I flew on my first 777 it was BA 777-300ER from LHR to JFK Sat behind the engines near to the back I had Aisle seat but god they sounded fantastic and the Power. My first ever flight was 2019 on an AC787 from LHR to YVR with GEnx. Same on the way back and from JFK it was a GE90-90B 772 wanted a Rolls Royce having never flew on an RE powered aircraft
@@masighose8098 and not just that, if it's full power, they are gonna overuse the engine, which may give an angine failure during takeoff, so in order for it not to happen, it's always 90% throttle
Techinically all jet engines are never running at “full power” except when they are being tested. TO/GA thrust is the most powerful setting on jet engines and its always at least 2% shy of “full power”
@@ahmedayaat4736 true. I should also mention that the engine itself is about 1/3 the size of the casing. The reason they're so big is because of the fan blades.
Thank you for sharing this take off scene. yes, the engines are not at full power. It is at take-off power which is less than full power. These engines are very powerful and nice to see.
Awesome video. I love watching the engines during take off. Only in business class or if you’re lucky enough to get a forward economy seat can you see the engine like this. I flew on an A340-600 in business class a few years ago and it was magic to watch those two engines mounted on the wings as we gained speed and altitude!
It is. You can see the Bayonne Bridge at the beginning. Taking off from runway 4L. I've driven by several times and never realized how close it is to the water.
Looks just like the Elizabeth, NJ airport with I - 95 NJ Turnpike in the background and the Seaport been by there quite a few times and did pickups and delivery there
It's taking off from newark Liberty airport in new jersey i was once stuck in that place for half a day because of weather and then we boarded our plane after that we sat on the runway fo another hour or 2 while i was sick
I'm pretty sure all these modern GE Aviation ac engines like GE90x fam are made basically all by hand by individual teams of engineers and techs ... like no automatic assembly line mass producing here.
If your long-haul flight was in recent years, your best chance of it being a 747 would be with Lufthansa. Most airlines in the world have already stopped flying them with passengers, with the vast majority of currently flying planes being freighters
People that have never flown have not experienced the humbling feeling of being pushed into your seat during takeoff
W comment
Best feeling ever

Ur absolutely right
Not full power. The GE90 is capable of a lot more.
Bro you are correct because if they will give full throttle during any take off the passengers will get hard push back due to inertia
@@masighose8098 well not quite true if they are heavy.

@@masighose8098 yes
I would say it is an average take off and not even close to maximum trust.
Love the GE-90!!! Music to my ears 👂 Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh the love for flight. R.i.p DAD 30 years as an aircraft inspector.
r.I.p😢
That’s not full power!
It does sound nice though.
Yes
Unless you live off the end of a runway and a 777 takes off over your house at 3 AM. LOUD!!

The diameter of the engine is bigger than the fuselage of a 737. Magnificent machine.
Thats the ge9x
That's the GE9X or the GENX, GE90 same as 737 fuselage
I know it’s hard to imagine
@@ahmedayaat4736 true. I should also mention that the engine itself is about 1/3 the size of the casing. The reason they're so big is because of the fan blades.
That might be a bit of exaggeration, but not much. 777 engines are enormous.
Always amazes me how much planes and engines flex.
A 777 is soo powerful it can take off with one engine
Only on a long enough runway and at max thrust 😂
@@Flogger1345that’s still incredible
@@LJayyBeh many aircraft are able to do that now
@@Flogger1345 Seriously!!!
@@stuffstoconsider3516 almost every twin engine can do it. Its a part of the certification program.
I love listening to those things spool!
See the load on the wings and they'll start to flex!
I'm a Licensed A&P Love the way Turbo bypass Engines have so much intake Airflow!!
SIIIIIIICK!!!!!! That gives me goose bumps every time it replays with max volume 😁 Nice one mate 👍
It's not full power
Who said full power??? 🫣🫠
Good Mornight
The best moment of a flight for a passanger.
For the pilot is it the landing 😊
I love the landing too!!

777s are like carrying two 737s on their wings
Look how massive the GE90 is 😍
Incredible machine. One of my favorite airplanes the 777-300ER
That engine whine though 😍😍😍 Music to my EARS!! ❤
That’s probably about 60% power lol but still awesome. I’ll by flying in a 777 to maui in a few weeks
Have a great trip and enjoy Maui.
They wouldn’t go that low. The N1% is probably around 82%
That's a lot more than 60 easily in the 80s the GE90 isn't that loud of an engine
Always love the sounds of these engines. Also cool to watch the wings flex as it gets enough speed for lift.
Music to my ears listening to those beasts spool up
Absolutely beautiful from a GE90 engine 😊
sounds like 80% power. those rolls royce GE90 engines have an amazing sound
General Electric not rolls royce
It's a beautiful and comforting noise.
I can tell you took off from Newark, NJ (EWR). I noticed Port Newark and I-95 (NJ Turnpike) in the background. Great 👍🏻 video 📹🛫
Yes and IKEA!! 😜
@@msm2143 You’re absolutely welcome 🤗
my favorite airport! 🙌
@@UnionCountyPhotography I haven’t been there in a while. I’ll have to go and check it out 😎
its such fun to go into the ikea and watch planes takeoff and land
Absolutely amazing!
Best part of any flight!
That push we feel when the plane takes off is just awesome
Jet engines n jet planes fascinate me.
The Concorde too. 🙂
These high by-pass engines are fascinating. You can see right through most of the engine. It’s crazy they can be so powerful.
Beautiful
Very cool video 👍🏻
Isn’t it remarkable how much movement is going on? Wobble wobble 😳
Yep, unnerving to witness as a passenger but totally by design
The most powerful engine! 😎

That wing flex never gets old!
What people don't realize is that this engine is powerful & efficient enough that it doesn't need to run at full power.
That engine looks MASSIVE compared to the wing
Just Fabulous! Thank you Nick!
The best sound for me .....great From Brazil...Yeah.
Die 777 Turbine ist einfach der Wahnsinn
I miss that Airport, I think you just took off from EWR. I used to live in NJ and that was my home base for United.
Nothing beats ge 90 sound
Tantissimi complimenti....!!!
That is more than a 100,000 lbs of thrust!
The fabulosity is off the charts !
Looks like EWR, NEWARK, NJ

United B777 Newark
Like the whole plane balancing on those huge engines
El sonido es fascinante y el poder wooou . Soy fan de las turbinas enamorado de esta parte de los aviones.
Love it…..😃. So much miss flying on the 777-300ER. Hope this coming Spring/Summer 2023…back to Asia.

God I love that growl!
The 777 Engine has the Most Power of all civil aircrafts.
Just humming along🛫
I love the 777s
I still can’t comprehend the fact that the 777 engine is taller and wider than an entire 737 fuselage.
Yeah it's like the 777 is carrying two 737s under its wings 😂

LOOVE the sound of the engines
Stunning video 🤩✈️👍

Aaaah! Good ol' EWR!!
Almost sounds as good as the humming during start up...
I love this sound
Beautiful and exciting sound!
Nice takeoff from EWR!!!
Dam, that modern wing bends like a wet lasagne noodle.😳
Must be untied with their ultra low power take off settings! I can’t stop watching this video !
