My plants and I love a North window. Your new studio is very nice. Congratulations. 😀❤❤❤

Your comment about the caulk hit home - I live in a 100+ year old house and I'm up to about 15 tubes of caulk (and nowhere near done!)
Thanks for the tour. I'm nosey and love other people's sewing space. I love how bright it is! And your big table is the stuff of seamstress dreams! 😍🙏

This was a beautiful tour! Thanks for sharing! :D Can't wait to see those knitting machines in action!

I honestly do not understand, why you have so little subscribers. You are very nice, you create beautiful clothes and generally I really like the mood of your videos. I am glad youtube showed me anything from you and I am really glad I had not been in more usual lazy mood and actually checked the whole channel :D I wish you a lot of fun doing what you are doing! I am also pretty socially awkward and never use comments in youtube, so I am happy to burst my onne in a lifetime random comment on you. Hopefully it will at least make the algorithm like you a little bit more.
Btw I would be happy to hear about any recommendation for tailoring education. I live in a tiny country and there are practically none opportunities to learn anything more than stitching pillow cases. I am thinking about treating myself with a proper course abroad or an online study, but have zero idea where to start looking.

Aw thank you so much! That means a lot to me (all of what you said!) I think RUclips is kind of the great education democratization platform, and there are some really nice tailoring specific channels out there. There is called International School of Tailoring that has a pretty good free tailoring course. I can’t vouch for the people behind the channel or anything, but what I’ve seen of the content checks out.

I don't know what I'm more astonished by - the timer plug for the iron (GENIUS) or the 10 knitting machines (!?). I love snooping on other people's sewing spaces!

      Haha, me too!
Knitting machines are dangerous because there are so many niche machines and different gauges (do I need a bulky sock machine? No. Do I need one if I come across a cheap one at an estate sale? Of course I do.) I also teach knitwear so there’s some level of excuse for it. But yes, it’s gotten a bit excessive.

I don't know if you follow her, but Morgan Donner has a video where she makes over her sewing room, and she has these stick on film? Or something over some of her windows and it diffuses the light, that may possibly be helpful for you?

Yes! Morgan Donner is awesome. Thank you for reminding me of this- I should rewatch her studio video and see what she used.

So lovely! I agree, the space makes such a huge difference. Not just with aesthetics, but in actually being able yo focus on the sewing. I finally have a cutting table and have refreshed my sewing room and it made a huge difference. No more trying to cut and pattern draft on a blanket box!

Yes! I mean, we do what we must, right? But I always cut my fabric on a bed before and I lived in fear that I’d find pins in it at night. And I did a couple times. Thank you!

You’re so right! I’m lucky to have a dedicated sewing space, but even when it’s messy from a project I find it hard to feel inspired. It’s so nice to have a room with places to organize the mess lol.

Cool space! I'm envious of you for having a work room. I really miss having a work room. These days I have a corner in my bedroom or sit at the dining table and sew or cut fabric.

Thank you! I’m very grateful for my space. My spot was always the corner of the dining room, and you knew if it was a big project because suddenly we’d be eating at the sofa every night 😬

@@anotherdreamgonewest I do OK with the set up I have my sons help me out with pinning and such. I got very sick and was to go to a nursing home. My adult sons instead moved me in with them. Against all odds I'm slowly improving health wise and now walk short distances. I live nearly rent free now. Some times we eat the coffee table because my stuff is on the dining table and I'm in the middle of a project.

Thank you! My table is from Uline- but check out offerup and Craig’s list. I found mine on offerup pretty reasonably and I just bought a new table top from uline.
