I think most football fans and professionals would agree with Namath like i am a fins fan but Namath is revered and nothing he said was wrong. "Not helping the cause" Bro he never had to deal with that lvl of heartache. He went to university of CAL the same state with the 49ers. He grew up rooting for the 49ers and he saw their dynasty like bro. As stated I am not even a jets fan and I am pissed off him for saying something like that and especially to Namath of all people.
Rodgers is 100% right. All you ever hear about New York teams is “you know that New York media is brutal.” What good is going to come of constantly ranting about them? No possible way he gets confidence that way.
Oh well, boo hoo! He’s playing horrific and about to cost people jobs. There’s no more “building confidence” it’s his 3rd year in the league! Enough is enough, time to move on and stop coddling.
Agreed to an extent. The frustration is not something Rodgers has ever experienced in his life. I'm basically the same age. He probably grew up a 49er fan in the 80s-90s when they were great. In Green Bay he could tell people to relax because he was never gone for the season. At this point I don't think him being in the building is going to help Zach, we don't need him here until he can play. They can Zoom and discuss the playbook. More important that he heals than anything for the Jets.
It's pretty ridiculous to get mad at Rodgers for not saying "Yeah Zach f^#$in sucks lmaooo". If Joe Namath was still on the roster I like to think he'd refrain from trashing his own teammate as well.
@@EagleFang86what you say has some merit. But Jets fans' attitudes do totally suck. Are there reasons to be disappointed? Of course, Jets fans thought they were going to have a first ballot hall of fame QB to watch this year. But no matter how crappy Wilson is, until there is a viable alternative, unabashed negativity isn't going to help Wilson play any better, is it? Jets fans are used to losing, and having crappy teams, should still show support for your guys. And if you don't you are crap fans. Plain and simple. Been watching and cheering on the Packers since the early 80s. Endless crap teams until Farve. Still wore the green and gold proudly. Still cheered them on and didn't endlessly talk chit about them, or their, "lesser," players/performances. Being a truly great fan of a sports team, means being there always, even when its hard to watch. Didn't realize that people in one of the biggest markets in the world, were so fair weather. Thought they were tougher than that.
I'm outside of the east coast media market, and it always baffles me to peer in and see local media who consistently rip their teams. Putting extra baggage on your team in the form of criticism, complaints, expectations, etc. is only self-defeating in the long run. Staff need a minimal safety net that they can screw up then recover, they need time to learn, and they need understanding in the process. If you get none of that, it is an extra mental burden and helps to create a self-perpetuating cycle of failure.
I know of a QB who was in Green Bay who won a SB after Farve was done…I think he plays for the Jets now. I think that same QB won that SB more recently than the Jets won their last one? You lost Rodgers for the season and pinned all your hopes on him get over it.
@@njz6917 I guess that’s the difference, there’s a whole lot of people out here that think finding a few positive things to say is not bullshit. But those are the same folks who wouldn’t think you could fix the jets with one player (TBH those were the BS stories on the new Jets messiah )
@@bondson0094 Our OL is questionable, but against the Pats it was very clear that ZW is a big problem. Sacking himself. Holding the ball like it's the last potato in fucking Ireland... it's just not good
And the reason Aaron would be having a really bad season is the obvious: the Jets’ OL is mediocre. At any level of football it’s all about the line scrimmage.
Rich is not typical of the New York fan base. Rich is very pro player and very well intentioned. Rodgers is 100% right on this. Telling Zach how much he sucks will not make him better. He won't be able to flip a switch like, "oh yeah, I just have to not suck, thanks guys". As much as people think Rodgers is speaking to Namath, he is really speaking to Zach.
The New York media needs to get over itself. What Aaron said was 100% spot on. You think the kid doesn’t know he’s sucking?? What does it do for him for a team legend to flame him too?
He didn't just go after Wilson. He torched the entire idiotic organization and he was 100% right. The major problem is the issue starts at the top with the owner, and the Johnson family isn't selling this team any time soon.
As a 40 year fan of the Broncos, I think I've figured out why New York teams (outside the hockey teams) can't have nice things. The brutal fan base and media is why. I remember the 15 years between Elway and Manning (along with the 20+ starting quarterbacks AND Tim Tebow), along with the past 6 years since Manning. We didn't start demanding heads on pikes. The fan base trusted Elway to find us our next QB. We also didn't let our greatest QB ever retire a Los Angeles Ram, the way the New York Jets allowed Namath to do. Even Peyton is beloved in Denver, despite the fact that we only had him for four years.
New York is huge. It's like the internet. All types of people are here and as such it seems like every fan is brutal. That said how much Zach Wilson do we need before they realize he's done? People say NY is tough but we're the same ones that cheered for Chris streveler when he entered a game. We cheered for Mike white. We never have booed Garret Wilson or breece hall. Are we impatient or just tired of not making the playoffs longer than any football team? We didn't boo Zach year one but once the defense showed it was super bowl caliber we wanted the best option. Broncos fans know, they got fed up of Hackett and Russell after 1 year
@@danielmejorado6098 what is Rodgers doing for us? All he's done so far is get Cobb more playing time than hardman since Cobb wouldn't even be here without Rodgers. Aaron has done nothing for the jets and their fans so far. Not gonna lick his boots just cause he's great
I'm not a steelers fan but what I like about those fans is when the STeelers are losing they are still cheering the team on. It helps when the fans maybe disappointed but supporting someone while their down only helps.
I mean I get 54 years of terrible football team but chill this is the result of rodgers your franchise savior going down only 4 plays in. Wanna know why because all four plays rodgers was running for his life. How do you expect a young quarterback who was supposed to sit and learn start week one behind that terrible line that got rodgers killed. It’s early and if you fix that line then maybe just maybe you see an improved Zach Wilson.
This is why I can't stand Noo Yawk and why as a player I'd never play in that market. The fan base. I've never seen such a culture where everybody hates everybody, and anything less than absolute perfection or a spotless standard they expect everyone else to live up to but not themselves, is unacceptable and they're ready to burn everything down to the ground. You know what? The energy you put out is the energy you're gonna get back, and I'm looking at the Jets fan base and I'm thinking karma's a bitch. They've waited a long time to get a respectable franchise and win a Super Bowl; but pointing your ire at Rodgers for having the audacity to snap an Achilles and go to rehab yet STILL try to reset the culture among not only the players but the fans who watch them, is gonna result in what you're getting now -- which is a losing team at war with each other and with the fans. Frankly if I were Zach Wilson I'd _welcome_ the chance to get the hell out of NY and go anywhere that's willing to help me develop so I've got a future. NYC wants it all, they want it now, and they want it for nothing. Well boo hoo. You go to war with the army you _have,_ not the army you _want;_ and unless you want to buy the team and take over as GM you're gonna have to leave it to Saleh to make lemonade outta lemons. Coz that's the reality.
Because the Bears are gonna get Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr next year and we're going to have our thumb up our asses with a 41 year old QB next year.
Would love to see Wilson take first snap in shotgun, turn around, run backwards, and then Punt the ball into the stands. Then do some Jack McDowell to the crowd and walk into the locker room.
Not a Jets fan or a Jets hater, I have no dog in this fight. Right now, I bet that fans who remember him would sell their soul to have Ken O'Brien under center.
Maybe the Jets coaching staff and front office can make an offer to Nick Sirianni for 1 page of his best running plays. They can't seem to find anything to take pressure off of their young QB in their own playbook.
Man, I just can't believe the pressure put on this kid. "hey kid, we're gonna put you against NFL defenses with the most impotent offensive game plan in the league, KNOWING that you're struggling, and knowing that those defenses are sharpening their teeth for you, and we're gonna say "good luck, you're on your own." I can't help but think that if Nick Sirianni was giving Jalen Hurts crappy play calls every down and he was struggling, that someone in Philly would call out Nick Sirianni for bad coaching. Why isn't that happening here to Robert Saleh?
Because Zach Wilson is not a rookie and he looks absolutely lost out there. He self sacked, he can't hit a wide open receiver and Saleh is gonna get fired at the end of the year anyway. Unless the game plan was to just not have him be QB and just hand it off, he's a horrible QB.
Everything is poor Zack..how about saying the truth and the Obvious he is not capable of performing at the NFL level. Plays alls did not make him stay in the end zone for what seemed like 6 seconds and get a safety which i saw coming a mile away..because he has zero pocket presence...play calling does not explain sacking himself because he felt he might get tackled...or waiting to pull the trigger when receivers are wide open..he is TERRIBLE!
Rich i have fully embraced your feelings about this over 54 years mostly painful seasons never felt someones pain like ours. We suffer in a brotherhood of pain and thank you for not giving up on the Jets.
Rodgers is absolutely right, not saying Zach is playing amazing but their play calling & offensive game plan hasn’t been doing him any favors, the defense is doing it’s job but every defense breaks at some point if the offense can’t get a couple of first downs at least lol
Well, Rodgers is just being diplomatic and playing what cards has left carefully. He knows his career is already over unless he gets the Jets to wait for his (?) comeback. Thus he is being positive and no blasting anybody in public. But I bet behind closed doors Rodgers is already demanding to get rid off the entire OL for starters.
He shouldn't have come for Namath. Namath is a legend. He could have said everything he said and left the former players and fanbase out of it. Rogers really doesn't understand how to put things. There's a much better way of saying what he wanted and basically appealing for patience rather than coming off like he was telling everyone what to do and how to think. I also think Rich made a good point, in that if he had a message for the team (as their captain) he could have delivered it in person or appeared via zoom at one of the team meetings.
@@mjamitche5245 Namath drunkenly ran his mouth. Namath being a legend does not give him a free pass to drunkenly rant without getting called on it. It is hilarious watching Jets fans defend a drunk slurring his words.

It's a shame what the Jets players have to go through. Rogers is 100% right. All the players plus the QB are doing their best. The system was built for AR too and listen, he did fail to make easy completions on a handful of plays, but pats were covering well, plus Jets are holding him back to not turn the ball over. You cant play conservative like that unless you are huge up front and can run the ball. Jets don't have a good run blocking line and depend on cook and hall to use their speed. The field conditions slowed those guys down big time vs. Pats. When good D's know what's coming, you get what we saw the last 2 weeks. Jets need a smart game plan to let this kid execute. They have to get 1st downs... every damn first down they go backwards!!! The D knows what coming! Have to use that and be move deceptive!
When Robert Griffin III came into the league, Shannahan did absolutely everything to make him succeed by taking the pressure OFF of him! They went to the playoffs that year.
I don’t blame Rodgers for the view that he has. He’s right as I feel the media and everything else is destroying Zach’s confidence. The kid is 23 years old! Any amount of dogpiling and negative feedback he gets it is going to destroy him more so imagine most regular people. They could help him with a improved oline, better play calling, better coaching he just needs a new everything at this point because his confidence isn’t high right now
You know what’s awesome? The fact that Aaron don’t give a damn and speaks his mind. You know what NY fans will love? A QB that is as good as Aaron. So maybe NY fans and Rich Eisen should just sit back and appreciate the fact that Aaron signed with them. Aaron isn’t wrong. Former players shouldn’t throw current players under the bus. Supposed to be there for them. You don’t see Peyton manning trashing Indy QB’s
I remember when these same type of fans in New England were worried when Tom Brady only threw 3 TDs in games and they were freaking out because he was too old and past his prime fan bases are inherently stupid. He led them to how many Super Bowl wins, the absurdity of fan bases is legendary & as soon as the teams start winning all is forgiven, so it really doesn't matter. Fan bases are not winning or losing games for their teams. Some of the most memorable teams in the history of sports were LOSERS. It won't always be like that, soak up the pain while you can it will make winning all the more amazing.
I think Aaron Rodgers is the perfect person to tell New York as well as all other football fans to simply calm down when things like this happen. Teams like the Jets have even less of an excuse because you’re used to disappointment so what’s a few more weeks or even another year. Just breathe… If you don’t like this year‘s performance, what are you going to do? Watch soccer??? Good or bad it’s the only game in town.
What's another year? Idk, maybe some odd hundred (or thousands?) of Jets fans dying without ever seeing their team compete in a SB... You have to be at least 54 years old to have been alive when the Jets last went to the SB. And you'd have to be pushing senior citizen status to be old enough to even remember it. Four generations of people have come since the Jets have went to the SB. The Jets fan base has EVERY reason to be upset.
@@moonlitegramwell given the fact that the team, offense, gameplan, and just about everything else was built around Aaron and for Aaron, seems to me that if you take Aaron off the team, that team would suck and that’s what’s happening. If a person’s biggest worry is not seeing a Super Bowl played by there team before death then that’s just a sad miserable loser of a human.
Joe Willie led the Jets to a chip (the only one in team history) and has a gold jacket. He has remained a fan of the Jets long after he retired. He can say whatever he wants. He has more than earned that. Rogers has had four plays in his Jets career. Great future HOF'er, but in Jet land he's no Broadway Joe. And Jet fans HAVE to live in the past because since 1969 it's been awful except for a few years with Klecko, Gastineau and Parcells.
Rodgers is 100% right relax we're 3 games in you could tell from the first game media and many fans were ready to boo and call for Wilson's head the first mistake or bad game he had this season
I have such respect and sympathy (and a small amount of muffled laughter) for Rich because he is such an unconditionally devoted and loyal Jets fan, and he embodies the longstanding suffering that Jets fans have endured so completely. Jets fans are like the Jews or the Palestinians or the Kurds or the Basques of the football world...wandering around in the desert or hills or wilderness for years and years and years without a home (metaphor for victory...or basically any kind of joy).
As a Jets fan for 28 years Aaron Rodgers is completely correct. No new QB will get us out of this problem this year. All Jets media and fans are doing is pouring salt is a wound.
What Namath is saying is his opinion on what to do. We have seen what happened in the two games after Rodgers went down. Namath was asked a question what he would do now. Leaders are asked to make tough decisions in a crisis. It is Rodgers opinion that we relax and continue the course. That inactivity is a decision. Calling it not helping the cause is insanity. The inactivity is also not helping the cause. How many more games do you need to see Zach play? What coaching is Rodgers doing with Zach in California? Zoom meetings? Watching film? What is Rodgers doing helping the cause? Criticising other people's opinions is not helping the cause. Rodgers just came to Jets. He never experienced Zach last year and now in California. That is not helping the cause. What is Rodgers doing now in helping the cause?
I am really hoping the Jets turn it around this year. Not because I'm a Jets fan, but I can't watch them take another can't-miss USC quarterback in the first round and destroy them so thoroughly they never play well again.
He’s 100% right. As a fan base you think the negativity is going to magically make Zach figure it out and feel support and confidence? They said they want to run with him. Why not show support for the best outcome possible instead of treating the kid down in a situation WE put him in her again.
I think a world where Rodgers keeps his mouth shut would be a very nice one, but I do have a different takeaway. It seems like he was not a fan of how Favre treated him as a young QB in the league. It appears he was a good mentor and teammate to Jordan Love, who is now looking quite solid. I'm guessing Rodgers is already fond of Zach Wilson and is trying to do what he can to prop up the kid. So his heart probably is in the right place. But he's still the guy who said he was "immunized" and thinks camping is called a "darkness retreat"
Cool story but Rodgers isn’t wrong - as a life long Jets fan I completely agree with him - also this whole “New Yorkers don’t relax” is exactly why I moved out of there lol - I remember visiting recently and thinking - good god I can’t imagine living here and dealing with this 24/7 - if not relaxing is such a successful strategy then why hasn’t it worked here? It hasn’t….. maybe they should listen to Rodgers
Exactly, also us native new yorkers-who live in upper and lower manhattan are pretty chill. The bridge and tunnel crowd are psycho. Maybe they need to WFH and stop commuting or going to games
You know what else isn’t helping the cause? Having Wilson be your QB1 for the rest of the season. Just settling for mediocrity this season until next year & who even knows if Aaron will be the same after that injury especially at his age.
Who else are you going to get? There isn't anyone. It is hilarious that Jets fans think thiings will magically get better if they just bench Wilson when there ISN'T ANYONE ELSE. THere isn't a single QB out there who is going to make things better this season and no the Vikings are not trading Kirk Cousins so stop with that one.

Nobody said that Mr. Self-Promotion didn't have the "absolute right to express his opinion." All Rodgers said was his doing that in that way wasn't helpful, which is totally true.
I agree with Namath. I also think Rodgers is doing the best he can do. Rodgers is laying on a bed when he could be leading the team, but he can't. He needs to be with the team and provide support to whoever is replacing him because that is his duty. It is not on Rodgers to decide who plays and who doesn't. The best thing he can do is to show he is behind the team, everyone that stands on the field, whoever they might be. Do not expect Rodgers to talk trash on any teammate under the circumstances.
Can't believe they let Mike White go, the guy who threw for 405 yards against the Bengals. He would've easily beat the Patriots and kept the team afloat.
You nailed it! He played well against Buffalo too. He had earned their #1 spot (pre AR) they should have made him the starter and kept that AR money with that D. As a Bills fan, I kept asking all off season, "what happened to Mike White?"

Love Rich, and appreciate this measured response. But Brockman can take a flying you-know-what. I don't know if he was ever a successful athlete or not, but where Rodgers was coming from was, if one is going to succeed, THIS is the mindset one has to have. Whether one wants to use the word "manifest" or not, if one is to succeed, you DO have to first believe that you can. You need to forget about the past, and believe that you can, or you ain't going to. It's quite likely, Wilson isn't too confident right now, so making him even less-so is surely "not helping".

I don't blame Rodgers for his view, he's a team leader. But I strongly agree with Namath. Saleh has to bench Zach just like Tomlinson benched Trubisky, enough is enough.
Trubisky has better numbers than Fields. 😂🤦🏿♂️. That's how bad Fields is.
Rodgers has a lot of problems with free speech.
Rich. Stay the course. Rogers is delusional. Namath is right. Z Wilson is no good and should be benched. Jets should try to get Cousins. Let's go Jets
At least trubuskey could play
Rodgers is 100% right. All you ever hear about New York teams is “you know that New York media is brutal.” What good is going to come of constantly ranting about them? No possible way he gets confidence that way.
Couldn't agree more
Wish someone would say the same abt the cowboys
You're really going to blame the fans for not being positive about an organization that has been terrible since their douchebag owner bought the team?
Kinda what I was thinking.
Thanks for putting this to words.
Classic jets fans
If Joe Namath was on the Jets roster they'd have a better chance to win games than keeping Zach out there!
True, but Rodgers doesn't have to say anything.
So what you’re saying is it may be easier for a player to feel comfortable and develop in a remote backwater place like Green Bay. 🤔 sounds right
I know of a QB who was in Green Bay who won a SB after Farve was done…I think he plays for the Jets now.
Aaron would be having a really bad season if he was playing. The Jets need a lot of help…it’s not just Zach’s play.
its Zack's play...in this dimension and reality Zack is horrible.
@@bondson0094 Our OL is questionable, but against the Pats it was very clear that ZW is a big problem. Sacking himself. Holding the ball like it's the last potato in fucking Ireland... it's just not good
Haha last potato in Ireland. Def gonna use that now
@@DollarJudo That last potato comment is the best thing I've read on youtube in a loong time. Well done! 🍀
And the reason Aaron would be having a really bad season is the obvious: the Jets’ OL is mediocre. At any level of football it’s all about the line scrimmage.
Jet Drama. It's outstanding! 😅 Zach Wilson need to saunter into MetLife Stadium in a fur coat.
Don't worry about the kid. He's made a pot of gold for absolutely nothing.
They're insufferable pricks. Hope the best for Rodgers, but the fan base is trash.
Shut up.
Broncos fans know, they got fed up of Hackett and Russell after 1 year
What are New Yorkers doing for Rodgers that they have the audacity to make demands off him at this point?
@@danielmejorado6098 what is Rodgers doing for us? All he's done so far is get Cobb more playing time than hardman since Cobb wouldn't even be here without Rodgers. Aaron has done nothing for the jets and their fans so far. Not gonna lick his boots just cause he's great
Have we maybe considered that Wilson is struggling because he has a bottom 5 O-line? Its the main reason Rodgers is even out right now.
I'm not a steelers fan but what I like about those fans is when the STeelers are losing they are still cheering the team on. It helps when the fans maybe disappointed but supporting someone while their down only helps.
Exactly...what's the point of piling on them non stop...it only makes the situation worse
Rich's show is effectively must-watch TV right now with these daily Jet's breakdowns. The rest of the season is going to be fantastic
I look forward to watching him poetically dismantle the absolute fisting we are about to be held down and forced to take this coming sunday :P
I am genuinely sad for the Jets and all of us football fans. I REALLY wanted to see this. Hard knocks had me hyped.
Well said.
Agreed, NYJ fans are the biggest bunch of whining pussies on the planet! If I'm Wilson I'm requesting a trade ASAP!!
As a Jet fan I've said for a long time, "we get the play we deserve".
Rich ia committed to giving a season-long eulogy.
Thought I was freaking out as a Bears fan but Jets fans make me feel sane in comparison.
Duh Bears, duh.
Because the Bears are gonna get Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr next year and we're going to have our thumb up our asses with a 41 year old QB next year.
Hello I am from Chicago and of course a Bears 🐻 fan...they are going through the same thing we are going through here in Chicago
Come on. Lol
The hype and expectation for the Bears was nowhere near the Rodgers/Jets hype. The Bears have a long way to go - the Jets were reasonably close.
Would love to see Wilson take first snap in shotgun, turn around, run backwards, and then Punt the ball into the stands. Then do some Jack McDowell to the crowd and walk into the locker room.
Agreed. Show those fans that they are number one!
Regardless what happens this year, the Jets need to fix that offensive line before Rodgers comes back
Jets fan here--his comments landed fine with me. What is he supposed to say "yeah Zach shouldn't ever suit up again for the Jets" like cmon
What the Jets wouldn't give right now for Ken O'Brien.
My dads been here in California for 40 years and he still cannot shake the effects of the east coast and relax…
The jets need to calm the eff down. They don't have a qb and they aren't gonna have one this year. Sucks to suck. Hope for next year.
"it's not just 3 weeks...it's after 54 years..." 😂
this is lowkey why i didn't want him here, he's completely out of touch lol
He brought in Boyle FFS.
Not a Jets fan or a Jets hater, I have no dog in this fight. Right now, I bet that fans who remember him would sell their soul to have Ken O'Brien under center.
Ken O'Brien was a very good NY Jets QB. Won as many Super Bowls as Dan Marino. 😜🤪😆
Maybe the Jets coaching staff and front office can make an offer to Nick Sirianni for 1 page of his best running plays. They can't seem to find anything to take pressure off of their young QB in their own playbook.
1st the plays can’t help you if you don’t have a great o line 🤷🏽♂️
Well if the Jets had a competent QB maybe opposing defenses wouldn't key on the run?
That 2nd rounder the Packers are getting is probably gonna be a top 35 pick
Man, I just can't believe the pressure put on this kid. "hey kid, we're gonna put you against NFL defenses with the most impotent offensive game plan in the league, KNOWING that you're struggling, and knowing that those defenses are sharpening their teeth for you, and we're gonna say "good luck, you're on your own."
I can't help but think that if Nick Sirianni was giving Jalen Hurts crappy play calls every down and he was struggling, that someone in Philly would call out Nick Sirianni for bad coaching.
Except he basically blasted Namath, which is fine becuase Namath is a drunk and a clown.
Joe Namath is the first football player that I can remember. Always my hero and will always support.
Also the single most overrated bum in the history of the league. A drunk perverted creep with pedestrian stats is a pretty piss poor choice of a hero not gonna lie
And my first football hero was Johnny Unitas. And that pantyhose-wearing, fur-coated, overrated, self-promoting, arrogant Jet horndog drunk can go to hell...
It's a shame what the Jets players have to go through. Rogers is 100% right. All the players plus the QB are doing their best. Wilson is their best chance to compete right now- my issue is with the offensive play calling and prep. I think the Jets can play shockingly better against KC, but only with the right game plan. Good luck
Sam Darnold is just shaking his head right now. You NEVER gave that guy a chance. Wilson is terrible and he is not going to get any better.
@@dkgdkg2178 he helped beat Buffalo. The Cowboys had the right game plan and he had no time vs boys, and we know how it is playing against Bill and his D in the rain. We can debate a lot of things, but one thing we can all agree on is that Aaron Rodgers absolutely loves the sound of his own voice.
When Robert Griffin III came into the league, Shannahan did absolutely everything to make him succeed by taking the pressure OFF of him! They went to the playoffs that year.
Didn't Shanahan also play him hurt and basically derailed his career? Not the best example there buddy.

Namath had more interceptions than touchdowns. We’ve had a ton of joe caliber players 🤣
Jerricho Cotchery reference made me snort out loud.
Strictly speaking, there is another game in town. It's just not that much better.

As a Browns fan our mantra has always been "wait until next year." Still, we loved to watch them good/bad.

I love Rich. He's been a real one. Even if it's rumors, he does it tastefully. I think his take on AR and NY fans connect - that's a good take
Joe Willie led the Jets to a chip (the only one in team history) and has a gold jacket.
ROdgers has just as many SUper Bowls and will have his own gold jacket. He call tell that drunk Namath to piss off if he wants.
Imma be a alcoholic just like Broadway joe, last time we won a super bowl, I think almost 100 years ago
Rodgers is 100% right relax we're 3 games in you could tell from the first game media and many fans were ready to boo and call for Wilson's head the first mistake or bad game he had this season
yeah and when we are 1 & 5 people will say its only 6 games in...please stop.
Did you look at the schedule ? Lol cmon man wake up
Namath is spot on.
If Zach Wilson wins Sunday night, that will be his Super Bowl III.
Ain’t gonna happen.
He is all yours now NY. You should think long and hard about keeping your faith in this guy for next season (and beyond?).
He and Favre got you one Superbowl each. That's all you got.
You shouldn't trash the dude or you would have zip
As a Jets fan for 28 years Aaron Rodgers is completely correct. No new QB will get us out of this problem this year. All Jets media and fans are doing is pouring salt is a wound.
Rich really think the Jets stand a chance against the Chiefs on Primetime 😂. KC is gonna steamroll them.
"Hunt down Mahomes in a way they couldn't with Mac Jones"
Ah yes, Mac Jones is obviously known for being the more elusive of the two.
that moment when George realized that if everything he has ever done is wrong, then the opposite must be right......
The "Butt" fumble is symbolic of the Jet franchise.
Hey Aaron, you're new here and don't know better but if you have to choose between Broadway Joe and any qb for the jets ...always go with Joe.
Stay strong, Rich!!
Rodgers is sticking up for his guys. Namath is right and Wilson needs to go.
Whatever he used to be, Joe Namath is a private citizen now, and has the absolute right to express his opinion-ESPECIALLY when that opinion is shared by so many thousands of other private citizens.

I am interpreting this as the curse feeling like a corned animal, fighting and doing anything it can to survive, because it knows we brought in the Harry to its Voldemort. We weather this storm and next year the organization starts anew with Rodgers.
Yeah…certain media markets don’t ever ‘calm down’. New York, Philadelphia and Boston are always angry.
Aaron Rodgers is a rental in NY. Joe Namath is a GOD. With all due respect to A-A-ron, his best response would have been to say "I respect Joe's opinion but I believe Zach can be saved", and leave it at that. Joe has been waiting 45 years for his successor. It's not his responsibility to "help the cause" by pandering to Zach's obvious incompetence.
You forget about Pennington and Sanchez, off the top of my head, both of whom were more than adequate pro QBs.
@@carrite I didn't forget them. But heirs to the Namath crown? Really? Sanchez was adequate but not a game changer. Pennington was smart as hell but had no arm, then got hurt. Nope.
I mean as a Jets fan I was wondering this too. It’s shooting yourself in the foot to boo Zach. He’s clearly rattled. Jets fans want to win. Booing him isn’t helping.
In the UK football fans are called supporters. I'm not seeing much support here at the moment!!
Rodgers is on point. Fans are going to have to get over it. Let's keep in mind that Zach is there because the OL sucked enough to get Rodgers seriously injured.
To quote the great Deion Sanders "he isn't him" regarding Zack.
Great?!?!
Here we go …. This is why greenbay wanted him gone….
We are in trouble folks Aaron Rodgers runs that organization no one else and now you see why Zach kept getting chances because Aaron says so, Boyle is Aaron boy, lizzard is Aaron’s boy, Hackett his boy Cobb his boy this dude had to the nerve to tell us to relax
Maybe you should lay off your kool aid and actually listen then, you clearly need to.
There is no instant-fix out there for the Jets, that is just facts. Everyone knew the first 6 weeks are rough, Even if they go 2-4 it will be fine given how soft the second half is.
So was he just supposed to trash Wilson so people like you can say he is a terrible teammate?
@@WandererJesterJoe Nammeth has done more for my team than some hippie and a Green Bay left over so you can take all that bs somewhere else I’ve been a fan of this team for 27 yrs it’s been 50 plus since we’ve won I don’t want to hear nothing from the Rodgers fan club if we lose against the chiefs all hell is going to break lose so you sir take your hero’s advice and
“relax”
God damn jets fans suck.
Wow. You must be pretty petty and insecure if this bugs you that much.
IDK why people in NYC are soo concerned about a team in New Jersey that has and will forever suck....
if rodgers truly cares, he'd find a way to help zach on his feet. Zach needs a total refresh and a new beginning in the brain again with the fundamentals of a quarterback. He's not even making throws on the route anymore.
He isn't even with the team, there's only so much he can do while he's away at rehab.
Anyone who genuinely wanted to help Zach would at this point take him out of the firing line and move him on. There's no future for him in NY and whilst he's still starting he's making it less and less likely that he'll get given a chance to succeed in a different environment.
He's not a psychiatrist, how is he gonna help him? Unless he gives him the number of his ayahuasca guy.
He’s with doctors he’s not back with the team yet
I'm shocked at how average the Jets defense has been, something nobody is talking about.
CHRIS!!! THE BILLY JOEL PULL!! YES!!!!!
11:30 Chris Brockman is not a Jets fan. What he's doing here is trying to drive a wedge in between Rodgers and the Jets fans and Namath in order to create chaos. o
Rodgers has to be the company line guy. Namath is just stating TRUTH. Rodgers as we all know is not the kind to take responsibility for anyone.
“Relaxing …..we don’t do that “…lmao
This has always come to their offensive line. It’s why he’s hurt and they are truly living up to their name… offensive.
AR said it in the nicest way possible. He’s simply trying to unify his teammates not appease specific negative, thin skinned New Yorkers. Toughen up, nothing he said was abrasive. Take it as inspiration.
Back Namath 100%. Namath was helping the cause. He called out the organization for their blindness and named checked Woody Johnson. The next day they brought in Zach's replacement. Thank you Broadway Joe!
“We get to be bad fans because it’s New York”
"fans" 😂
Once Aaron gets out of a boot or cast after 8 weeks - Aaron will be on the sidelines for every game cheering, guiding and coaching the QB on. Ironically it will be the Bills game!!!
Packers won the trade. Have fun with this grumpy old one legged QB you overpaid for 😊
