    Otis had so much EMOTION in his voice. Everyone has a powerful voice but he had Soul and passion. The type of voice that doesn’t sing for the money but just madly in love with it. Aloha and Respect from Hawaii

    It is obvious that Otis, III loved, adored and respected his dad.
    Sadly, he, his siblings and mom did not have more time with him. Otis, Jr. had so much more to offer them and the music industry! Died so young! God's time is not man's time. Live everyday with love, kindness, respect, integrity and practice "The Golden Rule" (Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you). Live everyday as if it was your last! It could possibly be!

    Otis III , I know a little about how you feel toward living up to your Dad's legacy..my Dad won a bronze star in WWII at the battle of the bulge, and then graduated from Harvard College, avery accomplished man. But what a lucky guy you are to have this unique and amazing artist as your father and I was inspired by your attitude about it. I have no doubt he would have said just try to enjoy what you do and the move people with your music. Having been a huge Otis fan for 50 years and hearing almost nothing about his story or his family for a long time after his passing, I am gratified to see all these interviews and footage of Otis and to finally hear a little of your perspective about him and his greatness.

      Jackie Wilson was the greatest of all time. Hes supposed to say that about his father. But im not ready to put Otis ahead of James Brown Michael Jackson Jackie Wilson or Sam Cooke.
      Weve reached an era where its time to discuss these artists business prowess away from music. Suddenly I have to throw Johnny Taylor's name into the conversation.

    Otis Redding the 3rd You don't have a little bit of Talent You have a lot of talent Your brother Dexter And cousin mark You all did great in the 80s The Reddings released a LP Call The Awakening in the year 1980 And is one of my favorite albums till this day 2021 Unfortunately rap music came along and dominated the music world And made it hard for R&B groups such as the reddings to get radio airplay This is why I don't care too much for American Music Awards or the Grammys as they push You have to be this wild and crazy rapper Or pop singer To be heard or receive an award And if a movie is in the making you should get the part Otis Redding lll Like you said you have the name and I'm telling you you have the talent

    • @Kindred04
      @Kindred04 2 года назад

      I love All Green, but he's not a "god" compared to Mr. Redding. You're also comparing someone who has been around for decades and has been making music for basically a lifetime to someone who died at 26. We were only fortunate enough to have Otis around for a few years, and therefore his catalog of music is limited. If he had lived and continued to write and sing, I don't think you would so easily place Al Green above him. There's just something about Mr. Redding's voice and the pure soul that he put into every song.

    • @godwantsplastic
      @godwantsplastic 2 года назад

      @@Kindred04 it’s my subjective opinion. I don’t believe in gods. It’s just figurative language. Im not measuring catalogues I’m comparing them at their best.
