I have a 23 GasGas EX250F. I put a GET ECU in it. I’m riding around in the woods in PA. The GET helped with flameouts but it still does it a fair amount. My friend has a Sherco 300 SEF and he very rarely gets a flameout. Maybe it’s me though. I try to keep my RPMs higher than what I’m used to on my 2 stroke and that helps. But I do think the Sherco engine is designed / tuned better for low speed lugging around. The GasGas is still fun but flameouts can get annoying.
I do feel like you need to keep the revs up on the 4-strokes. The 2-strokes can definitely make you lazy with that since they'll lug down to nothing. As an update, I did install a Vortex ECU that was tuned by Twisted Development and since then I've had one flameout. Granted the Rekluse will mask the normal stalling but as you watched in the video even with the Rekluse it was flaming out a lot.
You were ripping out there !
