You should buy a chibson just to see if it's a good "starter" guitar for the price point and to compare it to an actual gibson, no other youtube channel has done something like thay
@@nobodyspecial6881 well I mean, it completely changes the look of a guitar like Paul Gilbert's Mikro signature it makes the guitar look more interesting, but the es les paul gibson did a while ago, they did a limited run with no f wholes, I wouldve want one of them becuz they show off the flame maple top more
I feel like probably the main hate was the fact that stuff like this has been in the partscaster realm for years just like tele jazzmasters (jazzmaster with a tele configuration) and there is just something that feels unwanted about Fender doing official versions of them. so in that way, they aren't even recycling themselves, they are just lifting DIY/Partscaster guys ideas.
@@dannyblau3850 The concept was similar to partscasters though I've never seen these particular designs before. At least Fender did their own thing with them and didn't just straight up release copies of the JazzCaster.
The strat/tele mash is so beautiful! I don't know how anyone can puke on them. I can see the purest not liking it but it's so beautiful. If I had the cash I would have 1 or 2.
I have one of the original “mashups” ...a Squier 51’ 😁. I love that thing , Strat body , Tele neck ,P-Bass pickguard, and my fave thing : The input jack on the side ! I swapped the pickups and it sounds killer too. I believe there was a Fender version years later called the Pawn Shop 51’ as well.
I kinda like the Fender hybrids. I don't really get why it's so outlandish to some people. Seems like a logical extension of a company that focuses on a few designs that have very distinct shapes and configurations. Just play mix and match for those who some of this and some of that. Although I like it more when they come up with an genuinely new body shape like the Meteora.
I bought a green one two months ago, I think it’s the best guitar Fender has put out in years. I did change the bridge with a Mastery as the Mustang bridge that comes with even the most expensive Fender offsets is a cheap bridge, after that it’s a fantastic guitar.
Those are all great guitars! I don't know why anyone wouldn't like them. I suppose there are a lot of people out there that have little or no imagination. I particularly like the telestrat. Very nice!
The "stratele" was kinda cool. I dug the strat style tremolo vs the jazz master style. The maple neck looked pretty sweet too. Really a best of both worlds Fender.👍
Strattela indeed. Loved it. The name sounds like a candy bar. Edit: I had almost forgotten but Carvin sold a "Bolt - T" that was the same configuration and could be customized in a hundred different ways. Kiesel may still offer it.
tear drop bursts really make the guitar look like it has a beer belly ahaha the telemasters wen't too striking to me, then the tele-strat came out and I was floored. THATS definitely a weird one!
I just had a guitar shipped to me with not enough padding at the bottom. It was shipped without a case, wrapped in bubble wrap, and with only packing peanuts inside. Needless to say, when it hit something hard, the bottom strap button went right through the bubble wrap and broke through the cardboard box, pushing the strap button into the wood and carving out a nice, neat little hole in the bottom of the semi-hollow body
I liked the Parallel Universe guitars Fender did. The biggest issue is that these guitars are $2k for one. I think they should have been $500-$700 new. These are cool as off brand type of deals but not super premium Fenders.
Omg you bought those fenders from my local music store and I have played and put back all of them haha! I was tempted the turquoise jazzmaster tele but passed. Hope they find a good home Ps I don’t think I was one of the ones to put dings on any of those guitars lol
I love most of the Fender alternate universe stuff as well as the new models like the Meteora. Squire should do a version of that as I don't have Trogly cash to splash out every day on a whim! Lol. Cheers Austin lad.
I can relate to having guitars no one wants. My collection is the literal "Island Of Misfit Guitars" that are worth $0 in resale value but priceless to me.
Damn... I actually LOVE that Strat/Tele mashup... I wish I could own one :( Thirty years playing guitar... yet I've never been able even once to afford a good name brand Fender or Gibson.. I think the best guitar I ever had the opportunity to own was an epiphone les paul lol... I know.. that's about as sad as it gets.. but.... Not all of us can afford to buy good stuff I guess.
If I had the cash then none of these guitars would be unwanted by me. I am a sucker for just about any brand or style of guitar. All are fun and fascinating to me.
i wish I could play that seafoam jazz / tele. Something I noticed was how far back the bridge was on the Jazzmaster / tele. The telecaster in a stratocaster body's bridge was considerably further away from the the edge of the body
My friend in Japan owns a Jazz Tele personally really like it. He has the Surf Green though which is nicer in my opinion. Sounds super nice as well since it's just a Jazzmaster with a tele body.
Frank Discussion I don’t think that’s quite a tobacco burst that’s the darker burst, the tobacco is a bit lighter. People still refer to the lighter ones as a tobacco burst it’s not just a 70s thing. If you would see a tobacco one next to this you would see what I mean.
I once got a guitar in the mail wrapped with nothing but brown paper and packing tape over the gigbag. It was fine. It's my favorite guitar. I don't recommend it, but for WTHB's it's worth the gamble in my opinion.

Talking about controversial guitars, how do you feel about painted on f holes. Have a good day.

There is no such thing as an unwanted surf green guitar! 🥰🍔
Yeah, first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail
bing46 Sébastien I just recently boughT one
* Seafoam Green.
I would maybe get mine in that colour its a Gio, i don't like guitars with the plastic overlays, they ruin the lines.
Green just sounds better:)
I love watching your shows. It must be like Christmas Day everyday in the trogly household👍🍻
Forget the teles, the cleanest thing in this video were those packing peanut skills. I was genuinely impressed.
The pulling the guitar out of the box full of peanuts, that was the most impressive thing of all time
I genuinely love those Jazzmaster Teles and never understood the gate they got
that blue one looks so damn good
I feel like probably the main hate was the fact that stuff like this has been in the partscaster realm for years just like tele jazzmasters (jazzmaster with a tele configuration) and there is just something that feels unwanted about Fender doing official versions of them. so in that way, they aren't even recycling themselves, they are just lifting DIY/Partscaster guys ideas.
No kidding, those are so cool ... and I really like the Tele/Strat.
On their own they look pretty fine but if you put them next to other guitars they look just uggly to me.
@@dannyblau3850 The concept was similar to partscasters though I've never seen these particular designs before. At least Fender did their own thing with them and didn't just straight up release copies of the JazzCaster.
I want every one of those "unwanted" guitars.
That tele-strat hybrid has been on my radar for a while now, i abolutely love the looks of it.
Me too!
same, I love ugly duckling guitars
Same here!!
theres one thats mixed the other way round in my local music shop
I thought Yamaha and Carvin made some models along those lines.
I get the feeling from the comments that they weren't unwanted. Just nobody wanted to pay what Fender was asking for them
I love the Tele/Strat mashup. I've built several like it over the years and players always comment on them when I'm out and about playing.
Train wreck! Just can’t look away!! Hilariously funny 😆 😂😂😂👌
Great video Austin, thanks for sharing
I thought you were doing record scratch sound effects when you were checking out the Slash Les Paul, but it was the guitar case. XD
The strat/tele mash is so beautiful! I don't know how anyone can puke on them. I can see the purest not liking it but it's so beautiful. If I had the cash I would have 1 or 2.
Thank you for allowing some of us to dream beyond my means.
I love that Stratella imin the process of building one out of parts
"...but I think this thing is just so stupidly ugly I had to buy it." LOL
Surf Green...nice choice!
They see those mint green guards are sought after in the old ones that don't look too bad though I could think it could be worse
This is my new favorite channel. This guy is super calm and sometimes comedic and it's just a relaxing channel to watch with amazing guitars as well.
Can't wait to see your reviews of the unwanted Parallel Universe Fenders . I would have loved to buy any one of them if I had the money.
All guitars deserve some love and care.
Cats pissed in the guitar case 😂

I had a squier as well sadly I sold it and I regret it
4:25 There's something oddly satisfying about this. I didn't see a single peanut fall lol
Good to listen the sound of the freacky peace of art :-)
The jazzmaster tele are kinda cool, the Slash LP is the unwanted one for me
"Name one member of The Troggs..."
This narrator: *the sound of crickets*
The Styrofoam peanut extraction was epic and masterful.

Love the Telestrat. Its on my list of needs and wants.
the first guitar is one of the best guitars I’ve ever seen to be honest
The "stratele" was kinda cool. I dug the strat style tremolo vs the jazz master style. The maple neck looked pretty sweet too. Really a best of both worlds Fender.👍
Dude. No foam peanut were spilled! I couldn’t get past that.
I would love those unwanted guitars in my opinion they are beautiful
The "nouveau" it's an authentic beauty, congrats!!!
I wish I could hear it.
Really like the green jazzmaster tele.
that strat tele looks hilarious, I'd love to own one
I love that last strat tele sunburst
Strattela indeed. Loved it. The name sounds like a candy bar.
Edit: I had almost forgotten but Carvin sold a "Bolt - T" that was the same configuration and could be customized in a hundred different ways. Kiesel may still offer it.
I'm really digging the Sunburst jazz/tele guitar. I would buy it. I love teles, and love p90s and jazzmaster pickups.
I love those train wrecks. I can’t look away! 😅
Everybody has a strat. Would be cool to have something different.
The Dallas traffic looks pretty damn good I would love to have that one
I love the jazzmaster telecaster it's beautiful
tear drop bursts really make the guitar look like it has a beer belly
ahaha the telemasters wen't too striking to me, then the tele-strat came out and I was floored. THATS definitely a weird one!
Love the Strat-Tele mashup.
Geez, that jazz master telecaster is fantastic looking in my humble opinion...
Nice vid, kinda like that tele jazz🤣! Can't wait for the fender ultra reviews, especially the jazz bass 😆🤘🏻
The 2015 Gibson Les Paul Traditional is one such guitar that nobody wanted. I love it.
That surf green guitar is soo awesome!
That is some superb packing popcorn siftage
Nouveau timewarp!
Love your channel, thanks for what you do
Love the extra length of string on the Jazzmaster Tele. You bend those strings all the way into next week.

Another couple of unwanted guitars if my memory serves me was the Gibson Flying V and the Explorer.
I both love and hate how well that packing peanut thing worked
that jazz tele looks amazing both of them do.
I love the Telecaster / Stratocaster mix up. Don't have the money for it but it's so awesome

Victor Cavazos ha I’ve been in Austin for years
What were they asking for it??
How much money do you have? Buying guitars like we buy milk every day!
more than me thats for sure..
He worked hard and saved his money and may be just maybe thats his Moms basement...
@@seamusjones5516 Or maybe its where his MOM lives in HIS basement and plays wicked drums.
Addict for sure, but it makes him happy, but only bad business here, not resale possible, not refund, nothing

God I want that jazz master I must be the only Fender fanatic lol
Every unboxing video should end with a re-boxing, for the plot
Your such a lovely guy, always enthusiastic and positive, really enjoy your uploads, you really get some great guitars to deal with
that strat will sit in your lap a lot better than any strat ever.
