My favorite tip is the hatch tip. You taught me that do long ago and every base is hatches no doors.
Cobblestone frames and hatches all the way.... changed my build style in a good way.....
Cobblestone frames are great, watched a few videos where you used wood frames, but the Cobblestone ones are so so much easier to fire thru.
I have a random good tip for console traders
If your in a UI (workbench, mixer, chem station) and the trader kicks you, your still able to acess that UI till you close it. So if you need a extra 5 minutes. Crouch so zombies dont immediately see you when you spawn outside, and keep using that UI
my favorite was the hatch in the door way.
please don't stop making content for 7 days console edition. I love this game for what it is to my friends and me and I love watching videos about the game, considering many don't cover console edition anymore. Keep up with the tips and tricks vids and whatever else you have!

Seems kinda obvious but people don’t say it, build a base between diverse biomes. Snow is easy to get and takes care of water forever.
I wish desert and snow was side by side. Going on a full vegan + boiled snow diet sounds depressing, but youll never have to worry about food again. Fck those spazzing fast deers
Extra tip. If your moving your forge take out all your resources first or you will lose them ALL.

Thats probably because the developers abandoned console ship so f**k fun pimps ! 🖕 They can suck my left toe ! it's vanilla only with NO UPDATES WHATSOEVER ! It's basically a 2010 pc game they shegged us with. 😒 Pc is the only way for this game.

Before you put a lot of hours in look up how to avoid the map reset glitch. You can and will lose resources you've spent hours collecting if the map decides to manually reset the map across your base.
One thing to note: when wrenching down the forge, if possible take out all of the resources that are smelted in the forge because when you wrench it and pick up the forge next time you place it down all the resources inside before will be gone I just learned it the hard way so I hope this helps you not have to deal with this
Personally I like to pump early points into scavenger and quality joe, doing so makes everything I scavenge early more useful for longer.
Don't see this enough, especially starting out imo. Much bigger chance of finding something fun and late game money runs become way more lucrative.
I do this when I'm ready to build the minibike so my engine is higher quality.

Most game mechanics in 7dtd are universal, if you know the alpha that console is running on then you can search up videos related to that alpha regardless if they're console or pc.
@@ex_leper222 Console is mostly stuck in A15, with a few things from A14 and 16 mixed in.
Most people know you can automatically move a stack by pushing in the joysticks. Lesser known, you can switch tabs in the trader and crafting menu with the triggers, and turn pages on the skills, trader and crafting menus moving the joystick to the side for a second.
If you repair a gun or motorized tool with a repair kit, but while it is put together, you will have no degradation.
I thought there was no way you could show me a new trick, but I didn't know about dropping the safes (less useful to me) or wrenching birds' nests (definitely useful).

Been playing this game since it came out on Gamepass and heard about its current state. Thank you for showing console version some love. I hope TFP see how big of a fan base it still has and work towards bringing A16 sooner.
They are currently working on an update to make it more closer to the pc version that hopefully will be out beginning sometime of next year. I think it's taking a while because tfp had a bunch of issues aswell as they're building alot of the game from the ground up again for consoles through the newer Xbox xs developer software

That was like 8 months ago, there will be no 7 days to die... even if there is it will probably only be on new gen consoles as this game is VERY unoptimized. The current 7 days to die on console has worse graphics than low settings on pc and runs at 20 fps.
Craft wooden bows and stone shovels to level up faster than wooden clubs and stone axes.Don' scrap empty cans early on just in case you need water.You can boil cans in camp fires if you don't have a cooking pot
There's a building 1200 south 705 east in the desert on original map,if you take out two concrete blocks inside you can then get access to the underground area if you didnt already know it was there....
I like to make a wooden club and use it to clear plants from around my future base. Great source of plant fibers and it levels the pummelling skill. Also spiked clubs are great if you are running down a pig.
Your hatch idea is great but if you place one in front of the other it doubles the defense when you have both up _!!_
Pro tip
1: Keep cans for you can reuse them and you don't need a cooking pot
2: Use TNT to get in gun safes and safes as long you don't mind the destruction it will cause
If on navazgane find the farm to the west of Diersville. Best place on the map to build a base, almost unlimited food, it's right next to a water source, and really close to three traders and 1 town. Also you can just dig a small hole, cover it with a hatch, close yourself in and hide out hordes. Zombies can't dig down in this version.

Wrenching transformers on power poles also give you steel ingots, good early game supply before you get to a high enough level that the crucible begins to appear.

This is for late game, but when you max out level at 200 and you have no skill points left, at horde night, do any of those challenges you picked up and grind them out. You get more skill points

One of the 1st things I do is to start raiding tree stumps. Nearly everything you need starting out can be found in tree stumps.

You can get mechanical parts from those metal duct looking things on top of buildings & sometime at the side of houses when in a city as well, fences are quite good for wood farming as it takes 1 swing with a fairly leveled up axe and get quite a lot from fence panels or grow trees & regrow

Idk of this is a tip but if u get iron from rocks u can scrap it for scrap iron rather than u cooking it, so u can easily upgrade certain things with scrap metal then put it in forge if u need metal

When you said "make armor early" I found the MacGyver book which unlocked ALL of the scrap armor recipes I got so lucky and I was on day 2

Thanks for the tip on using a wrench to break down leather chairs. I'm all about getting leather early and using an axe gives 2 pieces while the wrench gives 3. I've been playing this game for 5 years now and am still finding useful tips. Great job and keep up the good work!

before combining gun parts on the workbench, make sure to repair them first with a repair kit. easy enough to make with some cloth, oil, iron, and I believe duct tape.
repairing them first greatly increases your yield

Thanks for the content. I bought the game back in 2018 and just tinkered around with it. Me and a buddy played one evening to the first blood moon but that was a 1 time gig. I picked it back up after I burned out on ESO and KF2 so played SoD for a few months. I remembered I had this game and decided to try it again but it was kicking my ass so I turned to RUclips console right around the time you were doing the Sheriff series and the tutorial and it totally changed the game for me as far as understanding the basic mechanics. You should totally do a wasteland series where you are like a Mad Max character on a quest for the bike and as much gas as you can carry but the apocalypse just keeps setting in.

There's so much to remember I'm struggling.survived my 1st horde in my same house i spawned near,took me months to go back to it after 1st attempt, in 7 days I died 7 times,starting to get hang of hitting em,and backing off again now just struggling with the points system and what to put them in.merry Xmas!

Another tip is to NEVER make gunpowder outside of the chem station. You make 2x less and its super important 2-3 weeks in. If youre using a blunderbuss and you need gunpowder for ammo - find it in bodies, purses, backpacks and cardboard boxes. You wont use the blunderbuss for long
Rewatching this video and i kind of disagree with you here. I've always played just crafting gunpowder on hand and i normally have over 150 blunderbuss ammo at all times
I made a list, i got nothing better to do.
1. as soon as you have forged iron craft barbed club
2. spikes are better than wire early game because wood is everywhere while scrap iron does not come as fast
3. helmet and beer will help most against stun, other armor is nice but wont do much for stun. Military helmet and beer optimal.
4. dont even bother opening safes until you have 3 levels of quality joe. Low level guns will be nothing compared to your bow if you have increased your weapon smithing.
5. shopping carts are great for mechanical parts, if you find a shamway its possible to get your first 20 from one store.
6. Kill an animal ASAP meat is good but you need a bone to craft a shiv, use shiv to harvest decomposing corpses for more bones and animal fat. Bones = glue
7 if you find a camsite and have inventory space tear down the tents for excessive cloth, once you find a beaker you will be able to make tons of duct tape with all the bones.
8. Sexual tyrannosaurus is ok but early game i recommend quicker crafting, it will make bulk crafting even more lucrative.
9. Mow your lawn. You can level different abilities just in your method, club levels bludgeoning, knife bladed weapons and your fist to level athletics.
10. you can use a stone axe to level construction tools but it will be much faster when you get forged iron to craft a clawhammer then build a large wood structure or upgrade POIs.
11. Save your nitrate if you want fertilizer. Once you have a cement mixer it is nitrate that will limit fertilizer production.
12. Just wanted to add spotlights to the list of items to pick up with the wrench.
13. To fight dogs walk backwards and try to hit it in the head, just dont panic from a couple bites keep a cool head and make sure you at least hit the dog, healing can be handled when its dead. My most recent world i have killed dogs with a single headshot using a 114 bone shiv, they are extremely weak dont be scared just hit them.

@@Largesmalllarge using the rotten flesh is the way i go, it cost more nitrate but you gather flesh in excess from harvesting corpses.
Poo is easiest to find in the bombed out biomes full of busted buildings with toilets, but watch for dogs and the land mines.
In early releases land mines could be picked up, they changed it so you couldnt pick them up but as for using a wrench i can not say one way or the other, my guess is no because they didnt want people in multiplayer having 50 from a camp site.
I tried picking a mine up with the wrench don't go there -10
tip for getting alot of stamina! drink golden rod or red tea till full. then eat charred meat until almost full. this will make you thirsty then you can drink 2 or 3 more teas. then at last eat a meat stew or bacon and eggs to top you off
This is awesome and thank you! You should do a Alpha 20.5 tips and tricks. So different than the consoles version. Hatch trick is my favorite tip. Do that all the time on all my bases, no doors.
Crafting lights to sell to the trader is huge! I've been broke as hell the entire time I've been playing this game that tip is going to help a lot
Log spikes are good for selling as well. They're cheap to make, stack nicely, and bring a decent price for a full stack

If you dont want to deal with dogs n such right away especially in towns/cities then use random gen map. Then it's based of your standing or exp or whatever the game uses. Cant remember

another tip to leveling up your weapons crafting: Instead of crafting a whole bunch of clubs, craft arrows. They level up the same amount the same way the club does.

My suggestion is ... when you use the console keyboard, simply type out a few letters, i.e. 'che' for storage, you'll get a few other options for armor. 'Hat' is a specific one I use for Hatch Door. Basically....you don't have to type the whole word, when you're in a pinch.

A lot of very useful tips! Day 1 and 2 I also rank up everything I can. Day 3 searching/making a base for the 7th day. Did not think about the hatch trick though, very clever

Another tip
Early on collect valuable items to sell(tires, paper, pain killers, ECT) then buy a useful tool or weapon early on
You can get a sledge hammer, spiked/metal club, claw hammer, ECT good items for not that much cash
Log spikes sell really well, they stack nicely, and are cheap to make. The small boulders that dot the countryside usually contain lead, coal, and nitrate
Also, a quick and cheap way to harvest the small boulders is to use a stone shovel. When your shovel breaks, scrap the old one and make a new one to get a better shovel. Same with the stone axe, wooden bow, and iron reinforced club mentioned in the video.
@@bradenlong8940 The small boulders are much more numerous than the coal and nitrate piles sticking out of the ground. Only drawback with them is the ore yield. How you gather from them usually makes no difference in the yield
@@samuelneuin1988 I wasn't disputing that, I was just saying that using a stone shovel on the small boulders is faster than using the stone axe, which many people tend to use because of the mission given at the beginning of a new save/world. Doesn't change the yield, just goes faster. 15 per hit with a level 1 stone shovel vs 10 with a level 1 stone axe
I would like to add to gather the resources for the ironed out club. I cant remember the name, but its a club wrapped in scrap iron. It doesnt need a schematic and it doesnt need a certain level but it is a major boost in melee. Just smash a rock and scrap the iron and boom you have the metal club.

Just found this game, it seems really good. Like a mix of skyrim, Ark and Minecraft, but it's so dark in the world and also chasing the pointer round the screen in the menus with controller is hard to actually get it on the thing you want. Any tips for these frustrations?

Best investment in my current world was a cheap spiked club that was 588 dura from the trader
On day 132, twentieth Horde tomorrow, the chainsaw for wood and the steel Axe, Steel pick axe, and Steel Armor are all great. I may get the Mercenary carbon fiber Armor if it's better. My base is a little wood iron base upgraded max. I have Iron fence around the base with barbed Wire and spikes outside of that with 2 steel doors for entry. I've only had a few actually get to my little base. The Iron fence is great it really holds them back so you can snipe easily. I also planted trees every where around my base for wood. I didn't know about the bench weapon upgrade combination, that will save me so much time. Instead of doing manually. I Have 4 boxes of gun parts but now finding fully blue and purple completed weapons anyways and have about 3 of each. The Sniper Rifle kills most all the zombies on Horde nights and sawed off shot gun for when they break free from spike's and wire and get over the iron fence. I find most all Cole, Powder, Iron, Lead from hitting rocks with steel pick axe, only takes 9 hits to destroy a boulder. I've upgraded everything to almost max, now just trying to get all the treasure maps covered. It's a good tip to build little bases around the map with food and some supplies stored there for cover when dark and also saves from running out of inventory. Another good tip is the Iron fence, it's a life saver, I watched you're videos before playing the game and its help alot. I only covered around 30% of map and found radiation mask and gloves so gonna explore even more. Great job bro. Couldn't have did it without you!!. Thank's again.

@@Rolzare Yeah their are Iron fences you can build. You need the work bench and forge I think. Haven't played in awhile, got to over 300 strait day's and it got too repetitious. I may pick up where I left off it it's still saved.

Hey, I started playing this few weeks ago but have played loads. On day 60 ish in game. I've already got all the weapons and and few minibikes. Made a pretty sturdy concrete base. Any tips for now what..? I feel like there's nothing left to grind towards.. great game but now I've got 90 % of books unlocked and no other vehicles or work stations to make im started to loose interest in playing. If only there was another tier, like tek in ark..
Start grinding ammo, cops become a real issue late game. Also try to max out your weapons
I built a huge raised compound with tons of wood spikes all around it it kills the zombies easy

I made the switch to PC and quality of life for games, especially 7 days, has skyrocketed.
I don't want the pc crap. Just make the console playable without the crashes and glitch that wipes all or part of your base and stuff

Blue berry pie is better. It doesn't smell, so you can carry them. Also they fill you slower but helps you heal as long as you eat one then wait until then eat another. Also you may need to eat more of them but the increase is the same also meat stew is better than bacon and steak and eggs.
Also If you use clay you can upgrade the flagstone rock to 1000 hit points

You only need one tip for consoles current version: Don’t play. Your base will inevitably reset itself and you can’t stop it, The game is broken. Which is a shame because it’s a perfect zombie sandbox game.
Totally didn't know about the birds nest. Thought it was only a pc version thing to get extra feathers from them

Hey spartan, love your channel and great content as always! I was wondering what you do to offset the body temperature increase from wearing armor pieces? I've experienced a lot of overheating when I'm adventuring anywhere outside of the winter or forest biomes
Leather poncho will give better heat resistance, works great and Spartan does use it
Yes leather poncho gives like -30 heat resistance. I also look at the clothing I’m wearing too try to wear the best I can.
Using iron or scrap iron gives protection without the heat that you get with leather.

Extra tip. Console only. First hoard base made of wood. 5 wood wedge squared. 5 high wood frame pillars in the corners. The wood poles running between pillars. Rotate until pole is on side, bottom towards the inside. 3 rows going up. You can make it bigger but you need to make it squared so add to all sides if you add extra wedges. Won't need a roof right away till spiders start coming but will help incase of stacking zombies. Then when you can place metal fence around top going out horizontal to stop spiders from getting on top. Bodies disappear so place a chest inside and loot as you kill. You can just trap yourself in the first hoard but dig a tunnel in the middle going down and coming out away from it to enter/exit later. Also works for emergency withdraw later game. Can also make a small room deep under filled with forges to draw screamer hoards for loot whenever you want. Upgrade the base materials as you go. Keep a chest with food and weapons. All you will ever need. Or just the basic in a pinch when you first start, up to u. Zombies can not hit the base directly. Cops exoding can be a problem later so you need to upgrade if you keep it past 4th hoard. Enjoy.

The biggest tip is just base underground zombies cant dig on console. you'll just break the Ai so they spim around in a circle

I am a xbox gamer just like the 100 iron trick
On xbox. My barbed wire needs forged iron. So it's not something you can do until the forge is made, but xbox doesn't even have a chem station. Now that I wrote that I see on your screen it says, "hold Y." Meaning you're on xbox. I must've missed a download for this game or something cuz I don't have a chem station.
Chen stations can be found at the pop in pills and can be wrenched down and taken back to your base for you to use 😊
