You both did a fantastic video on Helen! I live only a few miles from there and we often frequent the restaurants, waterfalls and trails during the week, we leave Helen to the tourists on the weekends. Thanks for showing the beauty of Helen and its surrounding area!
We only live 3 miles from Helen. It was nice to see our mountains from another perspective. We love it here in Sautee Nacoochee. It is pronounced "Sawtea". Thanks and great video!
I have been a follower of Changing Lanes for a few years now, and I'm also a fellow rv'er. I want to just congratulate you guys on your high quality relaxing videos. Whenever I've had a stressful day at work, i will look up some of your videos just to relax and unwind. So thank you and keep sharing. Also, I live in northern Indiana and would encourage you guys if ever passing through to stop and enjoy one of Indiana's state parks. Some of the hidden treasures amongst all the farm land. 😁😁😁
I rarely log into RUclips, let alone leave a comment. But your videos always have the best music playing, and they are in sync with videos like hang gliding or riding the train. Keep up the great work.
Retired Navy. Great to see Charleston and Helen again. Was stationed in Charleston and Kings Bay, GA as well as CA, WA and New England. Looking forward to visiting and camping around them again.
Good call on visiting Sautee Nacoochee, Tara. The overcast day and the slow traffic added to the scenic beauty of the village. I wonder what treasures are hidden in plain sight in that Antiques Roadshow trove?
We love Helen, we have been visiting for years. We recently purchased a RV site in Cleveland, Ga at Paradise Valley Campground the next town over from Helen.
Those initial scenes in downtown Helen, GA, seem like a small Bavarian town overrun by cruise ship tourists. However, the RV park was more like a true campground, remote and wooded. Nice contrast.😊
Hey Chad and Tara! Great video! Nice state park! I bet you are loving all of the small spaces you are able to get into with that 100 series. We recognize some of those things in the antique store 😂. The glamping tents were cool. But the dump station 🤢. Safe travels- Mike and Shelley
Helen is great place but the main drag is alway bumper to bumper. We live in Gainesville ga it’s a nice mc ride for us. The grit mill sells the best grits if you like grits. The restaurant on the back side of the main street are the better places to eat. We usually eat at Big Daddy’s.
We stayed in a barrel cabin at Unicoi several years ago. It was really nice and cozy in January. Another time we stayed in the Lodge. Rooms are nice as well. Our boys loved the loft bed area...made this mama a bit nervous, though because it was quite high up!
Great video & thanks for the final shot at the Great Outdoors showing our rig!!! We jumped when we saw it. 😂We felt so privileged to get to meet you there. Your recommendations actually are part of the reason we ended up finding a homebase in Franklin. Thanks for all your efforts. We love this part of the world too👍😎💘
Great video, brought back great memories. Being from NH originally and living in So. Fla, for my 2nd wedding I wanted mountains and waterfalls. I found Toccoa Falls! Beautiful area, and so much fun in Helen Ga. Thank you, safe travels
From 29:45, I see why Helen is a Christmas tourist trap. That "Please Come See Me" song was a pitch PERFECT serenade for those closing scenes in the video. Your video scoring continues to distinguish you among your many peers. I can't wait to see where 2024 takes you. ❤
We have The 150 series we just bought. It is The 260RD and love it. Going out to Nashville, IN to see the eclipse. Great video. Hope you enjoy smaller 5th wheels now that you have a cabin! They can get into more areas. Though I know you like the motorcycle.
We love the north Georgia Mountains. Helen is great but for sure has gotten crowded. We prefer to stay in Hiawassee at the River Bend campground, about 18 miles north. That area is so breathtaking with the mountains and the lake. Make sure to go check out Bell Mountain at sunset.
Very niice video of a very nice looking place. Its a shame to leave Charleston, but looked like ya'll got out just in time. Helen, as you were driving through town looked small but very nice. Looks like a good place for a vacation to see and relax in. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels to these locations.
We live 45 miles from Helen in the mountains and haven't been there in 15 years or more. Beautiful drive from our home but it's to commercial now. Thanks for sharing your video.
We were in Helen this past Thanksgiving. Had a lot of fun touring the town and the Hardman Farm historical museum. We had so much fun we’re going back this Spring. We stay at Top Of Georgia Airstream Park. Really great tour of the state park, town and the waterfall! 👍
My home state & countless trips to Helen since the early 60s, as a child, and then to Unicoi as a girl scout leader, then motorcycle rides and professional conferences during my career. If you go back during the summer months make sure you tube down the creek. Thanks for taking us along. (and I'm so sorry you experienced the dump station "prank"....so disgusting) Wanda , Charleston SC
Love Helen, GA. We've only ridden that area but now that we are RVing, we need to get there. Oh, Go Coast Guard!! We are both retired Coasties.. But we still enjoy your channel. lol Subscribed
I got to experience Helen when I was down in that area for a wedding staying at an AirBnB. I haven't camped there yet...but I know where I can get a site! Nice job.
Hi Chad and Tara. We love state parks and camp during the week when we can. Starting Sunday afternoon! Oh, and camping in later Sept. after Labor Day is wonderful too. My husband washes our dishes outside on the picnic table. He has a tub and gets a 5 gallon bucket of water from the water spigot. It saves filling up the gray water a lot. He also heats up water on his Coleman stove. It is a nice system, I cook and he does dishes.
Love love this video. Definitely a great place to stop at. Helen Georgia is such a cute place. I loved the quaint village and the German place to eat at since I’m German. Heading on a road trip in July and definitely want to stop there. The waterfall is beautiful. The campground poopies was an eye opener😂😂😂.
Having camped many times there in Cleveland, GA. Home of the cabage patch kids which is about 20 Minutes from Helen. Your right avoid the weekends there. Another area that is nice is Blue Ridge GA.
Alabama Reflection guy here...Unicoi (and Helen) is a must trip for us every fall. Oktoberfest is a good thing, no? Thursday/Friday in town when the crowds/parking are down then Saturday camp fire and outside College Football. Always a great trip!!
We've been in this area dozens of times. We camp in Seneca and ride the motorcycle on all these rides. There is so much to do in this area. We love this area. Brass town bald is a good ride. We've started in Seneca for breakfast ride to highland for lunch ride to cashiers then back to copper river in Seneca for supper. Stopping at a few waterfalls on the ride. We are headed to Lenoir on April 6th for 21 days of riding blue ridge parkway. Travel safe. Robert woods.
We've stayed at one RV park that has the office all the way at the back like that. In fact, there isn't even a good turn-around area by the office, so big rigs should stay out of that section. As you enter the campground, there's a big sign saying to stop and call them. They send someone out to get your name and lead you to your site. Another RV park we've stayed in, the office is most of the way through the cg on a sort of main road, but a sign makes it look like it's off to the side, which led us to get into a section that wasn't very convenient. Free laundry?! That's the first place I've heard of with that. We're self-contained, so it wouldn't help us, but it shows a great attitude to the guests in general. When I douse a fire, it stays doused. Maybe the next fire will be harder to start, if it's in the next couple of days, but a flat piece of wood as a base will fix that. Not at a dump station, but at a site with sewer hookup, I saw someone, apparently new to RV camping, try to dump the black first, and his slinky was not at all secured to the service. Black water went everywhere. For those times we just don't want to do dishes, we have disposable supplies. We rarely use them, but when we need them it's very handy. I wouldn't want to use that dump station either. Maybe find a site with sewer hookup, and get into it just long enough to dump the tanks. I had AllTrails, a paid subscription I think. But when I tried using it, I found the trail maps either missing for where I was, or very wrong. Then I lost my phone, and when I replaced it I couldn't remember my creds for the account, and haven't bothered looking for them. It *seems* like a great idea. I wonder if I was just unlucky with where I tried to use it.
We have friends who live just outside Helen. Our grandkids always get sick going there, with all those curvy mountain roads! Cool place though. Going to have to check out that little area outside of Helen next time we are up that way.
My wife and I have been watching your videos for over a year and lo and behold on this video I see that Skippy the Magnificent disconnected your trailer brakes!😅😅😅
Sounds and looks alot like Leavenworth in eastern WASHINGTON State. It to was a lumber town that adopted the Bavarian theme. Worth a visit if in the area.
Helen, Georgia. What a quaint place! I would add to our list of cool places to visit, but at this point, we could never catch up 😮I'd love to see the Chattahoochee River and ride on the caboose. It reminded me some of Clinton, NJ. A place we frequented often when we lived up north. Daisy looks adorable, so attuned to Tara. Her little tail is always wagging😅
Great Helen video!! Tara, tell me where you bought your colorful puffer jacket and beautiful bright blue top. Hard to find such bright clothes and I love those. Thanks!! 😊😊
Great job! We are in SC so we go to Helen often. What is the difference between the Momentum and the Reflection? I am sure there is going to be a video on that. Love you Guy’s.
Nice job putting out that fire on the other site! I worked at a state campground 35 years ago. It became a pet peeve of mine when people left their fires going at night or when they left their sites. Still bugs me today when I see it!
lol if your ever in Michigan check out Hell Michigan it’s a very small town a lot of bikes take a beautiful ride there I live 10 miles from there and the restaurant there has awesome bbq brisket
I’ve always wondered the origin of the word Unicoi & what it meant. It most be something other than One Coi. There are some locations in East TN named Unicoi so the word must have some meaning.
I would love to have a link to that dog pad on your console. BTW: I'm about 90 minutes from Helen and I own a couple of ownerships at an RV resort just about 5 minutes from downtown Helen. It's a beautiful area.

What a cute little town. Just loved seeing it at night with all the Xmas lights ❤So beautiful! Sorry your Christmas plans were changed, but your cabin looked so cozy with the snow falling ❄️⛄️ Thanks for sharing with us! I had to admit I chuckled over the doody section of the video, it doesn’t surprise me anymore with how people are, they just don’t care because they don’t have to clean it up. Just like public washrooms, so sad 😞 I was surprised that nobody was sent immediately from the campground to clean it up when you notified them. That’s just nasty 🤢 Anyways haha, cheers from BC, Canada 🇨🇦
spoiler aleart dumpee lumpeee Good Greef ,, i hate it when people leave a mess,, i realy wanted to see the inside of the 5er ... cabin is beautful,, we had a little cubbie like you have for dazie when we had our small puppie Roxie,, sweet nice video thank you for taking us along ill never get there ... stay safe guys
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My wife and I were there in March 2019. (Helen GA) Nice video. Side thought: Not a big fan of the music all through the video. That could be just me though. 🙂
What hit me the hardest is when you go to an “antique” only to find childhood memories. Wait what my childhood is “antique” 😳😭
I rode the Harley to Helen a countless number,of times. Great motorcycle roads!
If they didn't have frame failure on there G/d they could be riding there indain around
Excellent video! You two make a great team! Thank you for sharing your travels!!!! Wow! Wow! Wow!
Thanks for the video! Love you guys.
I love Helen! Spent many family vacations there growing up. Such a gorgeous area! The Nora Mill is my favorite place.
I have been a follower of Changing Lanes for a few years now, and I'm also a fellow rv'er. I want to just congratulate you guys on your high quality relaxing videos. I sure hope you have done some motorcycle riding in the North Georgia mountains around Helen. Some of the best riding around in that area.
Retired Navy. Great to see Charleston and Helen again. Was stationed in Charleston and Kings Bay, GA as well as CA, WA and New England. Looking forward to visiting and camping around them again.
Thanks for your service, Brother!!! Go Navy!!!!
Cool looking place, we will add this to our list of places to check out thanks for the tour.
Helen reminds me of Leavenworth, Washington.

We love Helen, we have been visiting for years. We recently purchased a RV site in Cleveland, Ga at Paradise Valley Campground the next town over from Helen.
Cool how you caught that one little waterfall that flows uphill! 😊 (27:34)
"Hell-n-back" - Great dad joke! Helen looks like a nice quaint town. - Cheers!
Those initial scenes in downtown Helen, GA, seem like a small Bavarian town overrun by cruise ship tourists. However, the RV park was more like a true campground, remote and wooded. Nice contrast.😊
That's exactly what it is. LOL

Thank you so much great trip nice peps
We were in Helen two weeks ago with our JAYCo 28.5 fiver and did all the stuff you did. Had a blast.
Awesome Video, you did our little town of Helen proud, thanks!
Loved the video and the sights. Thanks for taking us along! 👍❤️🇺🇸
We stayed in a barrel cabin at Unicoi several years ago. It was really nice and cozy in January. Another time we stayed in the Lodge. Rooms are nice as well. Our boys loved the loft bed area...made this mama a bit nervous, though because it was quite high up!
Great to hear that feedback about the cabins and lodge.. Thanks! 😊
I have a membership at Unicoi Resort just around the curve from y’all. Absolutely love staying there and enjoying all the food in downtown Helen.
Great video & thanks for the final shot at the Great Outdoors showing our rig!!! We jumped when we saw it. 😂We felt so privileged to get to meet you there. Your recommendations actually are part of the reason we ended up finding a homebase in Franklin.

That was a wonderful video. I would love to see that antique place. Thank you!❤
Liked your trip to Helen we over there just a two weeks before and else enjoyed the campground and our annual trip to Helen for the Christmas lights.
Saw your video about Cashier/Highlands NC and stayed in that area last week. Feels like temps of 11!!! But enjoyed seeing lots of water falls
We live 45 miles from Helen in the mountains and haven't been there in 15 years or more. Beautiful drive from our home but it's to commercial now. Thanks for sharing your video.

We just got back from Charleston on thursday. We stayed on the Mt.Plesent side at Shem Creek Inn. We went through the KOA you stayed at.
Awesome Thanks for sharing
Wow. Looks amazing. We definitely need to add Helen to our list. Thank you for sharing. Your videos are so good🤗
Medevac pilot in Dahlonega for the Army Ranger school, 84-85. I really liked that area but not the boring mission! Thanks for the video!
Beautiful Christmas video.
Love Helen, GA. We've only ridden that area but now that we are RVing, we need to get there. Oh, Go Coast Guard!! We are both retired Coasties.. But we still enjoy your channel. lol Subscribed
Stayed in that exact site at Unicoi in fall. Leaves were changing and amazing. Helen was nice as well and traffic was just as bad!
If you had Cabbage Patch Kids growing up Babyland General is a stones throw from there. It is pretty cool to see how they got their start.
I got to experience Helen when I was down in that area for a wedding staying at an AirBnB. I haven't camped there yet...but I know where I can get a site! Nice job.
Great video, love you all!
I laughed at the Mr. Hankey joke.
Love your videos! Have a blessed day!

Love your videos, especially the background music.
Helen was beautiful and the lights were amazing . It was better than the lights in Gatlinburg or pretty close. Thanks for sharing.

Nice place. We stayed in the windmill hotel and ate at the bodensee resteurant back in 2016.
We have friends who live just outside Helen. Our grandkids always get sick going there, with all those curvy mountain roads! Cool place though.
Going to have to check out that little area outside of Helen next time we are up that way.
Looke like a giant Culvert, ive seen one almost that size under our road in Mississippi
They're huge.
My wife and I have been watching your videos for over a year and lo and behold on this video I see that Skippy the Magnificent disconnected your trailer brakes!😅😅😅
We went the same time you did we had a great time in helen too!
Tara, I've commented this before, and I'm going to do it again - you are an artist at finding music to play in the background of these videos!
Thank you! ❤️

Yall r definately in my neck of the woods now. I'm about 12 miles from Helen. Enjoy!
We love Helen and all the sites to see. We love the trails around the lake at Unicoi Campground!

I’ve always wondered the origin of the word Unicoi & what it meant. It most be something other than One Coi. There are some locations in East TN named Unicoi so the word must have some meaning.
Beautiful area, looks like a nice spot to ride motorcycle
Great motorcycle rides in the area. Suches and Wolf Penn Gap
Thanks guys for taking us along do yall pay for the premium upgrade on all trails app ..
I would love to have a link to that dog pad on your console.
BTW: I'm about 90 minutes from Helen and I own a couple of ownerships at an RV resort just about 5 minutes from downtown Helen. It's a beautiful area.

If you thought that waterfall was great, you should eventually get to the poconos in PA and go to bushkill falls, it has multiple trails. But the main waterfall is spectacular
Bought speckled grits when we were at jumpin goat

28RL tour video coming soon. 😊
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My wife and I were there in March 2019. (Helen GA) Nice video. Side thought: Not a big fan of the music all through the video. That could be just me though. 🙂
Im curious about the food prices for a steak dinner There or in the supermarkets as steak sells for around 35 bucks a pound here in Canada
Helen looks like Frankenmuth, MI.
Wow! We enjoyed you Helen GA video so much that we added it to our bucket list. How long in advanced did you make the state park reservation ?
Not long before at all.. But, it was also winter, so we didn't expect it would be too crowded. I'm sure the summer is a different story.
Fun,Fun,Fun
Check out Dahlonega also! It is a cool town!
