No, he certainly doesn't have a great o-line, and I'm starting to think D'Andre Swift's Eagles production was more the result of running behind an excellent line. Actually, Fields had to work with worse Interior Offensive Linemen. With Teven struggling to stay healthy and the bum we had at Center last year, Fields definitely had it worse and tried to make it work
Takes a couple of years before throwing out the bust label. Having said that Chicago habitually commits QB malpractice. Its unfortunate but it is what it is. Personally i never thought CW would just come in and kill it from year 1. He doesnt look bad. Chicagos coaching does.
One of the biggest differences has absolutely been coaching. One rookie has an offense designed for a specific set of high-end goals that the QB has to learn how to implement, seemingly without being allowed to slow-walk any of it. The other has an offense designed to take advantage of his skills and abilities, at a pace he's comfortable with, in order to reach the specific set of less-grandiose goals.
Yea he threw for over 350 yards. But he also threw the ball 52 times to get to that number.. there was 3 other QBs that threw for over 300 plus yards and did it with under 30 passes thrown
Caleb has the most yards in a game…but threw 52 times. He also only completed 63%, and had 2 interceptions. I’ll take Jayden’s 80% completion rating for the season over Caleb’s one 360 yard game. Caleb has 630 passing yards for 2 TDs and 4 interceptions at 59% completions. Jayden has 664 yards with 2 TDs (plus 3 more rushing) and 0 picks at 80% total completions.
Yeah exactly. Like brockman saying we “need to chill outl. It’s not us that needs to chill out, it’s the analysts that were crowning him as the best prospect in NFL history that needed to chill out.
It’s a lot of fun to watch them convince us that something no one has seen (recent vintage Caleb be a winner) is something that’s magically there is crazy. I used to love Rich Eisen. Still like him but he sounds like a crazy old man howling at trees over Caleb.
What!? @1:44 doesn't what coaching? Around draft days everybody including this show were saying how amazing coaching staff the Bears has for C.Williams and that Kliff is over-rated. Now, yall saying opposite?
D.C. has a good system in place catered to JD5 and he has a really good support system. I think Caleb is actually a highly skilled QB who just needs a better group of coaches and scheme. The run game is huge for rookie QBs.
If you watched JD5 at LSU you knew he would play well in the NFL. AP and DQ just need to surround him with more and more talent. We have the foundation now let’s keep building.
True football fans knew this was coming, yea they got good offensive weapons… but the main problem lies with the O-Line. Caleb won’t thrive if he doesn’t have a decent O-Line
No. This line was serviceable last year. Fields took 85% of his sacks while holding the ball for more than 4 seconds. Thats an eternity in the NFL. This line with 4 of the 5 same starters somehow went from servicable to horrid. Now it's only been 3 games, but Jenkins needs to be on the right and Davis needs to go, we still don't have a center but we'd at least have a dominant side of the line like we did last year. Jenkins and Wright on one side was a problem before Davis came back and they moved Jenkins back to left guard. This line is capable of being better, we've seen it before. Also I don't know why they move Jenkins so much, he is injury prone but has dominated at every position he's played. He was a wall in his few starts as a rookie out side of 2 penalties in his first start and he should probably still be our tackle, but Poles believes in measurables more than production.
After watching how Justin Fields has been able to succeed over the first 3 games, it’s clear to me that it’s an issue of coaching and o-line play. Each week Caleb has improved on the issues from the previous game.
2:34 I disagree. In Jayden Daniels interviews he would talk ball, I mean during the draft he was talking plays, his conviction. Go watch it if you have time. He was focused and locked in. Caleb came in anointed by the football world, and talking about being the best. Meanwhile Jayden just keeps his head down. I'm with Rich. Jayden Daniels is REALLY got what you want in a QB. He's elevated that entire offense. Everyone is benefiting from his play. Even the running game. He's just playing the game better through four games. That blitz to his face throw to Scary Terry is elite level, top tier. Caleb hasn't been bad but it's hasn't flashed the way Jayden Daniels has.
That’s not what everyone was saying before the season started! They praised Chicago. The way they built the team for Caleb. And oh yeah Justin fields was behind that same line and was able to make some things happen.
@@bb010tt that’s what someone that doesn’t watch says little man. I’ve watched every snap of Washington and Chicago this season. But why argue with someone that never watched or played the game
Washington fan here. I prefer people to not be talking about my team tbh. I thought our situation was better than the media Narrative. Williams doesn't look too bad though. Every rookie isn't going to be CJ Stroud. I just think the coaching is the bigger issue. They need to generate a run game, then run bootlegs and play action off that since he's most comfortable out of the pocket. We see Justin Fields succeeding in Pittsburgh, now the Bears coaching staff is in question. If they don't right the ship soon, they might as well start packing up the office.
Frankly, they're both exceeding my expectations. Caleb started slow but has progressed nicely. Daniels played as well as it is possible to play in his third career game. I think Williams has a good chance to win six games this season. Daniels could win nine.
Caleb is playing exactly how he played in college. He created which is great when you are athletically superior to the opposition...it also means you are usually off schedule which is not great for sustaining mistake free drives.
If I'm a Washington fan, I'm cautiously optimistic about this year. Last time they had a #2 pick light up the league and win the division outta nowhere, things ended poorly. Still shocked Shanahan was never held accountable for ending Griffin's career.
Let's put the stats to the side. Commaders offensive of line isn't good either. One big difference that has Jayden playing better and leading the league so far in completion percentage. He is doing a great job reading defense. He will switch plays when he sees the defense line up. Caleb isn't switching to the right plays. Caleb has great talent using his legs and arms to bail him out. He did great in college. He will have to read defense better to help him and the team. He will eventually learn it. I'm hoping he does. He is really talented. And i love his style. But Jayden does have a beautiful touch on his deep throws. His deep passes weren't that good in Arizona. But it got better and better. In his final year with LSU, he did great on those long throws. I'm surprised he is able to do it this early in the NFL. The defense is a lot faster. That last touchdown to Terry. Terry was still in the middle of his stutter step when he threw it.
Everyone after the draft said Caleb was going in a much better situation then Jayden...he has a better defense and better offense weapons then the commanders...so yea what the commanders is doing is a big step up from last year just shows their rebuild is going the right direction
Everybody here asking for patience what league are you watching? Didn’t we just see Bryce benched 2 games in? Yeah he’s not a rookie but he’s in yr2 with a new HC + OC. Patience is gone. Is it too early to label their careers? Of course. But the commanders also weren’t as stacked as Chicago, so their struggles will be magnified. They were a better team on paper but haven’t played like it yet. And heads might roll before they get on track. Don’t forget, Eberflus was about to be fired last year before the deadline.
The flip flopping on Washington’s coaching staff is hilarious. All offseason it was “Dan Quinn was their 5th choice” and “Kliff sucks and didn’t deserve another shot”
You're howling at the moon with that statement. These immature kids on RUclips who play Madden and don't watch the games only look at stats and blame the quarterback ONLY
All off-season the talking heads were saying how Williams was going to the best situation a rookie QB could go to and how Washington didn't have any of the pieces Chicago had. Now suddenly Washington was the best place to go. It's still early, but as of now Daniels is the better QB
Predicting the Commies to win the division requires ignoring what we've seen from their defense. These guys made the Giants look explosive. If it happens, I'll be ecstatic. But let's not put expectations on them already.
As an LSU fan, I’ve always said Jayden looks better to me. So I think he’s going to be better than Williams. But I also think Williams is a good player. And just needs some more time to be that guy
NEVER underestimate the Bears ruining top QB picks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bears REFUSE to bring in an offensive minded head coach and it SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the Commanders game against the Giants in week 2, the Commanders had to settle for field goals every time they were in the red zone because of penalties. Without the penalties, they would have beat the Giants by 10 plus points. The coaches must have improved the team after that to prepare for week 3 at Cincinnati. The Commanders Cardinals game should be great. I think Daniels should have another big game.
If he'd been playing lights out so far nobody in the media would be saying to "pump the breaks, it's only 3 games". If the criticism right now is unfair the hype before he even got drafted is extremely unfair
Im a Washington fan and we are too quick to these rush judgments. Caleb will be balling out soon enough, even if it is next year, once they get rid of Chicagos coaches.
Offensive line isn't as good? We literally had the WORST OL just a season ago and turned over 60% of that trash Rivera roster... Don't even make that excuse after all the "best situation for a rookie qb to come into ever" Eberflus is a known clown, amplified by seeing him micd up in Hard Knocks, and they still kept this "best situation for a rookie" narrative. No excuses now. It's caleb who sucks.
Bears fan here. Our running backs average 2 yards per carry, our offensive line is abismal, Keenan Allen has not played at all so he is throwing to the same receivers Justin Fields had + a rookie Rome Odunze. He has the most passing yards of any QB in the NFL and has already matched Justin Fields career 300 yard games. Give people time, its been three fucking games 😂
Whether it is sports or American Idol, superstar talent is immediately visible. You could see 10 seconds of a young Michael Jackson or Tiger Woods and see special right away. With Jayden, the talent is obvious and glaring. With Caleb, it is more squinting and hoping and projecting. Only 1 has Superstar potential.
"Is that fair [to Caleb Williams]?" idk maybe if talking heads didn't hype him up all offseason that he's going into the best situation and the best qb prospect in a good while, some people even claiming he has a real shot at getting mvp in his first year, maybe you wouldn't have these expectations and we wouldn't be having this conversation of not living up to they hype.
This show said the WASHINGTON Commander OLINE before the season was going to be trash and that the bears have a better set up for a rookie quarterback now things have changed smh
I hate the media switch up when their narrative isn’t panning out fast enough. Caleb has a better situation than Jayden. Still has a whole season to go but doesn’t look like the best QB in the class
Did anyone coming in to the season think Washington was even close to as good a situation as Chicago for a young QB? The revisionist history to make excuses for Caleb is insane.
I remember before the draft when people were speculating about washington moving up to select caleb, People were saying caleb should demand not to go to washington because they had a terrible offensive line. Now o line is the excuse for caleb struggles and daniels supposedly have the better line. The experts know nothing. 😂😂😂😂😂
He was talking about getting partial ownership of the team he was drafted to and getting more than rookie contract. Williams should be at nfl level immediately considering he thought he was worth it
Caleb Williams' attitude and over confidence combined with his lack of reading offenses, processing information and sloppy fundamentals is why people are being hard on him. "we're not punting", "I know my value". Less talk more production. And his last game stats were made once the defense backed off to protect their lead. The coaching is also bad but not sure if a new coach can change CW's approach to the game.
Stop blaming coaches. Caleb has missed a TON of open throws and his D has kept him in every game. He’s escaping blame for when he sucks, but gets credit for the good parts. It’s ridiculous. He’s supposed to be transcendent. Stop acting as though he hasn’t been a professional for three years
The bears defense has kept us in every game what are y'all talking about the blame is strictly on offense don't even mention our defense they have done enough
how does the narrative change so damn fast. caleb had the best situation in NFL history for a #1 pick. Jayden was going to struggle, but he hasn’t and caleb has looked terrible.
Give caleb some time. The bears are the ones holding him back cuz they got the rook throwing the ball 50 times thays not help him. If swift is struggling then maybe they need to start calling up teams for RBs before the trade deadline. A decent running game will help him out a lot

Caleb has one of the worst I lines in the league…Daniels had all day to throw
bro that chicago o line is good wtf r u on lmao
In August Brockman said Caleb could be the first 4000 passing + 1000 rushing qb. Currently, Caleb is on pace for 3600 passing + 400 rushing
I have no dog in this fight. It’s been the media’s mission to prop this guy up as Mahomes 2.0, now the media yells at us for this mess.
Yeah exactly. Like brockman saying we “need to chill outl. It’s not us that needs to chill out, it’s the analysts that were crowning him as the best prospect in NFL history that needed to chill out.
Agreed. I don't know why the media is trying to save his image so much
@@Taydee1193Because they're afraid of being wrong.
Don't trust your lying eyes, we'll tell you what you see
It’s a lot of fun to watch them convince us that something no one has seen (recent vintage Caleb be a winner) is something that’s magically there is crazy.
He had 150 yards of garbage time when the Bears were double digit down.
The Bears almost came back? That's not garbage time, cope more lol
@@Grizz1yAdamswhy cope to a losing team lmao
How? the Bears was a stop away from getting the ball back.
I need a full season to compare.
Each week Caleb has improved on the issues from the previous game.
who would have thought somebody else would have a worse offensive line than Washington after watching Washington's OL from last year.
Washington Oline is not good
Significantly improved and better than Chicago's
@@bb010ttno it’s not. Daniel’s is much better with a more valuable skill set.
Caleb Williams isn’t that good just accept it
That’s not what everyone was saying before the season started! They praised Chicago. The way they built the team for Caleb. And oh yeah Justin fields was behind that same line and was able to make some things happen.
@@greece8837 It's fine if you don't watch football little guy
@@bb010tt that’s what someone that doesn’t watch says little man. I’ve watched every snap of Washington and Chicago this season. But why argue with someone that never watched or played the game
Caleb know it all attitude is why he'll never be better than Jayden Daniels or CJ Stroud
Here after JD just ripped apart 'Zona and this sounds even better
......IVE WAITIED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS... Please don't be another RG3.. PLEASE
Caleb has not "progressed nicely" throwing for 300 empty yards while scoring 16 points (1 TD coming in garbage time) is not progression.
My concern for JD is can he take the hits?
The obvious comp is RG3.
I hope he can stay healthy.
RG3 wouldn’t even be his comp if he wasn’t drafted by Washington, the same goes for malik nabers and OBJ😂
Caleb is playing exactly how he played in college. He created which is great when you are athletically superior to the opposition...it also means you are usually off schedule which is not great for sustaining mistake free drives.
Its almost like people completely forget the 2012 draft class and how that ended up 😂
This conversation shouldn't be allowed for at least a year
If I'm a Washington fan, I'm cautiously optimistic about this year. Last time they had a #2 pick light up the league and win the division outta nowhere, things ended poorly. Still shocked Shanahan was never held accountable for ending Griffin's career.
Because he didn't end his career Griffin rushed back from injury and also didn't want to change his style of play
Stop comparing him to RG3 and his situation, that was a decade ago. Y’all have to stop
Compare their passing charts from past week. Please
Development is not a linear process. Daniels will have bad games. Caleb has gotten better each week. Wish them both and both franchises the best
It obvious the Chicago coaching staff and OWNERSHIP is absolutely to blame for this entire conversation
You're howling at the moon with that statement. These immature kids on RUclips who play Madden and don't watch the games only look at stats and blame the quarterback ONLY
Caleb 5 turnovers two games...daniels 0 in 3 3 rush tds...that is a huge deal....
But going into the season CW’s OLine was rated better. Our OLine in Washington is good because we have really great blockers in the TE and RB room
Don't even make that excuse after all the "best situation for a rookie qb to come into ever"
Eberflus is a known clown, amplified by seeing him micd up in Hard Knocks, and they still kept this "best situation for a rookie" narrative.
Biggest difference is the coaching staff 😢
Whether it is sports or American Idol, superstar talent is immediately visible. You could see 10 seconds of a young Michael Jackson or Tiger Woods and see special right away. With Jayden, the talent is obvious and glaring. With Caleb, it is more squinting and hoping and projecting. Only 1 has Superstar potential.
Caleb has superstar arm strength potential. Bust potential at every other aspect of playing QB. Short Jameis Winston.
The way Dallas playing they should move us to the prime time spot 😂😂😂
"Is that fair [to Caleb Williams]?" idk maybe if talking heads didn't hype him up all offseason that he's going into the best situation and the best qb prospect in a good while, some people even claiming he has a real shot at getting mvp in his first year, maybe you wouldn't have these expectations and we wouldn't be having this conversation of not living up to they hype.
This show said the WASHINGTON Commander OLINE before the season was going to be trash and that the bears have a better set up for a rookie quarterback now things have changed smh
as long as washington keeps putting in the work, you can see how they can be a problem for teams in the future...
Commanders secondary still needs a lot of help. We’ll be lucky to be .500
I hate the media switch up when their narrative isn’t panning out fast enough. Caleb has a better situation than Jayden. Still has a whole season to go but doesn’t look like the best QB in the class
Caleb is fine, and is not the problem. Bad coaching, bad O-line, no run game.
Hate hearing about the “line” washing supposedly had worst line before the start of the season but you see jd work…
"He had the most passing yards in a game this year" on 52 attempts, lets not just throw that fact away.
Cannot wait to see if Rams can double up!
i can not believe these clowns can say with a straight face that the bears have a much worse offensive line than Washington. unreal.
Payton was 1-15 his first year. He turned out ok. ;) He'll be fine...especially if they shore up the O-line.
Caleb will be in Pittsburgh in 3 years
😂😂😂
as a Bears fan, hopefully sooner
Did anyone coming in to the season think Washington was even close to as good a situation as Chicago for a young QB? The revisionist history to make excuses for Caleb is insane.
I think Caleb Williams will be a good QB in this league and may still win ROY. It’s a long season.
Rich, how do you not talk about the Athletics today?
Bears getting more credit in the loss than my Colts getting for the win. That's cool. Keep talking about everyone else
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR OUR OLINE WAS TRASH NOW ITS
I remember before the draft when people were speculating about washington moving up to select caleb, People were saying caleb should demand not to go to washington because they had a terrible offensive line. Now o line is the excuse for caleb struggles and daniels supposedly have the better line. The experts know nothing. 😂😂😂😂😂
Now in the football media, we have a good offensive line now?!?!?!
He was talking about getting partial ownership of the team he was drafted to and getting more than rookie contract. Williams should be at nfl level immediately considering he thought he was worth it
Rich is right I don't know what dude talking about
Better coaching in DC
Why keep making excuses for Caleb when comparing him to Jayden?
It’s the bears organization, what did you expect!
Caleb/Jayden = Bryce/CJ
Garbage time passing yards
You didn't watch the game clearly
It was a one score game….
@@javenterry8691 yes I did, cope harder
@@CalebsCars oh, so you just don't know what you're looking at. Got it
I think he is talking about Caleb not jayden atleast I hope that is who he is talking about if not then he clearly didn't watch nothing
The delusion and denial by Chris here is astounding.
Give caleb some time. The bears are the ones holding him back cuz they got the rook throwing the ball 50 times thays not help him. If swift is struggling then maybe they need to start calling up teams for RBs before the trade deadline. A decent running game will help him out a lot
Caleb Williams isn't the one to blame, it's r effing coaching staff, yall r praising JD like he's elite, he hasn't faced elite defenses like Caleb already has, all u guys care about is stats and fantasy points, NONE OF THAT MATTERS
colts, houston and tennessee😭 dawg they are not elite defenses im sorry. hes gonna take time to settle in but you gotta accept hes not playing good
