- Welcome to the latest installation (and the third reboot, but you didn't hear that from me) of my Immersive Railroading Let's Play! Today I take it upon myself to build a roundhouse for some locomotives! Not the most elaborat or detailed build if I'm being perfectly honest but I do think it looks quite nice all things considered! :)

Absolutely gorgeous! Quick tip, csx42: if you want more passenger cars, I'd suggest the American Passenger Pack(made by the same guy responsible for the American Loco Pack), it has a LOT of really good passenger cars. Heck, maybe you could also review them in yet another "showcase?" video(a.k.a a video like the ones first featuring IR and it's trains).

Word of advise; If you want to raise the roof of an underground room in a "DESERT," then try to put down torches under each block of sand, thus resulting the sand 'blocks' breaking into sand 'items' (which is my way of saying torch under sand block, equals sand you can collect). I know because I've done it and trust me it will work. ;D
I musta missed the last episode because DAMN these tracks are fire. You're hella talented. Makes me wanna make AMVs
The S-2 is my favorite locomotive in the mod, so yes, it is a beautiful machine. :)
Something I heavily reccomend if you plan on carving a hole a desert hill again is placing torches on the floor so that the sand just breaks when it falls

Never seen an underground roundhouse! thats so neat! it really fits the feel of one if you do it right.
i love trains personally, and i love minecraft, but when i saw this mod, my mind was blowing up just like my computer trying to run this at Max Graphics

Isn't immersive railroading compatible with 1.15? Also I just noticed, the track is NG! Kinda weird seeing a berk on NG but it fits the feel.

Put world edit in your modpack and you could replace the sand with air and not have to pick anything yo
What mods are you using for all the trains to be in Minecraft?
1.13 is ocean
1.12 was world of color update (added concrete and stuff)
offhand was made to hold any item in 1.9 i think
edit: stone slabs were renamed to smooth stone slabs in 1.13 and also the new stone slabs too
And sea lanterns along with all the stone variants like granite and andesite were added in 1.8

This actullay looks kinda decent given the version you're on. Do you know if the devs of the mod are planning on updating it to 1.19.2? or 1.18.2 at the least?

1.13 was ocean, but the Ocean Monuments existed LONG before Update Aquatic (i'm pretty sure, anyways)

1.17: amethyst and copper, axolotls, glowsquids and goats, moss and powder snow

I really love minecraft immersive railroading. I recently got minecraft on my computer but its getting pretty hard since i have version 1.19.3. Do you have any advice so i can try and get immersive railroading.
Odd question, does this mod have all the bases for the main cast of trains in Thomas? (I.E., Thomas, James, Percy, Gordon, Emily, Henry, Edward, Toby)
Haven't completed the video yet, but the rail placements are nice!
Not sure if you know but if you put a torch under falling sand or gravel it becomes a drop instead of a whole block.
Worldedit would’ve made the sand much easier to work with
Select a big area around the round house, //replace sand prismarine so the sand doesn’t interrupt and you just do the inverse //replace prismarine sand, when youre done building
Fun video though, just think you could avoid the suffering of sand with the worldedit mod lol
Why are you torturing yourself not using Worldedit! You could've using to to replace all of the sand with something like pink wool and then just replace all pink wool with sand later, to save headaches. Another thing you could add is LittleTiles so you can have working doors
What shades do you use? (and is it possible to add shaders with Forge 1.12.2?)
what extra resource packs have you added onto Immersive Railroading for all the extra engines?
hey csx if you ever visit australia you NEED and i mean need to visit the Junee roundhouse you will LOVE IT trust me ive been there and as a train enthusiast myself i recommend you do I mean theres model trains and real trains galore!!!!! search it up and you will see

Hey if u want to get detailed on ur builds try using the mod chisels and bits
To easily excavate sand, why don’t you place temporary rails and run a train straight through the hill? Then rinse and repeat with as many lines as you need :) not sure if it’ll work, but just a thought :D

I realised you are making a gigantic version of a miniture railway
If I could make a suggestion, some chimneys over where the smokestacks of the steam engines would help with the smoke issue hen the S2 was in the roundhouse at the end of the video. It’s also a feature on roundhouses in real life to prevent railroad staff from dying of smoke inhalation while dealing with steam locomotives

When are you planning on making another create mod video?
ur gonna wanna leave a solid amount of space behind the choo choos. this is for working on parts (a steam roundhouse usually have mills, drill presses, lathes, etc) and for a bit of extra storage. also add vents/fan things above where the smoke stacks will sit to avoid asphyxiation. also Standard gauge on what looks like NG hurts me a little but you dont really get many NG locos. in 1.16.5 you get 2 with all the addons

I've actually been to a Roundhouse before, there's one in Spencer Shops in North Carolina a former Southern Railway facility. A round house is a very big building and has lots of little offices and other buildings in the back Long pits in-between the tracks for maintenance. If you get the chance to go take a visit to the North Carolina transportation museum where the Spencer Shops and Roundhouse are located you should it's great and there is an engine you can climb in the cab and sit in.
Save yourself a lot of time, get the world Edit mod
1.12.2 was the World of Color update
You know there is a fill command so you can clear large areas pretty quickly. Right?
Also create mod is good for big sliding doors if you want.
might I suggest the effortless building mod, in addition to having multiple placement modes that make placing large numbers of blocks a little easier, it has a quick replace setting that allows you to replace an existing block with the one you want by just right clicking it.
