As someone gearing up to start vending at shows, I love seeing the transparency in this! Everything from "oh man we have to rent cases" to "this is what sells and what's not and why". It makes it feel incredibly doable even for an average collector like myself.
that part! it really is doable for most folks, especially if you keep an open mind to feedback and ask a lot of questions. I have been vending for a couple years now and I still learn something new each time. :-)
10:36 as a vendor and having vended myself, the hard part about conventions is not selling, it’s acquiring product to sell later. The huge money is made in getting good deals on inventory 🙌
Just did a show this weekend in Nashville. I did about $1,000 in sales, but picked up $4,000 of new inventory (market value) for $2390. Deals on deals all day from people bringing their stuff up to you.
average i see you everywhere
Hey that´s me buying the Unified Minds booster box from you @6:17 Thank you for signing it too!
I’ve watched a decent amount of your videos and I’ve always had the criticism that a lot of your excitement didn’t seem genuine, but you seemed genuinely excited and happy to be at Card Party and that was really cool to see. Nice video + followed 😊
Yo it’s John thanks a ton for buying my evolving skies boxes and all those alt arts it was amazing meeting you bro
2:30 dude in the corner side eyeing you both 😂😂
I was looking for a comment that said that 😂

Thank you very much for your kindness! We had a great time with that booster pack!
i’ve done over 20 vending shows and it’s exhausting every time. Takes high organization and energy. Most people the first time are unprepared with all the side things that are helpful to have. After the cost of the table space and taxes profit margins are usually pretty slim. Buying to resale now days in pokemon is not easy and it’s a grind no matter what way you sell. Depending on the show and the turn out it can be worth it if you’re mainly just trying to move the huge inventory, a big pro is no shipping. but trying to travel with high end slabs and buy hotel and rental car etc adds up. also now days many buyers are looking for discounted deals of current low market. every selling avenue has its pros and cons
I'm not sure most people are expecting below market average prices. I think people buying cards in person anywhere, at a shop, convention, etc. would expect to pay a bit more for the convenience and understanding of the vendor trying to not lose all his money lol. At least that has been my experience recently this year.
@@Infamous159 i think it's becoming more prevelant for folks to ask for discount, like "whats the best you can do on this?" and try to negotiate.. most people are cheap and frugile wanting a deal. at the end of the day it's how each vendor prices and works with their customers, it's common in our culture here to haggle a little or have back and fourth to reach agreements, or maybe coin flip lol
@@Churmander Yeah it's common to haggle in all hobbies where you are buying collectibles. Trading cards has always been paired with haggling since the early days of trading with your friends in person before the internet. Of course there are those who don't haggle and only sell based on the market price or whatever price they put on the product, which is perfectly fine if that's what they want to do.
Hey our binder made the video!!
Hey Brandon Well Done Mate I'm Super Proud Of You I've Been Following Your Journey From When You Posted Your First Episode Of Pokémon Go And Man You Have Done So Well For Your Self And Inspired Me To Start My Own Channel! Keep Up The Great Work.
Convention looks so much fun.
I guess you can chalk the pricing error mistake down to a learning process.
Vending is so fun. First time doing anything is always a bit scary but seems you did well :-) I love interacting with people face to face.
I love the way you take care of your whole team as well ❤
This content is very fun to watch, I love this more than pack openings. Amazing content and hope there is more content like this. It is just amazing to see all these interactions with the community.
Have you ever drawn a charizard onto a card again as an autograph? 😂
Thank you for being my next-door vending buddies! Cory was totally awesome! Great video, much love.
W for showing how much u made always been curious how much vendors made
Was great to meet you at Card Party! Keep up the content, and hope the crew liked the Norwegian chocolate -Sivert ☺️
Yooo! So fun to see you vending in this events and bringing niche japanese vintage packs, Maybe more japanese vintage packs and modern japanese packs for those who want to experience those.
At 14:35. My son PokeLucas956 is asleep but he’s gonna flip in the morning when I show him.
Never heard of this channel and will forget about it to save mankind 😂😂 Cory seems to like 🤔
18:33 my stomach and hands 😂 with the belly drumroll
You should do a challenge when you go to a convention with nothing but a table and you have to go buy your whole stock
lol. You want him to go broke for a challenge. Riggghhttttt.
7:13 man talked with a vendor legend XD
did they provide the card cases to display your cards? or did you buy it?
This is great Brandon. I really enjoyed this video a lot. This video format is great and informative. I appreciate it!
i love your content bro i hope you make it far in youtube!
Awesome video! Those booster boxes at the end of the video must have cost a pretty penny lol.
How much do base set unlimited blisters go for typically? I was able to get one
Kelvin's aerodactyl collection is my dream 15:22
13:30 damnnnn dude
Always wondered how the cases worked. You rent them. Of course 😂
What kind of camera do you use?
Man I’ve always wanted to go to a Pokémon card convention. Maybe this year! 🤞
Do you have the Pikachu Poncho Pokémon card box available on your online shop?
dude said "yea i know what i can sell stuff for so that helps me buy and make a decent margin" meanwhile selling everything for a huge loss.. that sucks man lol
That's the first thing I said when I got to that part of the video. I'm sure Brandon knows more than me about TCG pricing but 4,300 for a bunch of ungraded cards sounds off. Even though they are alt artworks, IRs, and SIRs I still question that evaluation.
Good bro!! Awesome experience, keep it up the good work, blessings!
13:12 How you rate before and after ?
what % do you typically offer when buying collections?
corey with the fresh cut flowers x knocked loose hoodie is sick, IYKYK type hoodie
Dude at 2:50 into the video putting his trap in a freaking claw grip lol
Yoooo mystic fammm it’s PokeMook and I was wondering where you got your acrylic cases for the booster packs?! Which ones do you guys use!?
24:24 them singles prices are mad disrespectful to the Pokémon community everything is marked way up
This video may have been published today, but this actual event took place 3 weeks ago. Prices on alt arts have actually plummeted since then. Prices were marked up slightly high, but wasn’t too bad for 3 weeks ago.
@@ericle6821 I follow the market closely one example is the espeon vmax alt he had listed for 400 it has never been 400 another is the blaziken is listed at 425 and sells. Around 350
Crazy prices
nah I love Cory's sweatshirt. KLMF
Brandon…need to look into going to the NSCC in Cleveland July 24-28. The biggest convention in the world and a lot of Pokémon not just sports.
I'll have to watch this one later tonight. Gotta get ready for work now.
Shoutout to Corey. Legendary stuff. 🎉
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 not a bad set up
I feel so bad for Corey having to use that price gun, same one I used to use in retail, horrible stuff
Yes Mystic, cash is very cool. Never forget it.
Do you have an online store? I haven’t had any Pokémon Cards since Junior High back in the 2000 era.. LOL..
We stream on whatnot and TikTok! Just search for mystic rips
mystic did you meet one of my friends that asked you to sign one of the card party jerseys and a sudowoodo? the card was for me cuz i couldnt make it this year im hoping to go next year
Your both was the best!
Any chance you’ll be at the Pasadena convention on 9/7 and 9/8?
THATS MY BOI NOAH REED!!! 18:49
Next time use a singles binders that will help and modern pack single like 3 for $12
Hope I misheard or it wasn't intended to come out this way but when you are talking about buying and trading from other people you mention it's fun because you know what sells and the prices different products go for so you can buy a $100 product and be confident in flipping it for $150.
Personally I find this mindset a bit underhanded and crappy, especially at conventions and places where the whole point is to buy, trade, and sell products in person. I'd much rather price it in the middle so the seller gets more than they initially thought the product was worth and I still am able to make a profit after flipping it. Buying something low while knowing it could be sold for a lot more later, but not saying anything so you can maximize profits on the resell is so slimy, especially when you want to make a good community of buyers and sellers.
Again I hope I misheard your intention in mentioning this and saying arbitrary money values.
card shows never supply any card case displays?
Dude I’m so happy for you
You going to collect-a-con in chicago?
While still losing money!!
Dude dropped $4,300 dam
good shit brandon
Probably walked by ya guys SO many times and being new to meeting so many people, just didnt know lol
That must have been a bit stressful
could have just slapped a new price over the old one hah
What’s good mystic?!
Great location right by the doors!
Cash is king as they say!
this is what it's all about.
I am the Lyrical Beast. Call me the Microphone Fiend
🎉
Nice video mystic :)
islandgrown cameo? Lets goooo
Lincoln thx for putting me on the video
Lincoln here 😂
I wish I could get Pokémon but my parents never let me get anything but I really want a a full binder of Pikachu
If you don't use cash bro, your helping them take it away from us that much easier. Everyone should use cash atleast once a week and make it a habit. Says Catherine Austin Fitz. We can't let this happen. Digital currency=you being told how to spend your money, and goodbye to savings.
I’d lose my mind to work for a Pokémon content creator like RealBreakingNate or DeepPocketMonster
2:23 dude inna back acting like he never seen a camera lmao. staring like a mf
Bro this looks so fun❤️❤️❤️
it was so hype he lost his voice
Lol someone definitely got fired
Love this content man!!!!❤
Awesome show 🔥
Tom hung over was 😂
Your prices are slightly high for sure
Yea def working on that, we brought them down each day
@@BrandonMartyn mainly at a place like that as a vendor. Those prices will sell all day online so I understand it being your first time as a vendor
I can see COOP
Cash is digital now (millennial)😂😂😂😂
Just gonna throw this out there. Not trying to be a hater but you stated that you sell everything at market value at 22:20, but then at 22:15, most of the alt arts you have listed are way above market??? Where's the transparency in that? I understand that you may be pricing off of multiple sources, but I still find it to be a bit ridiculous, unless people kept low balling you then I understand. Maybe be firm on just actual market price instead of marking up prices to sell at actual market price??? Not trying to be a Karen, but just striving for transparency to build a more transparent hobby when it comes to selling lol.
I noticed that too. Also it might have been me but I thought it was slimy to say he'd buy product from someone for $100 when he knows he can upsell it for $150. That's not being much of a good community member when you are constantly looking to buy product that is underpriced. Haggling is at the foundation of this hobby so meeting somewhere in the middle sounds fair.
if u like pokemon you should try pokemon go
I’ve heard about it
@@BrandonMartynbahahahah 😂 ain’t no way
amazing video
@11:05 leg day was skipped 100 percent
Found u!
Worst part about first time vending?
Maybe bringing brick products? Wasted suitcase space on items that didn’t sell.
