So much for fixing QC problems. Couldn't even pull it off for their new launch. The issues with the modern LP that should never be allowed to leave the factory on a 2,800 dollar guitar and then a veteran Gibson player like Trog having to send SGs back because they won't stay in tune. This is what happens when a reviewer buys a Gibson like a normal schmo rather than having Gibson send a reviewer one they managed not to fuck up. Not a good look. Deeeeeeerp

Has any one ever actually seen him play any of his guitars does he know how to play or is he a collector
He does play alot, he's no Rockstar but he better then alot of ppl
Dusty SkullZ check out his review videos
Have a nice break even though I will miss the episodes :) And good luck with the new or next GoPro... Guess i'll have to drink tea for a couple of weeks :D Cause nothing makes my morning coffee taste better than to drink it while watching you unboxing and reviewing guitars!!… I currently have a Les Paul Std faded from 2005 (yes the good one) do you have any suggestions to another LP or is this the best for value?... Thanks! And best wishes from Denmark! :)
Search out an all original 70s/80s The Paul. The reviews and WYRON will still continue daily, but the vlogs will be on a short break
@@TrogAah yea I know that model! Cool thanks!! :)
I have a Vivitar sports camera. It works pretty well. I made a few You tube videos with it doing wood work and they turned out pretty good.
I remember that single coil SG being the guitar the of year back in like 2007 i think, I just thought it looked okay but it didn't seem like anything special, Gibson had a couple of weird models back in those days
I had two GoPro 4's that had overheating issues. I lost a lot of footage because of them. I think the newer ones probably solved that problem, I'm not sure because I stopped using them.
Im really tempted to send you my Trad Pro II for a reveiw. I havent seen you do a Trad Pro review yet and think they are kinda cool.
What about the sound not usually heard that you eluded to?

I don't why gibson changed their cases. The ones in 2019 felt of quality, the new ones feel super cheap to be honest.
Recording on a go pro just get a good phone the camera on the new ones is top class
It would likely be better if I could find a headmount set for a phone
@@Trog your making guitar videos not down hill racing on a mountain bike with it you don't need a head mount for that
Love the channel but you make me nervous with your unboxings. My grandpa tought me to always cut away from myself. Be safe a great channel.
My self included, there would be a lot less worry about Gibson headstocks arriving unbroken, if Gibson would just use maple for all necks.
I'll have to check out more of your videos. How do not lose money buying and then selling new guitars?
My channel is mainly built off of used guitar reviews. I don't make money reviewing the new ones, but they are good for the views. I see it as a marketing cost (and because I want to try them out in a turning point in Gibson history-in-the-making)
@@Trog I appreciate you taking the time to reply! Good on ya!
@@Trog I don't know whether to thank you or blame you. But after watching this and your video on the '60s LP with p90s I went to your shop at Reverb. That lead me down the rabbit hole which ended with me purchasing a new 2019 LP Standard 50's model. I like thicker necks on LPs, and the Burstbucker 1 and 2 have been a holy grail for me. Anyway, I paid $2,124 for it, and I never thought I would be able to afford a new LP Standard; this is my first one, and I am very exited! Now I just have to resuscitate my checking account by sell my 2 (lesser but beloved) LPs. Cheers! And Gibson owes you some coin for this sale, man!
If that's the freshest darkest ebony fretboard you've seen you've been getting bad guitars. My Schecter and Ormsby Guitars have amazing looking dark uniform fretboards, consistently. Sounds like a Gibson thing to do tbh. Even my Ibanez GIO has a really nice rosewood fretboard.
Thanks for finally putting to rest what my Ibanez is called, been trying to figure out if it's "Gio" or "G10" so thanks for clearing that up :-)
I don't get it -- unboxing is about all there is? What's the interest?
Just wondering if you ever have any unboxing nightmares or do you ever see bubble wrap in your dreams.
that first one looked like a Chinese Gibson fake
For real
That SG3 just looks really, really cheap. It doesn't have any kind of a good color scheme and it looks like somebody's frankenstein/spare parts guitar. It looks so mid-1970s "Sears." The headstock is its only saving grace. I anxiously await your demo.
HEY TROGLY WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR MUTANT GUITAR TGE ONE THATS HALF LES PAUL HALF SG
The last message I got from Scar My Guitar was I should be expecting it this week - so maybe the review soon? haha
"Not necessarily my favorite guitar just a standard" meanwhile im lucky to have my vintage gibson acoustics. Roadworn teles, and 70s sigma classical. Must be nice to drop 5-6 grand and be like ehh lmao
Not only eeh, it's a beater to take to shows
Ok, so what caused the sound? Did the string catch in the padding of the case?? Perhaps it had been sitting so long snuffed up against that padding that it had formed around the string and pulled it when you opened it
Either that or the string was bumped out of the nut slot when jostled in shipping and wasn't allowed to return until the case was opened.
.why do you want to buy from an other dealer..? Because it is not very often that I have some 2500 dollars to spent in my life I want to be sure to buy a good quality Les Paul. What year do you recomment..?
Sweetwater is great company
Go pro is good stuff I use them at work all the time just get a converter card so you can put mini card into reg card trying to hook cam up too computer is not the best way card will cost 25 30 dollars well worth it
I kinda don’t get your business... you buy tons of,guitars from Sweetwater and either return them right away or sell then to randoms on reverb? Indulge me :)
I generally only review used models. Buying 'new' the past couple of weeks has just been a marketing cost essentially
@@Trog Thanks for the reply :)
That SG3 puts me into the Uncanny Valley.. I find it revolting.... Nope... Not even for free... The LP modern looks nice.. I like the Pelhamish Blue... The Gold Top P90 is tops... Beautiful.
Lots of us like the EB models.
Can you recommend the dealer that gave you a great deal? Sounds like you had a really good experience with them.
Any 1000 video special coming up? I'd like to see an hour long qna/jam.
Deeeeeeerp
Never ship with UPS. They lose and break everything
Having worked for FedEx as a Package Handler and received parcels from both FedEx and UPS it depends on your distribution center.
In my area UPS is 10X better...
Omg i want all of those guitars😍🔥🤑
Have you ever thought about having a traveling museum where you have a 1 hour show and tell on some important instruments? I would pay to see that
i like the 2019 thin body les paul limited edition lite standard
Considering the price.....
i like fat necks and p90s. thats an awesome 50's reissue. too bad i cant EVER afford one.
Cool videos! So if I understood well, you buy the guitars directly to the supplier (or with some kind of deals) , make a video demonstrating them, and the put them again to sell right?
Yes, I buy guitars, review and then sell. Mainly used instruments but occasionally for new as well.
Do the new SG junior! How does it compare to the new DC juniors? Does it stay in tune better than the other SGs?
Please dont click bait me again. You're better than that!
interesting shelf to the left of your bench..
Not sure if mentioned but on my screen the neck on the 50's P-90 came out looking warped. Probably your camera ?
for that particular segment, the stock 'fisheye' gopro lense was on instead of linear mode like the rest of the video so yes, it is distorted
