I have an idea. This might just be me, but I think a train yard might be cool. Using a turntable, you could have multiple trains, all with their own sheds, each train could have a different use. Some could be for passengers, some could haul freight. Dunno, just thought it sounded cool.

You should build a mine, logging operation and a big farm. To surface the railroad.
CSX42, if you can, please make the whole Coast Daylight as realistically, with the baggage seat car, some passenger cars, no observation cars, and the end car. That would look nice.
IDEA: Make a midway point station so people can get off in the middle of nowhere, BUT both tracks can use the station and add a railroad crossing so passengers can get to the other platform, also, you could name your stations, so people know where you are. THEN, make a branch line, and add a terminus to that line. IF you could, add a yard line to make it realistic.
You should make an underground station under the big mountain that you were going to build a tunnel in. It would make the whole thing more unique as well as being really epic!!
Honestly, I'm glad you swapped this into creative mode
The grinding process seemed like it was gonna be hell for you and might have taken away from the fun a bit
A survival version feels more like a project for a server then one guy

when i saw how short the line was, i was imagining a small loco pulling passengers in some small carriages back and forth tram style.
what i mean is the loco would decouple from the cars, go around, and pull from the rear end backwards.
The line will not just connect these two. I intend to include one more village to actually make the trip worth using a train :)

I have an idea: Get lots of villages and make each have multiple industries that interconnect, a VERY simple example would be one has an iron mine which makes raw iron, another has a logging company and another has a metal factory thing that takes both of them and makes rails, from there you can branch out infinitely! Giving every place a purpose and then having to juggle a made up schedule would be fun
Immersive engineering isnt about grinding, but it works best on a 24/7 server. The bucket wheel excavator can gather tens of thousands of ores and chunkloads itself.
Seeing how close you are to the water you could make a small harbour or port to pick up cargo or passengers from over seas

Two things I want to mention
1 the retaining wall should realy be very slightly slanted
2 trains always drive on the left

3 if prior to the video u look up the correct terminology that would sort of make it less frustrating for all people who are more advanced
Trains don't always drive on the left, In North America, it is common practice that trains run on the right, the way automobiles do.
I think you should build a railway station on the water and make it aquarium theme.
i can relate that doing stuff in survival is time consuming, but when something is finished it is very satisfying. Hbm's nuclear tech guy myself
IR and Terraforged would work beautifully together.

Modern train stations (manly terminal stations) are older train stations remodeled to fit the larger trains.
You can use big boy or other locomotives to take freight to the other village

@@csx42 ahhh, idk how American railroads work :P. could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure in the UK most double-tracked lines aren't bi-directional on the individual tracks, so it really be like a highway :P

I use the same mod in 1.12.2 and in 1.16.5. Currently building a City and will add trains later. Also, I Highly recommend a traffic mod that’s adds railroad crossings using this mod. It’s traffic control

@@themattharrison it’s an actual mod, but only works in 1.12.2. They are like the real crossings too. I train watch in Southern NY and it’s fun to see both
To add something unique, try making a tunnel through the newly updated mountain terrain. It would be cool to have something done like the Hoosac Tunnel.

Hey, I did the exact thing 2 hrs before this! Except it's not as big, but I added a bar and fish market inside the station, and a horse stable on the side of the tracks.
You should get the traffic control mod
It adds crossings and signs and much more.
Very useful to make your railroad more lively

I would love to see someone make a scale map like railroads online to be able to mess around with trains properly. I’d love to see something like that and people could have a server where there is jobs and you can work for the railroads. Awesome station btw

Have you considered a smaller gauge, like narrow or minecraft? The latter's better for freight, and resembles 16" gauge, while narrow is narrow.

Great video. It's a great idea to do this in creative. You could turn this into a series of just builds, so that you create a "populated" world or something like that, I don't know, you do you. :)

Try getting the trackside decoration mod. It adds loads of cool features like signals, crossings and more
you should do narrow guage so you dont have to build as big of stations and your trains can be longer
If you get the traffic control mod from curse forge you can have railroad crossings
Cool video love the fact that you have teamed up wirh apex and i was about to get one but they are way too expensive
There is a mod pack called playing with trains, it buffs the ore spawn rate, making the grind not bad

I think it's a bit of a pity you axed the survival series, but I totally get if grinding materials isn't for you. I hope you can enjoy this mod in creative though.

What addons for the immersive railroading mod do you use? Also what version of Minecraft are you using because all the addons i find wont work with the versions I'm trying to use.
As this mite be a unpopular opinion I actually welcome this change it can let him add more and better details to things like Bridges or stations or water towers etc
