- In this video, we toured a Skyhawk HUD ANSI home at Winter Haven RV in Lake Wales, FL. The tiny house on wheels is Skyhawk's model 654 and is 13' x 37'11" with 8' sidewalls. As with most of the park models in Florida we have toured, this home features plenty of storage and lots of unique features. The home has 449 square feet of living space with a neat floor plan allowing a roomy bathroom and a large dining area! The home can be purchased as wind zone 3 or 2, depending on where you place it.

That extra 100sq feet is wonderful, and the handrails and other considerations are appreciated (and I'm in my 40's, just thinking of the end game, as it were)
Your videos keep improving - now is the time to invest in a nice camera gimbal! I really think more states should allow 499 sq. ft. park models - I think this is what budget minded retirees and first time buyers need.

this is a nice one. Tankless water heater?
Skyhawk uses a standard 20 gallon electric water heater. I'm sure you can upgrade to tankless if you wish. They have a knack for hiding the water heater pretty well, and access is generally from the outside.
Love the extra 100 sq ft ❤ Not a fan of the window right behind the bed. Not sure the sliding door is safe security wise.
You can opt for a standard door there instead of the slider.

I don't understand why people who tour these homes want me to see THEM and hear them talk about what a refrigerator is, instead of panning the HOME! I can't SEE the home or the layout or what it LOOKS like for them in the way.

This is nice, however way more expensive for only one bedroom than the super nice models at Recreational Resort Cottages in TX.
We occasionally watch their videos and would like to eventually get to TX to see some of the homes they offer - but at the manufacturers' lots (Athens and Platinum).
However, bear in mind a couple things:
1. These homes we are showing from FL are priced with the furniture and appliance package you see.
2. These homes we are showing are HUD Wind Zone 3 as priced. RRC normally sells WZ 1 and 2.
3. These homes we are showing are 500 square feet - not the typical park model size of 400 square feet. This offers more room for the one bedroom to be more spacey and for lots more storage.
4. RRC's CLEARANCE park models on their website are running around $190-210 per square foot. These we are showing are NEW - not clearance -and a little more per square foot, at around $220. That equates to a $5k - $10k difference, which is easily made up for with the furniture package and heftier wind zone rating, plus being new and not a clearance / discontinued / older model. All things considered, these are actually priced competitively with RRC.
However, RRC does have some unique park models from Platinum Cottages and Athens Park with neat features and finishes we'd like to tour and show on our channel!
