      Hi Squatch, I just ordered the Mighty Armory TNT 9mm Luger Sizing Die as it is back in stock. I also ordered replacement decapping pins (0.074"). I thought I remembered you saying something about the 9mm sizing die being in the Gold series or something like that but couldn't find the mention again in your video or it listed on the MA site. On the MA site I did see an upgrade to Gold kit, "Mighty Armory Gen I TNT GOLD MATCH Decapping Kit for all TNT Sizing Dies" for $39.95, did you use that as well?
      By the way your tip about changing out the powder funnel that I had for my Dillion xl750 that I moved over to the rl1100 was spot on, the up stroke is smooth as silk now that the old powder funnel isn't getting stuck in the brass..... Game changer.

      Fantastic I am glad that helped. I am surprised no one else is showing other Dillon users that. Good luck

    The Dillon 1100 manual advises to use the bullet feeder powder funnel instead of Dillon pistol powder activator supplied with the press. I see you are using a Mr. Bullet Feeder. Which funnel are you using and what are your results?

    Great video. Quick question on your decapping die choice. Any pros and cons over a Lee U decapping die? Couple issues I have with the Lee die is: It looses some due to the lack of threads for the lock nut to really secure it like I would prefer….I have the Starlight led installed so I can’t run the lock nut on the bottom. It’s a nice die when secure in my RL1100, but unfortunately Lee made them shorter now.
    Any tips on primer feed setup and adjustment video wise coming?
    Again awesome video!

      The TNT die is going to size to SAAMI spec. Measure your rounds dimensionally against the specs in your reloading manual and you will see the difference. That is what sold me on the MA dies. I could understand being an engineer why my reloads were not lining up dimensionally or visually to SAAMI Nothing wrong with the U die or Dillon dies from a shooting stand point they have been used successfully for many many years.

    Just trying to understand by switching the decapping and sizing die. That was able to get rid of the Coke bottle affect. Or do you need that different powder funnel to make it work?

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  6 месяцев назад

      Completely different sizing die bore compared to others. Sizing to saaami spec with this die.

      So If I run that one MA die, that will fix the hourglass shape of the brass? Or there is more to it.

    Do you have any tips for using a mighty armory die in a 750 with a mighty armory expander and still be able to keep neck tension? It’s not for all the rounds but every so often it doesn’t have enough tension to hold.

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  Год назад

      MA makes an expander for the 750. Dillon expanders don’t work well with these dies.

    Does that Mighty Armory die use carbide to make it ‘lube-less’?

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  Год назад +2

      Not that I am aware of it’s treated tool steel. However I always apply some sort of lube even with carbide. It just makes for more consistent sizing, easier on the arm and press.
