the only thing i dont like about the wipes is ultimately it takes away my reason to play. i mean just waiting for 3.18 makes me not want to play simply because anything i do now will be pointless. starting fresh is kinda fun atleast for my current plan of owning all the npc gear but once i hit my mark its back to the grind and the boredom arises
Wipes are fun from someone coming from Tarkov, though I understand this is different. But wipes I think help bring in players, which brings in money switch allows development
I came back a year and 6 days later after I initially purchased my $45 starter bundle and immediately I found an amazing group of guys who took me under their wing and have been teaching me from the ground up by throwing me into the shitter with them and it's been amazing. Literally the most fun/amazing experiences i've ever had in a game - period. They're clearly long time veterans, one said they've been 'playing' since ships weren't even flyable so i've been soaking up info from these guys as much as I can and i'm extremely grateful they're giving me a chance and taking me along to do things and experience things that a year ago I wouldn't think possible or thought that i'd never get to experience them. We've gone out in a Carrack, we've raided a 600i Explorer, we've done high threat/critical threat bounties - all stuff if you asked me a year ago "do you think you'd be comfortable doing these things?" i'd have told you absolutely not how's a solo going to ever do these things let alone a newbie. Here's to you fellas, for logging in every day to show me the nitty gritty and the spectacles the game can offer, for giving me 2m aUEC to let me choose a ship to buy like a kid in a candy store (before wipe so i really appreciate that, it's insanely generous i'm still bewildered). Can't wait for the wipe so we can all be semi building from the ground up and to keep learning, cheers Citizens.
Amazing experiences! It's a good time to hop back in, the polish is going up much faster than before and it's actually bearable! Glad you've been enjoying it! o7
Hi bandito, I was wondering what you're thoughts on this were. I'm sitting here watching this vid because I'm considering/wanting to play star citizen. But, of course I know this wipe is coming. It sounds like you are in with a good group of guys. Would you recommend waiting until after the wipe or ... are your people taking on new recruits? And if so, should I join now and possibly catch on with your outfit? I'm a reasonably experienced fps/ sim pilot, DCS, Facon BMS , etc and can be counted on to be in the verse virtually everyday. And champing at the bit to be a part of group adventures {your description of your fun with these guys sounds very exciting}. Let me know if interested. Take care
I definitely think there's a large part of it that is to motivate people to spend more pledge money. Like there's almost no reason they couldn't keep data on what ships people bought in game or what their wallet holds. And barring any in game money glitch, there's no reason to wipe those items other than to motivate people to spend more real money. It's honestly kind of gross. Like the game still seems great but that's a real messed up business model if I'm being honest
Would definitely say join an organization. I went from a solo player barely scraping by to a part of an organization and making millions. I got to try out lots of new ships, got into PVP and had more fun than ever before.
Oh brother. I've been playing for about a month now and it's quite the experience lol. Don't get attached to anything but your starter ship and DEFINITELY don't buy any personal guns or armor until you've learned how to not crash. One misclick when landing and you can lose everything in your inventory, so just be careful how much you keep on your person at any one point in time
Another thing to take into consideration is the prices for a lot of things, like ships, are way cheaper in alpha than they would be in the real game. Having lower prices allows people to grind up faster to try out new ships. But without insurance and storage costs, there is little to drain away at your coffers.
@@ninjawizard7021 Go check out tarkov. Not only do you have to grind and "get robbed" but it's also a torturous experience the whole way through! It's great fun.
Things bought with real money you keep and everything else you lose, the reason for this is that you should buy everything with real money. This has nothing to do with server stability but it should annoy you to get the things ingame again, so you should use your credit card. That is the company policy, apart from making promises that are almost never kept, making money is the only reason why this project still exists and yes, making money is important, but you should also get something for that. Bugs are not features. ;)
When you listen to the whole project you should know that the Devs always said until the beta will start everything you earn ingame can be wiped. That's why i don't understand people are crying about this. There is still no ingame ship insurance and for other stuff and the full persistence just starts right now with 3.18. But there is still no garantee that they can or will save something earned ingame until beta - probably begins with Pyro 4.0. Economic is still not optimized f.e. At the point when you can see ship insurances working ingame , then you know its the time to count on things you can earn ingame.
To me, the loot is the way. Once I get to 1 mill aUEC (after fully upgrading my entire fleet) I am pretty much set for whatever I choose to do. And that choice is to Continue to LOOT! Bodies, ships, boxes, baddies and any dropped item that makes me happy (Jawas are my spirit animal). For the most part 40% Def gear and Big Guns! Exceptions to the 40% rule are rare armor, pairs of glasses and sun glasses, groovy rare helmets of all sorts, lots of assorted ammo, colored flares and odd costumes. My helmet collection is outstanding, many styles and color choices of each style, I try to find styles that resemble chars in other games and movies, yeah I know I need counseling. I look forward to the wipe, new loot to loot to boot...
Is there any way you can take some time out of your day to explain to me what I should do if I purchase this game. Every year I come close to buying it but I always hear of everyone losing things and i'm not on for loss. But if I do loot things, can I stash them somewhere just in case I do die or the game crashes?
I am impressed by the number of "Prepare for wipe" vids are out. L1 L2 missions go quick free $$$ is literally laying all over the place in near risk free locations. For those unaware, the real opportunity is to find out about new and interesting ways toward rapid progression. In the end, those who've endured the wipes will be very quick to progress in Beta and Final Release.
I love your commentary. You should do tv. Very informal. Looks like I'm not the only one to think so. Crap, it took away your heart emoji when I edited to reply
As a player of the great Tarkov i have come to appriciate wipes. While they are annoying for the first time, each time you like them a bit more. and they solve one of the biggest issues games like this often have: endgame stagnation. When you have played the game through and there is nothing more to do, money just keeps piling up and nothing has a meaning anymore. While SCs cicles should and will be waaaaay longer people need to understand that this is first of all an alpha. so stuff is bound to change and wipes are gonna be needed to implement those changes. But even from a gameplay point. we dont have that many endgame loops yet, so a wipe is a fresh start with new things to do and explore. As soon as you see it that way you actualy get exited for them.
There is no intention to build a game. CIG's business model is to sell jpeg concept ships instead. Even if a game was at all possible, CIG have no interest in finishing it, because there's little money in the PU, especially when they've stated ships are free in-game. By buying more jpeg ships, you only postpone your realization, that you will NEVER get your game (as described). You will NEVER see either SQ2042, SC PU or any of the iconic capital ships (that are 8-10 years in limbo already). Why? Because this is a feature creep scam & it was always intended to be that and only that. What breadcrumb progress you do see, is simply enough to look like CIG are trying, even though it's obvious they're NOT. This is what 10 years of breadcrumbs looks like: nothing is significantly done, not even the so-called priority, SQ2042 (see below). The most critical detail is this however: it's not remotely possible to build the game on a 13 year old, originally 32bit, inappropriate FPS game engine, that is no longer supported by Crytek (or Amazon) and is massively inefficient with computer resources. There are far too larger hurdles in the way, to allow this backbreaking engine, any hope of building such a large universe, with numerous enormous capital ships (>1000 metres), with crazy player # requirements, as well as the countless game features that have been promised like damage, repairs, mining, cargo, towing, racing, salvage, exploration, medical, FPS, bounty hunting, NPC's, ship hacking, smuggling, game economics, the vast universe environment, farming, parts maintenance, PES, passenger transportation, server meshing, media reporting, data running, quantum interdiction, base building, ship bazaars, stealth tech, etc., none of which are close to ready and many haven't even been started. Both CPU/GPU loads, with near zero feature creep implemented, have been seen on ISC (28 Oct 22) to just manage 16 fps doing nothing fancy (with high end gear). With 100% feature creep implemented, the processing demands would rise exponentially and we would need computer hardware so advanced, it will not exist literally this century, if ever. It's that bad! So why was this engine chosen then? Well, it looks good and is ideal bait to lure backers in with. That's why! The engine also allowed CIG to make rendered movies of what falsely looks like in-game footage of interactive gameplay, where what was rendered instead was just a movie only. The perfect example, is the infamous initial Kickstarter video, pitched to backers in 2012, where CIG lied that "actual game assets rendered in real time in engine" were clearly not the case. The video shows a Bengal Carrier, stated to be 1km long, that has never been seen used in-game once (in 10 years), but we've seen countless rendered movies of it however. They didn't have any game content in 2012, much less a Bengal Carrier; they lied to you even then, that it existed. You have various scenes with CR holding a console controller, lying that he was playing (what was instead) the rendered movies we were viewing. There is no interactive game footage, or game, that those movies were captured from. Recent tours of inside the Idris are also false - they too are just collections of independent videos made into a montage, with no actual interactive game behind them. The legal hassles involving SQ42 are relevant as well. CIG had a license to make 1 game with Crytek's engine, but being the crooks that they are, they made two games instead (the PU & SQ42) and that means Crytek sued them for breach of contract/theft. CIG claimed they used Lumberyard to continue work on SQ42, but it's not that easy to switch. CIG have since settled out of court, meaning they had indeed made an illegal game. This means SQ42 has been in utter limbo since: all work would have to be scrapped entirely and Crytek would have to be paid everything CIG earnt as well. You'll find Crytek owns CIG because of it. Settling tells backers everything right there: no work has been completed on SQ42 whatsoever. Seven years, where CIG said SQ42 was the priority (over the PU) are now for nothing. They really fracked up, when splitting the single player intro from the PU, but if you're a crook, it's tough to go against your nature and so it happened! They created a second game, when they only had a license to make one. The irony is, CIG cannot make SQ42 anyway, for the same reasons it can't make the PU, which doesn't matter to CIG, because this is about scamming jpeg ships (now) instead. Also consider Chris Roberts: sacked from Microsoft, for the same vaporware issues with Freelancer ~20 years ago. He was blacklisted after that by the industry and that is why he showed up a decade later on Kickstarter scamming! It's been 10 years since and little has been worked on. We haven't seen any evidence that SQ42 exists, because it's not even been worked on. If they had indeed something to show, we'd be seeing it all the time. The income generated from such a demo, would be unimaginable. Instead we see rendered movies. Clearly it's all a charade, that hinges on distracting victims from the reality, that the game is impossible to make. Even the revenue CIG claims it generates is questionable; this too is a deliberate distraction/deception, designed to prevent backers realizing the game (as promised) is impossible to make. It's now over a decade later, where the biggest evidence, that you'll NEVER see your game (as promised), is it's a decade later and there's no end in sight.
That's okay, I just got this game a couple weeks ago, I don't have much stuff and I'm not really attached to any of it I just spent most of the time learning to fly and honing my skills
Hopefully by the time I purchase a better PC I'll be able to play after PES and Server Meshing is implemented. Plus I still have to purchase a ship probably just going to buy the cheapest ship.
Reminds of my old arcade days....Get high score on a machine and someone unplugs it( on purpose ...to add their high score ). Thankfully they started putting EPROMS in them! Great memories.
The good part is we'll have persistence at least for a year until they get Server Meshing in which I think will be sometime at the end of 2024 or early 2025. CIG said in that AsiaOne article that the earliest they could have Server Meshing in was at the end of next year, which, let's face facts and no shade: CIG's track record for being on time is non-existent unless it's a ship. That's verifiable. There's receipts online. 2025 for Server Meshing seems about right. Erin said this year that SQ42 was a year or two out. So 2025. Again, they've had an extra year almost on persistent hangars and Taxi missions and we still don't have those and they were supposed to be here when 3.17 was supposed to launch at the beginning of the year. It didn't happen until what, May? Again, no shade and you can google the receipts.
I think the notes about base building etc at the start of the year was old projections that we had arrived at, but weren't relevant to where development was, probably why they revamped the whole roadmap.
No matter how good developers are players will always figure things out in testing that they didn't think of. So wipes are the only real solution after the players have exposed the unseen mechanics/exploits. And with each patch the game gets better .
Any tech in tier 0-1 and player-facing will cause a wipe eventually is how I look at it. The more gold standard shipments we have will see fewer wipes. We have tonnes of Tier 0-1 and that won't change for a while. Seasons greetings and a Happy 2023 when it comes.
I can understand why they might happen, thanks for this bit of info. I just recently bought two starter packs, and generated the toons to go with them. I’ve been tooling around learning a bit, and am waiting on it to get a bit more serious. Thanks for this.

And when will they handle the BUG/NOT WORKING FEATURES? The game is too buggy in it's currently state... The current features do not work, how will they implament new ones?
If you have a great start and dont mind the grind a wipe isnt a problem but if you prefer to start from the very bottom solo.. then losing all that rep can be painful... I'll probably return after 4.0... until then I''ll swat Thargoids
Last wipe shall be when we near the Soft-Beta launch, when we'll finally get rid of Alpha UEC, until then yeah, there shall still be at least 4 or 5 wipes.
For the drive by console players. THIS is a development and FULL wipes are expected an will be until no longer needed. HOWEVER when it passed out of ALPHA in to beta a full wipe will be conducted.
The only things I don’t like about 99% of orgs in Star Citizen, is Discord, and people who say they’re always online, aren’t. At least GII doesn’t false advertise this, and there is almost certainly going to be someone ready to play at a moment’s notice. Epic Org.
Are you able to keep the ships which you buy in game curency after wipe? Idk.. im just asking i played this game only when It was 2 days free try. But im thinking to purchase the starter pack.
do you lose ship you pay in game to when the game wipe? I would hate to grid to keep a cool ship and then just lose all the time I put in getting that ship just from a wipe. what to play the game but what a full understanding of what going to happen doring a wipe I just what to know what happend to in game paying ship will the get wipe too or they stay and get to keep them
3.18 is delayed for this month, folks are giving out money like crazy. Me and about 15 other guys had a meet-up two days ago and one dude named slumking gave away like 300 million credits overall. I got 5 Mil myself and bought a Constellation and some ground vehicles today. Got to play with a ship I'd never have gotten the opportunity to use for probably months otherwise. I'm hoping they delay it a little longer so I can get some chances to run a couple missions in it with some lads, but I'm grateful all the same
Do we know when the wipe is coming? I don't want to grind too much to be sad when it all goes away. I've kind of just been using this time to get used to the game bc I'm a new player. I bought a pledge back in 2016 and completely forgot about it.
The 3.18 wipe is very important especially after the crap show that was 3.17.2 With 3.17.2 i was given 79m and it spoiled me rotten. I was able to buy any and all ships i wanted, even if just to check out the interiors. I had nothing to grind for, nothing to work for. Nothing to do. So i played very little of 3.17.2 to 3.17.4. I'm looking forwarding to 3.18 and having my ingame stuff wiped so i can actually do stuff that matters again.
Would be nice if the new wipe also wipes the issues with data.p4k file... I haven't even been able to make it to my spaceship... crash after crash, no matter what...
I had so many good ships and the game wiped the progress... have not played since. will likely not play again till they figure shit out. not throwing away my time like that ever again on a game that is broken.
@@R4mbo87 vulture is coming in the 3.18 update its a salvage ship so you go out to wrecks and harvest destroyed ships mining will probobly be better at money making but its pretty difficult for noobs to get into where as the salvage is just find a ship take its hull process it in your ship into cubes and sell it
Make enough money to rent a Conny and have some spare. Grind Bounties with it, even if you suck at PVE you cant really die in that ship. Grind up to be able to do group-bounties. You will make your first million withing HOURS.
Man, that's horrible. They could hire 1 - a few people that make sure to export / import atleast the Reputation-Progress. It's just data, it's possible and just exporting / importing the Reputation, and even do automated conversion is a simple thing. Even converting between databases is something 1 person could do.
For me it seems gamebreaking. I know it's an alpha and stuff and should be expected, but we don't even know when it comes out of alpha. Could be 20 years. And then they keep wiping for the DLCs. Ayayayayay
Your timeline animation increases as you go left. This is I think objectively wrong. Unless you're from a culture that writes right to left, do they start their timeline on the right? Otherwise enjoyed the vid 👍
Please don't encourage begging. I get that it's before a wipe and money is kinda worthless right now, but the begging will continue after the wipe more and more if they're getting encouraged to do it
What I find hard to accept is the fact that the reasons for these wipes they give us are sometimes total bogus. It was 3.17 or 3.16 I believe when they outright said that there was no technical necessity for a wipe at all, they just wanted to collect data on what players do when they start over. Obvious nonsense, there are plenty of new players signing up, no reason to wipe people's progress for it.
Has no one ever thought about why they do these things, like to make more money out of people 5% of people will probably spend their own money after loosing everything they did and grinned for
I still don't get why a complete wipe is necessary. I get why PES would make inventory/storage and whatnot a concern and that's fine, but how would persistent entities affect Reputation? They work on entirely separate systems, unless reputation is in some way physicalized lmao. And the idea of the economy not having financial sinks is patently foolish: honoring player play time should be a legitimate concern; after all they're the ones playing the game. If this is an alpha, the ultimate goal should have all ships accessible to a majority of players for testing purposes; resetting the economy actively hinders a significant amount of the playerbase from trying out high-end ships like the 890j and losing out on potential insights from those players. I still say its a "have a cake and eat it too" situation by CSI, and I'll put up with it, but it's trying to be both an arcade game where progression doesn't matter, and a MMO where you spend ages leveling up and trying to commit to long-term investments that could take a full month to come to fruition., and neither is fully realized.
SIMPLE: People would buy significantly less ships, or stop buying at all. Possibly even stop playing, since there has not been a lot of game play I kind of log in every 2 Years, waiting till it matches Assassin's Creed for entertainment.
another reason for the wipes: resetting the economy, so people with to much money who have no reason to play the game anymore have to grind back up to where they were, which brings the player count up.
Was checking in on this "game" since I havent heard anything for over a year, saw that they now added loosing your inventory when you die, awesome way to delete about 70% of your potential playerbase plus still just a cash scam, maybe will check in in about 5-6 years more if people are still falling for it.
You know when we will see a end to the wipes......when CIG stops making money on ship sales and we know that will never happen any time soon. That's right if you want to keep your ships just give CIG money it's not pay to win think of it as pay to keep.
the only thing i dont like about the wipes is ultimately it takes away my reason to play. i mean just waiting for 3.18 makes me not want to play simply because anything i do now will be pointless. starting fresh is kinda fun atleast for my current plan of owning all the npc gear but once i hit my mark its back to the grind and the boredom arises
Yeah at least let us keep first person gear
@@justinz830 I would rather keep ship components
I think the biggest fix would be buying or moving gear from anywhere using NikNak
Wipes are fun from someone coming from Tarkov, though I understand this is different. But wipes I think help bring in players, which brings in money switch allows development
Just kill players to fill the void
I came back a year and 6 days later after I initially purchased my $45 starter bundle and immediately I found an amazing group of guys who took me under their wing and have been teaching me from the ground up by throwing me into the shitter with them and it's been amazing.

Lucky.
Cool story bro. And the you woke up
If you are not playing with other people, this game is sterile.
Undetstand, but won't waste money or free time on constantly starting from ground zero. Lastly, like your calm, intelligent style. Earned a sub.
Excellent video! I sent it to my friend who just started playing as it explains the wipe better than I would.
Would definitely say join an organization. I went from a solo player barely scraping by to a part of an organization and making millions. I got to try out lots of new ships, got into PVP and had more fun than ever before.
very nice video always with top quality and a super nice voice !
Always a pleasure to catch a Tomato Talk, Space Tomato, and long may they continue to elucidate and educate on all things Star Citizen
Outstanding production quality, ST. Really well done. (And great content).
Thank you :)
Eventually ISCs will look like this. I believe they're literally adopting STs format
also keep in mind it is a great opportunity for a boring lawfull player to try out the "other" side which is (quest-related) payed even better ^^
"welcome to my tomato talk" thats super cute and incredibly unique, absolutely love it XD
Somehow over the years it hasn't gotten old. Glad you enjoy it! :D
I love the effort you put into your videos man, definitely gonna be looking for your videos all the time
another great video from daddy tom. still making great news for players to earn from :)
Lol thanks Jon. Always want to keep informing!
Wipes is a fresh start im a Rust player so i love it... think im gonna buy a Mercery star runner so im ready for 3.18.. im a sucker for that ship.
Great video. Covered the wipe really well.
great channel! first vid ive seen of you. looking forward to more vids like this!
The title of the vid should be Everything you need to know about SC progress wipes.
I just brought a ship (small starter nothing fancy) and finally managed to download the game, look forward to playing once I have time
I wish you the best. Feel free to hop on our discord if you ever need help!
But without insurance and storage costs, there is little to drain away at your coffers.
grind to be ROBBED later? what is wrong with you all really...
@@ninjawizard7021 heh? 🤨
@@ninjawizard7021 wah? Robbed? that's some hard words that mean nothing at all
@@ninjawizard7021 Go check out tarkov. Not only do you have to grind and "get robbed" but it's also a torturous experience the whole way through! It's great fun.
Alpha testing shouldn't be a grind imo
Things bought with real money you keep and everything else you lose, the reason for this is that you should buy everything with real money. This has nothing to do with server stability but it should annoy you to get the things ingame again, so you should use your credit card. That is the company policy, apart from making promises that are almost never kept, making money is the only reason why this project still exists and yes, making money is important, but you should also get something for that. Bugs are not features. ;)
That's it right their, just practice till it goes live!
I really like a fresh start and getting all those dupes cleaned up finally
Other games: How to dupe. Star Citizen: Fucking duped filling up all my shit ahhh
Who the hell plays a game that has data wipes?
Nah
I think wipes really validate video games being a waste of time lol I wanna see what I’ve earned
That's because people play it as a game rather than as an alpha tester
It's not the same, tarkov Is like Rust you can grind the best stuff I'n a day, in Star citizen it takes months
That's okay, I just got this game a couple weeks ago, I don't have much stuff and I'm not really attached to any of it
I just spent most of the time learning to fly and honing my skills
Great vid ST as usual. I'm an sc veteran and still always find new tips from you. Have a great weekend! Go 3.18!
You can't miss out on the most engaging and productive gameplay loop: begging in chat for credits!
No matter how good developers are players will always figure things out in testing that they didn't think of. So wipes are the only real solution after the players have exposed the unseen mechanics/exploits. And with each patch the game gets better .
In the end we'll always have a Beta and a Release wipe regardless of future alpha wipes
Every time I get ready to want to make the Purchase I just don't for fear of loss..
No problem!

It be good for a fresh start - timmybob
And when will they handle the BUG/NOT WORKING FEATURES? The game is too buggy in it's currently state... The current features do not work, how will they implament new ones?
Yeeaaa, I'll get to know what I actually have in my inventory!
I have...
2893480340826834 missiles. (who else members that bug; 50000% full local, all missiles.)
If you have a great start and dont mind the grind a wipe isnt a problem but if you prefer to start from the very bottom solo.. then losing all that rep can be painful... I'll probably return after 4.0... until then I''ll swat Thargoids
its an outrage it is... they DO NOT need to remove aEUC... this is pure stealing
awesome video
Can someone tell me when the wipes stop forever please?
love your videos!
At some point, they need to stop wiping money.
The only things I don’t like about 99% of orgs in Star Citizen, is Discord, and people who say they’re always online, aren’t.
At least GII doesn’t false advertise this, and there is almost certainly going to be someone ready to play at a moment’s notice.
Epic Org.
top. I liked the explanation
Why are people even bothering with Luminalia if it's all just going to wipe in a few weeks?
I read some where we get to keep in game purcharsed ships, isnt it true?
Are you able to keep the ships which you buy in game curency after wipe? Idk.. im just asking i played this game only when It was 2 days free try. But im thinking to purchase the starter pack.
Games earned in-game will be wiped with 3.18.
Just hoping the wipes become history soon.
nah, we have another year of wipes at least if not more
In the end we'll always have a Beta and a Release wipe regardless
I have bad news for you
@@EmilSosnin haha yeah.. there's a very high probability you're right sigh 😕 😔
Do starter ships wipe? Lets say you pick a expensive ship will you keep it forever with wipes.
Whatever you can see in your hanger on the RSI website you keep
do you lose ship you pay in game to when the game wipe? I would hate to grid to keep a cool ship and then just lose all the time I put in getting that ship just from a wipe. what to play the game but what a full understanding of what going to happen doring a wipe I just what to know what happend to in game paying ship will the get wipe too or they stay and get to keep them
You sure were right about the sugar daddy part
As a rich one came in a server and gave everyone 10 mil
And few j890s
A reset is required because there is a lot of cheating and exploits happening. Cig won't be able to truly address it until a late build.
Indeed
Yeah and we all need to thank the exploiters/cheaters. They are really making the end product a lot better.
I hope I wont have 500 loose missiles in my home storage anymore...
I've been practicing my post wipe plan. I believe I am ready.
Comeback today after 3.15... Got stuck in hex elevator, see you next year.
Do we know what programs SpaceTomato uses for video capture and video editing? his production value is mint
everytime I try to get into this game, its a short time before a wipe :(
I just started playing will i loose ship and ingame money? I bought with pack?
The 3.18 wipe is very important especially after the crap show that was 3.17.2
With 3.17.2 i was given 79m and it spoiled me rotten. I was able to buy any and all ships i wanted, even if just to check out the interiors.
I had nothing to grind for, nothing to work for. Nothing to do.
So i played very little of 3.17.2 to 3.17.4.
I'm looking forwarding to 3.18 and having my ingame stuff wiped so i can actually do stuff that matters again.
where can I find this table at 2:32 ?
Would be nice if the new wipe also wipes the issues with data.p4k file... I haven't even been able to make it to my spaceship... crash after crash, no matter what...
Will persistent streaming effect unscannable rocks? It's extremely hard to show new players the ropes when not a single rock will scan....
No, it has nothing to do with that
I love that part. "Maybe you'll make a friend. Or a sugar daddy."
I had so many good ships and the game wiped the progress... have not played since. will likely not play again till they figure shit out. not throwing away my time like that ever again on a game that is broken.
i may be about to loose 7.8 mill but im not too fussed because when 3.18 comes ill have my vulture to make money with
Buy a prospector and you will have way more then 7-8 millions after the first 2-3 days
How do you get the vulture? Just started yesterday, and after seeing this I need atleast some kind of possible sustainable progress
@@R4mbo87 vulture is coming in the 3.18 update its a salvage ship so you go out to wrecks and harvest destroyed ships
mining will probobly be better at money making but its pretty difficult for noobs to get into where as the salvage is just find a ship take its hull process it in your ship into cubes and sell it
Why add more stuff when you have to relog 5 times to take a drink of water
Make enough money to rent a Conny and have some spare. Grind Bounties with it, even if you suck at PVE you cant really die in that ship. Grind up to be able to do group-bounties. You will make your first million withing HOURS.
For me at least - its a game breaker... Star citizen is no more in my life for many years until this stops...
Not to mention if it's "too easy" to make heaps of money in game, there will be no longer and compelling reason to buy ships with real money. XD
Please don't encourage begging. I get that it's before a wipe and money is kinda worthless right now, but the begging will continue after the wipe more and more if they're getting encouraged to do it
I still have all my money. Was there a wipe?
does your ship stay
or better yet is it worth the money to even play'
So you keep nothing in wipes?
i would get thrown out of clans (orgs) if i would join because of inactivity. was always the reason. so no org for me.
Not for me. I didn't play the game this year. Started to be boring.
For a game we paid for and millions of dollars invested-why in the hell do they wipe our save data?
So if im a dumb mf and going to buy stuff from their store im imune to wipes ok . This just confirms that i should not even try this test project.
This game became my favorite but the wipes turned me off.. waiting for starfield
SIMPLE: People would buy significantly less ships, or stop buying at all.
Possibly even stop playing, since there has not been a lot of game play
I kind of log in every 2 Years, waiting till it matches Assassin's Creed for entertainment.
this is a join my org add, nothing much else said .....
another reason for the wipes: resetting the economy, so people with to much money who have no reason to play the game anymore have to grind back up to where they were, which brings the player count up.
Was checking in on this "game" since I havent heard anything for over a year, saw that they now added loosing your inventory when you die, awesome way to delete about 70% of your potential playerbase plus still just a cash scam, maybe will check in in about 5-6 years more if people are still falling for it.
I love the wipe
Remember your belongings belong to you.
Personally I do not see enough content to keep starting over and over again. 2k in ships and I just do not have fun starting over.
You know when we will see a end to the wipes......when CIG stops making money on ship sales and we know that will never happen any time soon. That's right if you want to keep your ships just give CIG money it's not pay to win think of it as pay to keep.
Bruh
Play something else 🙃
