theres two ways you can do this, the Immersive Railroading route, wich is the route you chose, or the create mod route, wich does indeed feature the ability to build trains
@@illusionarygull3844do you think Steve can build full scale functional trains and railways? The most he builds is primitive minecart rails and minecarts
Also, another cool train mod is Minecraft Transit Railroad, which with a few other mods and some resource packs, transforms Minecraft into probably one of the best modern railway experiences.
1:05 UMC basically serves as an interface between IR and Minecraft. Long story short, Mojang likes to alter big portions of Minecraft's code between releases, which is a big headache to modders because they sometimes have to rewrite most of their code to make it work on newer versions. Because of that, a lot, if not most mod creators just abandon older versions of their mods because it simply isn't viable to support like 5 different versions of one mod. In comes UMC. Since it only handles the ins and outs between Minecraft and other mods, it's relatively easy to rewrite compared to reworking an entire base mod. And since its outputs are standardised between versions, it allows modders to keep the majority of their code the same between different versions. That's how IR still gets updates on versions as old as 1.7.10 while still updating to newer ones. Also, as a footnote regarding resource packs, nowadays it's best to drop them in your instance's config/immersiverailroading folder. This method automatically loads the packs on startup, and avoids Java's quirks such as memory spikes when applying large packs, which causes the game to unload all applied packs.
Some people title their video as tutorial. But their actual content is "how I made". But your video title is "how I made" but you show the step by step tutorial. Great work.
In Bedrock Edition we have Gibonz but for older version, we have MCA which supports 1.17 and I've created my own railway line that I could play like a train simulator.
Clearly, you might not be aware of the London North eastern railway’s A4 class mallard’s speed record of 126 mph. That still stands after 85 years without being broken.
By the way if you look at the inside there are lights that you can switch on with newer packs/ updated packs, the american steam, diesel and passeneger hasnt updated so no lights for that.
I feel the main point to using IR is its compatibility with the Immersive Engineering suite of mods, hence the name Immersive Railroading. Imo comparing it to Create Trains is like comparing apples and oranges as is comparing IE and Create.
Immersive Railroading has level crossings built in iirc. And there is a mod called LandOfSignals which adds signalling for IR with the ability to link them to a signal box. Also Immersive Vehicles is another addon that is made with IE and IR compatibility which adds lots of cars and also programmable traffic lights.
@@vsetenjoyer For one. Immersive railroading does not have built in crossings. Im talking about the lights gates and bells if your wondering. And immersive vehicles traffic lights are not as easy to use and use timers instead of sensors
It's a shame that you gotta downgrade Minecraft just to make this work, tho the locomotives ( either diesel or steamie), they're always a sight to see, but just to note, the train is what the engine pulls.
One of the mods I have played long ago, played it without shader at the time cause my PC can't handle shaders and also I had to play on like 6 chunks. Btw you forgot the music at 10:25 which is called "The Process" from Lakey Inspired too

Not gonna lie, I giggled a little when you showed how little you appeared to know about the operation of the first steam engine. It's perfectly understandable but kinda amusing?
their aesthetics conflict way too much for it to really be worthwhile… it would probably be more worthwhile to bring some of create functionality to immersive railroading’s api
Go to your web browser, like google, search Java, then download and install Java. Then right click on the mod file and select open with Java. Hope that helps! 😊
Why you dont just use plain create and if you want add create simulated (it needs valkyrien skies what is physics addon) so you canfly off rails and interact with everything on train
Minecraft's website for Java edition (which is better) Or on the Microsoft store. Keep in mind downloading mods can be a bit tricky if you haven't done it before, and mods only work on java.
never understand why trains are not added to basic version of bedrock. why we only have minecarts. its plain stupid. i dont want play cheat java. i want play full vanilla on pc with achievements with no mods and trains in it.
theres two ways you can do this, the Immersive Railroading route, wich is the route you chose, or the create mod route, wich does indeed feature the ability to build trains

The player driving system in it is not the best

@@kreatifchk6354No, you can automate it in IR and Create.

Steam locomotives are made to go that fast and faster, the N&W 611 in the mod is capable of 140 mph or higher
You should add traffic control to your modpack as it adds railroad crossings & traffic lights (though traffic control is 1.12.2 only)

This is the one time that I actually like your videos
this map is featured in pretty much every IR video i've seen, it's incredible
but am i supposed to download it off of mediafire which is the link from planet minecraft he posted in the description please respond if you know
7:02 Steam locomotives DID go fast back then. Some had reached over 100mph!
The "No blocks" mod will go so well with this
you can also use buildcraft and/or galacticraft for the fuel for the trains
You are a genius abseloute genius i was wondering the name of the mods thank you no seriously thank you 🥲
You helped me install this mod, thanks!
Fun video!
try voxels recorce pack it makes the trains more pixely
