This has been a well kept secret since og Pokemon. Magikarp has one of the fastest attack speeds in the game and if you run Magikarp completely out of moves so that all it has left is flail then Magikarp can get first strike and one hit KO everything. My friend once beat the final four in Pokemon with 6 level 99 Magikarp that he named Murderkarp.
Incredible, magikarp defeated them all with a single level to gain, leaving them with the opportunity to evolve AFTER defeating the Elite 4 to assert dominance.
This is... partally true?? Magikarp has pretty mediore base speed at 80, and it's been like this since the very first game, however, Swift Swim, the ability it got since the 3rd Generation, allows magikarp to outspeed pretty much every Pokemon that isn't also boosting its own speed while in the rain. Without swift swim, Magikarp's speed stat is only impressive when comparied to other 1st stage Pokemon. The only reason Magikarp was able to outspeed the Dialga, Lugia, and Palkia in this video is because of the opposing trainer's lack of knowledge of IV's and EV's, and didn't EV train the 6 hacked shiny legendaries they brough into battle.
Well technically it should be legendary but it evolves into much weaker gyarados who is breaking this status so we can call not a evolution line but only magikarp as pseudo legendary pokemon but if magikarp is holding everstone well that's a diffrent situation

I think this video stands as an example of making any Pokémon work. It just takes the right team, the right set up, the right strategy, and varying amounts of luck.

Typical Noob Player Strategy:
1: Get Pokemon over 500 total EV
2: Add a couple of legendaries on their team
3: Fuck all technical moves and go for 100-150 attack moves
4: Spam for the win

I'm pretty sure noobs don't know what EVs are, even seasoned casuals have a very vague idea.
+Alan Antoine Thats much more fun than bitching with stat moves and other bs that just stalls the game, and anyone who is playing a game like pokemon not for fun fun but competetively must really be bad at everything that requires skill.

I don't use any. I find that they are too overpowered. I will use starters but no legendaries.

Regigigas is the worse legendary pokemon because of its Slow Start ability ( halves its attack and speed for the first five turns )
