maybe even her friends too) to come live with his friends and hide in like the attic or something where they can live in private happily.

There is only one way to rectify this. The 5th movie would need to return the story to Andy. Have it be about his wedding. Or maybe he has kids of his own now and an older Bonnie returns his old toys so they can have them. Andy is upset that Woody is missing, so the other toys try to find him.
Andy is the key to this franchise. He might have been in the background, but it doesn’t work if he isn't there. He's the emotional heart of these films.
My pitch for Toy Story 5 would actually be about Sid, the antagonist from the first movie, who is now a garbage man. Reveals that to this day he continues to customize toys, but he’s no longer doing it maliciously, he’s doing it as a Toy Doctor. He rescues broken toys from the garbage dump and rebuilds them. You could even have it that he’s the only human toys trust to be alive around, since he knows their secret. Then you could have Woody or Buzz stumble onto him and misunderstand that he has changed due to the trauma he experienced in his childhood.

Thats dumb
As someone who did somewhat like 4's message, I'm realizing how different Toy Story and Shrek are as franchises.
Shrek constantly evolves its message of society's expectations conflicting with reality, and to some extent, accepting and embracing that instead of guilt. Shrek 1, 2, 4ever After, and Puss- The Last Wish lean on this in their own ways. It evolves without feeling repetitive.
Since Toy Story is a mix of moving on and toy-themed locations, I don't know where they can go now, after Woody chose to explore. Bo Peep's new outfit makes sense if she's a scavenger, lost doll clothes can also count as lost toy pieces. But where can you go after this- without being redunant with Buzz again?
Perhaps a factory or a toy fair?
TS4's message is hideous. Woody basically surrendered to the villain.
Try to picture Woody letting himself explode/burn/be dismantled by Sid, or going to the museum with Stinky Pete, or letting he and his friends suffer in Sunny Side, while Lots-o keeps living a good life.
By giving his voice box to Gabby Gabby, he surrendered to the villain.
A much, MUCH better message was if he DIDN'T give away his voice box, Gabby Gabby got rejected by Harmony, and then found the lost girl in the park, and had that girl be DEAF. Done.
Being deaf would make more sense for a girl to be lost and so terrified in a park, and being deaf would means she would love Gabby Gabby for who she was, as her kid wouldn't be able to listed to her broken voice box anyways!
Also having a deaf character would raise Disney's woke/social credits more. It baffles me nobody thought about it.
@@Sugurain One, Gabby Gabby is less a villain and more just an opposing force.
Two, it's not 'woke'/progressive to exist. Deaf people exist, so do blind people, of any background, any identity. It's about how, not just who, you write.
Although Woody giving away his voice box does seem like a "heal the disability" ending, I think the fact it isn't "everything is fixed" keeps it from being such. Because Woody chose to give back to others.

I don’t care what noooo one says Toy Story 4 is one of the worst Pixar films I’ve ever seen, but this one takes the cake 😡
Ya Sadly to me it felt like Woody wasn't cared for that much. It just felt like he was ignored.
At least toy story 4 reiterates Woodys quote from the first film. "We're Andy's toys, we're here for Andy when he needs us." He put this in practice concerning Bonnie and Forky (instead of hating forky like he hated buzz). He realized Bonnie didn't need him anymore so he decided to be with his lover Bo Peep.
You know when I was younger I thought shows and movies should go on for a long time with lots of seasons and sequels but now I think that even if it’s only one more season or sequel they should just stop while it’s still golden and perfect

Wish after 3 they would’ve gone in the direction of the Toy Story 3 Game on nintendo. That game was so much fun & the in space/ranch levels were so fun. Would shake things up in the franchise not having to see them constantly drop dead after any human passes by and allows them to tell a fun story. We need more silliness and these films are starting to take themselves way to seriously.
The franchise should have stopped in the 3.
Exactly
80 years later: toy story ten on the way!
God no.
Let this franchise end don't end toy story on a bad movie
It already did
Toy Story 6 anyone? 😂😂😂😂
@@jupitervideos7702Toy Story 4 was unnecessary but still a great movie
@@racool911it was absolutely horrendous, the ending is a disservice to buzz and especially woodys character
None of the Toy Story movies were bad and this one will be no different
It might even be the best one
Im screaming at the fact that they showed Bonnie playing with Woodie and Forky together throughout the whole roadtrip and they still had him leave
I could say the same thing for the Indiana Jones movies where the last Crusade, which has last in the title was the perfect ending I mean they literally rode off into the sunset. Then part four came out and it was unnecessary and then part five came out, which was even more unnecessary.
I was an Indiana Jones fan growing up with 4 as a 2000s kid (then getting into the og 1-3), and even I felt nothing watching the Trailer for Indiana Jones 5, it just felt soulless.
@@johngddr5288 I don’t even hate 4 but in the long run, we still didn’t need it
At this point everything from my childhood has been ruined. I’ll just ignore this as non canon and I do with everything else.
I hope Toy Story 5 is all about realizing how much of a mistake everything in Toy Story 4 was and reunited Woody with the other toys.
And also just let ONE kid see them talk again. And explore what makes a toy alive. Because currently it seems as though the imagination projected onto the toys is what makes them alive. Creators give them life by projecting a story onto them, hence why they start off thinking they are the actual character in their story. And then other toys come to life because kids play with them and given them a story. Same with Forky. Forky was made into a toy and it was projected onto him.
I also just thought it would be cool if TS1 was about saving Buzz, TS2 was saving Woody, TS3 was saving the group, and eventually the toys save a lost child or something maybe. Idk.
Only story they could do is Bonnie grows up they do a time jump, and she gives the toys back to Andy’s kids, but they know andy will wonder where woody is and they’ll have the toys in search of woody and bo and at the end we’ll have a last shot of a grown up Andy holding woody and buzz again with music swelling in the background as Andy gives his kid the toys. Then even then they’ll ruin another monent with Toy Story 6
I honestly want woody to go back to andy, I don't care about the rest of the toys. If woody alone goes back to andy, I'll be happy. But in all honesty, the story we needed was leaving his toys at his house at 3 instead of the lil girl, The girl getting her own toys and maybe learning to take care of toys using andy as an example. Then for the 4th movie, I would have preferred to see a grown up andy pass his toys down to his own children.
True TS3 should have ended things. 4 was cute in plotline sense, bring back Bo Peep but her design and actions felt forced.
Honestly, Andy told Bonnie specifically to take care of Woody for him. Yes okay, she's a little kid and losing toys is sadly normal but still the amplified massage is clear.
The ending of 4 was indeed heartwarming. As Buzz and Woody state their phase together one last time, of course unknowingly makes more beautiful: To Infinity and Beyond.
Rez asks the gang, "So is Woody a Lost Toy?" Buzz replies softly, wisely holding Jesse's hand. "He's not lost, not anymore."
So yes, it had it's good and well placed moments. Gabby-Gabby honestly scared me and her dummy minions seriously that's horror movie worthy.
But talking about a 5th installment?! Okay, no thank you at 28, I don't see the point of it. The franchise ran it's course perfectly. Added on another would ruin it's finer points.
Everyone have a blessed Tuesday July 18, 2023 at 10:13AM. 🌸🔥🌸🔥🌸
They already ruined Toy Story with 4. So best case scenario it undoes the damage, worst case scenario I didn't care about the direction of this franchise anymore anyway.
Agreed
Considering the fact that Bonnie really wanted Woody in 3 but doesn’t play with him for weeks in 4 actually pissed me off. If Woody went with Andy to college at least he would have cared about him while Bonnie throws him out like a piece of garbage. But how Woody stayed with his family and didn’t go off with Andy to college in 4 actually proves he is a good leader ❤
This reminds me of tales of arcadia, the people that make these shows are invalidating the entire show/movie with these things. Tales of arcadia on a rewatch makes it feel meaningless because you know the ending of rise of the titans and a toy story 5 ruins the rest of the franchise and endings because of these. I vote we make toy story 5 bomb even more then teenage kraken did so they will not move on to a toy story 6.
It will be hard to make it bomb that hard considering Pixar's popularity. It will probably be another Indiana Jones 5 case
It would be really cool if they kept continuing the story but as mini shorts, like they were doing after 3. They could have shorts for woody’s team and the toys with Bonnie, but don’t make them interact with eachother
At this point, both Pixar and disney will make more crappy sequels or live action remakes just for profits like EA with cliches and ignoring the other movies and messages to ruin the franchise.
As for Toy story 5, the forth film was alright but was unnecessary to the franchise which it should ended as a trilogy. It probably will be the worst sequel like ralph breaks the internet and shrek the third. I really don't know what the plot is but it probably end up ruining the other messages from the other movies. It does involve both woody and buzz but how are they going to do that because Woody has separated from the gang and join the lost toys with bo peep so I don't really understand how of they going to make the 5th movie great after what happened in the previous sequel?
Ever since Toy Story 1, I’ve always wanted them to make a toy and a human both villains. Like the human villain has always known toys existed, so he partnered with one to take the other toys down (for some apparent reason.)
Idk maybe they could even twist it into him being Sid 🤷♂️
It feels like Disney is in the early 2000’s again by making more sequels
I really hope that Toy Story 5 is like a Spiderverse moment, it could be good but it’s highly unlikely. We all rolled our eyes when a Puss and Boots sequel was announced, and it turned out amazing. I’m hopeful, but keeping my expectations in check.
*You do realize this is Disney we're talking about here..* 😑
@@jaredwalker3960 i sure do.
*as i said, i have my expectations in check.*
Tbh the Toy Story franchise felt ruined when the 4th one was released for me. And then came Lightyear which just solidified that this franchise is practically nothing more than the go-to cash grab movies now because of the nostalgia it holds. So this 5th one will either add insult to injury or somehow, be good? Which I seriously doubt given Pixar’s recent reputation. Disappointing to see this is Pixar’s route, but not surprising
I don’t think this invalidates the first three endings entirely, since one can still watch and enjoy the original 3-movie trilogy and nothing would be lost from leaving out these add-ons, per se. That said, with these additional sequels, I’m worried that it signifies a hard reset to the franchise. Not just gaslighting by Pixar with all these character changes and such. Beautiful as these latest sequels look, I’m still not giving my money or attention outside of watching breakdown reviews like GamingMagic13’s. But that’s just my two cents on the matter
What they need is a soft reboot of sorts... as in, no more focusing on Woody, no more focusing on Buzz, but have a NEW SET OF TOYS to focus on instead of just the old characters. The Toy Story universe has a lot of potential, a lot of ideas they haven't touched yet, like (for example) a human finding out the toys are alive or something. But they bring back Rex, Potato Head, Jessie, Buzz, Woody, Ham, and Slinky for the marketing, before leaving them in the car the entirety of the 4th movie. But of course, this will never happen... they'll never just let the old cast go, because then less people will watch it.
Is Toy Story 5 supposed to be the new Ice Age era of Disney same with Buck Wild or what?
Funny, both Ice Age and Toy Story hit their peak at their 3rd film.
The damage was done when they did 4. This is just embarrassing.
They wanted to make 4 so they could bring Bo Peep back.
Totally agreed. Stories have an ending, and if you respect writing and storytelling, you know when that end comes and when the milking for money starts. Disney has been willingly ignoring that point for a long time now, and it's sad to see them drag such beloved franchises through that just for the sake of money. There's more ideas out there, more concepts to explore, more dreams to realize. They only do that because they know they'll sell, and that's not art. It's sad.
I still haven't seen 4 for the exact reasons stated in this video. Thanks for validating that.
They could've have just ended on number 3 because That felt like a closing chapter of a book or novel the Characters we all know and love Have come along way. And honestly if i were pixer instead of another Toy Story flim I've would've done a Sequel To Brave Continuing Merida's Story.
Brave sucks so hard that it doesn't even deserve a sequel
@secondbestjojo1300 Yeah well you know That's just like your opinion man.
@@isaiahvilla6691 yeah it's my opinion that it's a fact that brave is a dumb baby movie that ruined pixars reputation even harder after cars 2
I hate Toy Story 4 soooo much so I really don’t want 5. 3 should have been the end
TS3 should've ended at 3. When TS4 realized, it undone that emotional ending of Andy passing his legacy to the next child.
Facts
I was so excited to hear when they were coming out with a toy story. 5. I wonder if it's going to be Bonnie's side of the story or a story about Woody and Bo peep and all the toys meet up later. Yeah I am excited if they ever come out with it
Toy Story 5 is just going to be a huge cash grab which I’m gonna be pretty disappointed about 😔 I was perfectly content with the ending of the 3rd movie. 4th movie wasn’t necessarily but I was fine with the story (especially with bringing back bo-peep). So unless they bring back another character in the 5th movie like they did with the 4th, I don’t see a point in the story to continue. They have basically covered everything when it comes to story telling… I don’t know what more they can do. Unless they do a story with the downfall of toys being played with and being replaced by computer games and technology 🤷♀️ that’s the only other thing I can think of.
There’s a 5 now? Big Company losing money is like losing a dime…
But honestly, they’re trying to stay with what they’re known for but times are changing, new messages are needed and the fact that they feel the need to a continue an already completed story is sad. I guess they don’t want to think how to get money, just know they’ll get it with whatever with anything.
We need new executives and ideas.
It's like it's only doing that because it's losing money. It's like Disney trying to get all of us to trust them again. Even if Disney wants us to trust them it'll take so long for us to trust again.
I honestly think if they do the same thing with bonnie that they did with andy, and make her an adult heading off to college, it'll be interesting at least. Or maybe if it was a prequel film before the events of toy story 1 where woody is brand new and the story of how woody discovers hes a toy.
There have been times where endings in a series that weren’t actually endings, just a shift from one era to another. In terms of Toy Story 3, this could’ve been well-utilized so that 4 could truly be the beginning of the Bonnie era while ending Andy’s role.
The big problem I have is that they made 4 into ANOTHER ending, like, immediately. After what happened in that film, I guess it’s safe to say that Bonnie’s role is dead in the water and now Woody and his friends are permanently separated. If 5 tries to make him realize, “Oh, I was wrong. I want to go back and basically undo the entire last movie.” then you’ve easily got a bad movie on your hands right from the get-go.
TS4 didn't need to exist at the first place
Toy Story 3 was the finale for Andy
Toy Story 4 was the finale for Woody
Toy Story 5 will be the finale for Disney's old reputation
Dumbest part is there are other movies they could be making a sequel to in their catalog. And they choose Toy Story, one with already 4 films. How about a Monster's Ink sequel?
Isn't that already Monsters At Work?
Another thing to mention, inside out 2 will be a thing (supposably). It's going to be a sequal that wouldn't make any sense.
This is why I prefer a story or show to end on a good note rather than be dragged on and on. Even something like Dr. Who is starting to suffer from this in the latest seasons.
Toy story 3 was a beautiful conclusion to a beautiful story. It tied up all the loose ends and brought everything to a satisfying conclusion. Anything past 3 has no reason to exist.
The toons and specials were great but another movie was pushing it
@@demosneokleous4877 I would have been fine with a disney plus series or something smaller like that. But a whole new theatrical blockbuster continuation did not need to happen
This should be an actual reboot
They honestly have so much potential with this franchise. I mean it's a world where TOYS ARE AlIVE. Instead of recycling the same characters who reached their personal conclusions in their lives, just switch to brand new characters who have no ties or relations with the old guard.
A brand new plot, with brand new characters, no Woody, Buzz, Jessie, etc.
So much potential,
A Toy who's trying not to get replaced with an identical toy,
A Toy trying to help other toys find their lost owner, but is unwilling to lose another owner due to some personal tragedy,
A Toy caught in the middle between warring factions fighting over territory and resources that are quite literally a childrens playtime. So on and so forth.
i to be honest i'm actually excited to see yet another Toy Story being made i also don't mind if keep making more stuff about Toy Story im willing to go see every single movie tv show & books they'll make ik some people may not want another Toy Story but i actually do
Even tho I hated 4, I'd probably still watch 5 just to see if it fixed everything the 4th movie ruined
